Finding things.Wednesday, January 24 2007 |
Nikolas finds Spencer, Max finds yet another new job, Liz finds out that it's date night and Carly comes home to find a new roomie.

Nikolas and Emily have been lured to St. Petersburg by Helena. Nik thinks he found someone who knows where to start looking for Spencer. An old family employee arrives at their hotel room and Nikolas is happy to see him. The man confirms that Helena is indeed in St. Petersburg, as is the young prince. They are staying at an old Cassidine palace and museum. It is heavily guarded by a local crime lord named Renko. Nikolas insists on meeting with him within the hour.
Skye is not happy to find Lorenzo in his room, dressed and ready to leave the hospital. She won't hear of it; she puts him back in his pjs and tucks him back into bed. She begs him to try to delay the shipment so that he has time to recuperate. He says he'll try, but doesn't think it will work.
Lucky wants to redeem his rain check for dinner with Liz. Tonight! He has a table for them at the Metro Court and Audrey is happy to watch Cameron. Liz tells him it's too expensive, but he wants to treat Elizabeth to a nice evening out. He tells her that tonight can be a new beginning if only she will show up. She accepts his invitation.

At the warehouse coffee shop, Carly breezes in and tells Jason that she needs to talk to Sonny. She is floored to see that Max is serving espresso instead of working directly with Sonny – just because he helped her to slip away. Sonny comes out of his office and she calls him a jerk. She tells Sonny that Max is devoted to him, but Sonny points out that Max is devoted to her. She calls him a bully and insists that they are getting a divorce the second he is in the clear. As soon as he can get a word in, Max offers them a muffin. Jason justifies Sonny's decision because a guy has to be able to trust his body guard. Carly gets right in Max's face and asks him to come work for her. Max gives the sweetest little smile and says, "yes". As she and Sonny argue over him, Max quietly sits and eats a muffin.
Liz takes a message for Epiphany at the nurse's desk. It's from a guy named "Tyrone Quinn", Liz tells her after she hangs up. She conveys the message that he misses her and can't wait to see her smile. Epiphany explains to Liz that he made her fall in love with him, then ran off with another woman and left her with a baby to raise.
Cruse and Lucky are on surveillance on the waterfront because DA Lansing wants to know why all the gangsters seem to be on vacation. Lucky starts talking about how encouraged he is by Liz and her desire to bust Maxi for her lie. Cruse cautioned his friend not to get his hopes up for reconciliation. He reminds Lucky that things were rough for he and Liz long before Maxi and the pills became a part of the equation. Lucky says he's got it all under control now.

Ric pays Lorenzo a visit and they squabble, as usual. Ric says he is moving forward with a case against Sonny for attempted murder. Still, he wants to know what was so important that Lorenzo wanted to shoot Sonny himself. And, why does it feel like there is calm before the storm? Lorenzo says that nothing is going on that involves the DA's office or the PCPD. Skye walks into the room and asks Ric why he's badgering a crime victim without a lawyer present. Ric is impressed by her moxie, and asks when she became Lorenzo's personal cheering section. As Ric and Skye go at it, Lorenzo reminds Ric that he has evidence him so he'd better butt out of his business.

Max shows up at the Metro Court and is surprised to see Sam behind the desk. He tells her that Carly made him the new head of security. When Mr. Morton comes out to the lobby and Max informs him of Carly's decision, he says that Max doesn't present the image that the Metro Court wants to project. Sam pulls him aside and tells him that if he gets to know Max, he'll see that he's a good guy to have around. And, it's in their best interest to keep Carly happy.

Sonny and Carly are still bickering over Max, their marriage of convenience, and her big mouth that led to it. Jason quietly watches to make sure it doesn't get out of control. Finally he goes off on them for the way they are acting. He tells them that Michael and Morgan are a part of this now and they need to figure out a way to NOT hurt them. Again. He storms out the door.'

Carly softens a little and explains to Sonny that she took the boys to Aspen because he made the wedding day seem more emotional than she wanted it to and she wanted to send him a signal. Sonny enquires about Jax, and when he learns that Carly hasn't heard from him, he plants a seed of doubt.
Jason is out on the waterfront "thinking in circles" when Liz comes across him. He's glad for the company. He explains what's on his mind – the Sonny/Carly situation. He feels badly for pressuring Carly into marrying him, when he knew fully well that she loves Jax. He doesn't want her to get hurt. Liz pontificates about love, life and the choices we all make. Do the promises we make to loved ones still count if you wake up and realize that you're two different people now? Jason says a deal is a deal. Everybody makes mistakes.

Nikolas and Emily are back from meeting the crime lord. Emily is impressed that Nikolas handled him so well. Nikolas simply brushes it off the the fact that he paid the guy more money than Helena is. Hopefully now they'll be able to intercept Helena before she moves on. Emily talks about how beautiful St. Petersburg is and Nikolas recalls beatuful pageants from his childhood. Suddenly, he realizes where Helena has taken Spencer.
Skye hands Lorenzo his double secret cell phone so that he can ask to delay the shipment. She hears him say that it's already on its way and agree to continue as planned. After he hangs up, Lorenzo promises Skye that this will be the last job of this magnitude, one way or another. If it succeeds, he doubts that his cohorts will try to move anything this substantial through his territory again. If it fails, he'll be dead!
Carly stops into the Metro Court and Mr. Morton greets her. She's surprised to see that Sam works there and tells Mr. Morgan to take care of her. Carly greets Sam and promises to treat her as awful as she treats everyone else. Carly takes Max to see something upstairs, and Lucky comes in to make special arrangements for his dinner. Sam takes care of everything for him. She reserved the best table by the window for them, and a bouquet of fresh flowers will be delivered once they are seated.

Nikolas and Emily bust into a private ceremony in which Helena is declaring her heir's new name. Nikolas interrupts and says, "My son's name is Spencer."

As Carly comes home, she sees Milo standing guard on her front porch. Sonny is inside making fettuccine Alf redo for dinner. He tells her that since she won't move into his house, he has moved into hers.
NEXT ON GH:
Lucky wants to know why Sam is so interested in getting him and Liz back together.
Sonny tells Carly that what they have is a lot stronger than what she has with Jax.
Liz tells Jason that maybe his child does exist.
