Tracy convinces Luke to change Alan's will, Lulu learns something interesting from Dillon and Carly is, well, Carly.
After Jason tells Carly that he's ready to take her to the Dominican Republic, she tells him that she can't go! She explains that he needs time with the Quartermaines now. Jason says that there's nothing he can do there, he's ready to help her. She comes clean and says that her situation is too complicated now, but Jason needs to hear more. In her normal convoluted manner, Carly blurts out, "…Jax came back, the whole hostage thing happened…and I slept with Sonny." Jason is dumbfounded to hear that little tidbit of information. She tries to explain that she and Sonny were exhausted and worried about everything after they were released as hostages and they needed to be close. She explains that she has not broken up with Jax, and that he is trying to come to terms with it. She tries to draw a parallel to what she did with Sonny and the night that Jason and Liz spent together. Jason doesn't want to go there. Carly talks herself into realizing that she does want to leave for the Dominican Republic, right now.
Edward hangs up the phone in the Quartermaine study and tells Tracy that Alan's will is to be read this afternoon. Tracy thinks it's too soon, and Edward says that it's just a formality, anyway. He says that Alan wanted to provide for his children and Emily is the only one who isn't already well off, so she will be the heir. Tracy tells Dillon that maybe her Uncle Alan has provided for his future. Dillon scoffs.
Cooper looks great in his Metro Court security uniform, according to Maxi who is hard at work restocking the boutique. He tells her that she can come along with him to see if there's a room to rent at Kelly's and they say goodbye until after work. Meanwhile a guy is sneaking up behind Cooper. He puts a gun to his neck and says, "I thought you had better reflexes, Private". Cooper doesn't recognize Logan, his old army buddy's, voice right away and he is scared. When he turns around and realizes who it is, the two men hug. Logan reports that he is delivering Cooper's share of the money that they earned on the black market in Iraq. Cooper thanks him for bringing it and says that he only needs it until he gets his first paycheck. Cooper remembers that Logan's dad is from Port Charles and asks if that's why he is hand delivering the cash. Logan admits that his stories about going fishing as a kid with his old man were something he made up while they were doing duty together. The truth is that he never knew who his father was. He tells Cooper to help him get a job at the Metro Court, too. Cooper says that he doesn't want to mess up his new chance at life and points out that Logan is always looking for some side action. Logan says that he knows they're not in Iraq anymore; he wants a fresh start too.
Luke comes into Laura's house while Lulu is reading the letter from Alan. She tells her dad that she's reading something personal and he gives her some space, but not before he warns her to stay away from Scott Baldwin. After having the time to re-read the letter, Dillon shows up and they finally have time alone to talk. Lulu tells him that they need to keep the revelation in the letter secret until they find proof that Scotty killed Rick Webber. Lulu suggests that Spinelli can help them and Dillon awkwardly says 'the Jackal" gets on his nerves. He asks her to deal with him this time. When Lulu doesn't understand why Dillon can't do it, he explains, "He's a stoner and a hacker and somehow he's your hero right now and I'm…jealous." Dillon adds that Milo and Spinelli are all competitive over Lulu right now and they give him a hard time because of their "thing". Lulu agrees that sure they had a "thing" last summer, but he has a "thing" with Georgie now, right? Dillon explains that he and Georgie have broken up. He says that they rushed into a marriage that they were too young for and that they realized that they were holding onto something that isn't there anymore. Lulu tells Dillon that they rushed into their "thing" and they're lucky to be friends at this point. He tells her that she is his best friend. And IF it ever became something more, he would be okay with that. Lulu's mouth drops open. Dillon kisses her on the head and leaves.
Lucky surprises Liz at work with a big hug from behind. She's excited to see him. He tells her that he'd like to tell Cam that they will be a family again. They agree to meet at the new house after her shift. They kiss goodbye. Down the hall, Monica and Bobbie are walking arm-in-arm. Monica is telling her worried friend that she wants to come back to work because she feels Alan's presence there. Dr. Ford joins them and tells Monica that not only is he going after the position of Chief of Staff, she should withdraw her name and save herself from an unpleasant fight.
Tracy has summoned Luke to help her get an advance copy of Alan's will. She wants to make sure that she is the one who gets his shares in ELQ. "You mean forge Alan's will?" Luke asks. Tracy gives him a look that definitely means "what else?" She explains that she has worked twice as hard to prove that she's capable but Edward never took her seriously because she is a female. She says that she has earned the right to run ELQ. She tells him that he will help her because he swills her booze, eats her food, staged a phony wedding in her garden and she supports him AND his daughter. Luke says he'll help her, but Alan is going to leave him sympathy money for being married to her.
Lulu has hobbled to meet Spinelli at the warehouse coffee shop to ask for help in proving Scott was the killer. She thinks that between them, Milo and Dillon they can find what they need. Spinelli informs her that the Jackal works alone. He says that "the film guy" isn't worthy of her awesomeness and she shouldn't "Interface" with him. Lulu says that she's not "interfacing" with anyone and she's not ready to…yet. Spinelli is elated and promises to help her. After he leaves, Lulu gets a cup of coffee and runs into Cooper's friend Logan. Literally. They argue over who is ruder.
Maxi has finished restocking the Metro Court boutique and she finds Cooper to tell him the good news. He doesn't get why, exactly, that is good news? Maxi explains that now she can find a dress for when he takes her out to dinner to express his gratitude. Cooper smiles.
"Who's your Daddy?" a very well-dressed Luke returns to the from the lawyer's office with Alan's will. He truly makes Tracy call him "daddy" before he hands it over. So, she does. Before she opens it, they both agree that the best thing to honor Alan's memory would be to leave his will alone. But they rip it open anyway. As suspected, Alan left a generous trust to Emily, but as it turns out, she is not named as the sole beneficiary. The rest of his estate goes to Jason's children…should he have them. "We have work to do!" Tracy yells. Luke says he'll get right on it, but what does Tracy want the will to say? Tracy wants it to be worded so the whole thing goes to her, but Luke points out that will be too suspicious. So Tracy says that the will should read: "Alan loves Jason, but he has amassed a fortune through his criminal activities. Alan loves Emily and Skye, but they will both be cared for by their men." Luke thinks that Alice should be named and Tracy says that Alice is only "help". Luke suggests that Alice get fifty grand and he should be bequeathed a half million. Tracy scoffs and says that her brother didn't even like Luke! As Luke is saying that "the rest will go to you," Edward walks into the room and wonders what they are talking about. Luke covers by saying that although he will always love Laura, "The rest of his heart goes to Tracy."
As Carly and Jason are buckled into their seatbelts on the plane to the Dominican Republic, the pilot says that their takeoff is delayed for 15 minutes because of air traffic. Carly thinks that Sonny has arranged the whole thing to stop her from getting the divorce. She lists all of the ways that Sonny will sabotage their take-off in the next few minutes. Jason says that Sonny doesn't even know that they are leaving, but she contends that he's probably following her. "Do you want Sonny to stop you?" Jason wisely asks. Carly says no, but Sonny won't make it easy for her. Jason asks her one more time if she wants to stay with Sonny. She answers by saying that she doesn't want to stay with Sonny, but if she marries Jax; someone else will be raising Sonny's kids. "Could you stand being shut out of your own family?" she asks Jason.
Meanwhile, a happy little scene is unfolding at the new Spencer family house. Liz, Lucky and Cam are frolicking through the house, showing Cam "where Daddy grew up." Liz tells him that Daddy and Mommy are getting married. They show him his new room and then run out to the back yard to decide where the swing set will go.
