Professor Pete stirs the pot and ends up on his way to Vegas, Robin and her pals plan a road trip, Spinelli puts in a good day's work and Maxi is (still) up to no good.

Professor Pete has dropped in to check out Patrick's new digs. He scoffs at the new furniture and is certain that Robin is to blame for his friend's new domestic status. As he's going on and on about how Robin's next move will be to want to move in, she walks into the room wearing her robe and announces that he's too late. Patrick clarifies that Robin didn't descend on him; in fact, she was hard to convince. Pete makes a hasty retreat saying that he'll leave the two lovebirds to their nest. After he's gone, Patrick says that Pete's reaction was a little "too easy".

Lucky is having coffee at Kelly's and Georgie takes the opportunity to apologize to him for what Maxi has done. Just then a very chipper Maxi walks in with Cruse. Apparently he has just pulled Maxi out of the path of a car, and she is very grateful. Lucky blows up at Maxi for coming on to his partner then he and Cruse take off for work. Georgie has a little talk with Maxi. She points out that since Jesse died, her life has spiraled out of control. "I think you need to address this fascination you have with cops," the wise younger sister says.

Diane pays a visit to Alexis and tells her that she is making a grave miscalculation in fighting Ric in court. She thinks Alexis should cop the misdemeanor plea, pay the fine and end it. Alexis wants to fight the stupid law against medicinal marijuana.

Before Sam can leave for work, Jason tells Sam that somebody tried to kill Sonny yesterday. He explains that it probably has something to do with Lorenzo's shipment, and that he wants her to lay low until the whole thing is over. She tells him that she has a new job to think about, and wants to see how Alexis is doing. She promises to be careful. As they kiss goodbye, Spinelli tries to slip by them but Jason grabs him by the shirt. Sam leaves, Jason tells the "Jackal" to find out everything there is to know about a shipment coming to Port Charles. Spinelli is excited to help "Stone Cold."
At the hospital, Alan and Monica argue about various things, and finally Monica spews something about how he should be "covering his butt". He doesn't understand what she's talking about. "Rick Webber" Monica explains. 'Why can't the guy stay dead?" Alan steams as she fills him in on what Lulu and Dillon have been doing.

Lulu and Dillon are bouncing theories off of each other at the Q house. Disgruntled mistresses…angry bookies…who knows how many people could have done killed Rick Webber? Dillon tells Lulu that it's her job to narrow it down because he wants to spend his time finding a way to rule Alan out as a suspect.

Robin is at the hospital working when Noah finds her and asks for a consultation. She tells him that she's busy later – with Patrick. Noah is happy to hear that, and even happier when she reports that not only has Patrick given up his hotel life, he has a new roommate.

Lulu goes over to Jason's to get some more work out of Spinelli. Jason says that he needs Spinelli at the moment. Lulu argues that her project is more important. Spinelli blabs that she thinks Jason's mom or dad murdered Rick Webber and framed her mom for it. Lulu admits her theory. She tells Jason that even though he's a tough guy, he probably doesn't want to believe that his parents are killers. But she knows her mother isn't. And if she can prove it, maybe Laura will come back. Jason is gentle with her, but explains that he doesn't think that can happen. He tells her about what happened to him years ago, and when the brain is physically affected, there is no going back. She knows it's a stupid fantasy, but she still would like to prove her mother's innocence.
Alan comes home and finds Dillon waiting for him. Dillon says that Edward wants to cut down a beautiful old oak tree and asks Alan to talk him out of it. He's able to segue the conversation into one about how much Alan loves and preserves life. Alan sees through Dillon's probing about the Webber case and says that he'd still want to squash Rick Webber like a bug.

Pete shows up at Patrick's door for a "man vow" intervention. He reminds Patrick that they made a deal in college and it's time to live up to it. The deal was -- when one of them claims to be in love, the other will kidnap him away to see if he can resist temptation. Robin walks in the door and overhears the conversation. She tells Patrick not to let her stop him. Patrick gives Pete an "I told you so" look, but Pete points out that Robin sounds like she's giving permission as if Patrick is her little boy. Patrick clarifies that he's not going to Vegas simply because he doesn't want to.

Spinelli has founds something for Jason. He reports that he was able to check all of Alcazar's normal methods of shipping and receiving and none of them point to any activity in the near future. He deducts that it must be something small that can arrive via another way.

Cruse and Lucky have reported to the Metro Court for a purse snatching. Maxi is working and decides to play with Cruse by acting as if she is the victim. Lucky makes her knock it off and she asks if he's jealous. She tells him that she's merely moving on the way he wanted her to. Then she tells him that maybe he's not as into Liz as he thinks he is. At the same time, an employee at Metro Court explains to Cruse that they have a very secure vault, not merely a safe.
Lulu and Dillon meet up at Kelly's and he tells her that she was right about Alan. It does seem like he is the killer. Dillon doesn't understand how his uncle could let Laura go crazy over something she didn't do. Spinelli comes and greets his fellow crime busters. He says that Alan didn't do it. Apparently he found some time to work for Lulu today, too. After tracking Rick Webber's financial records, he saw that Rick was on the receiving end of a major payoff. Maybe he was blackmailing someone?
Robin, Pete and Patrick are in a stalemate when there's a knock at the door. It's Noah – bearing a housewarming gift. Patrick isn't thrilled to see him, and even less thrilled that Robin has told him about their new living arrangement. Noah tells his son that it looks as if he's made a step in the right direction, to which Pete snidely says, "I rest my case." Patrick tells Noah to stay out of his personal life. Noah says he can accept that, but he hopes that Patrick gives the same treatment to his good buddy Pete. Noah wishes he and Robin luck and leaves. As soon as he's gone, Patrick lays into her for involving his father in their lives. She doesn't want to discuss it in front of Pete. Patrick informs her that he and Pete are going to Las Vegas. They walk out the door without so much as a toothbrush. Robin doesn't hesitate for a second. She calls Lainey and tells her to get Kelly and prepare for a road trip.

Alan calls Monica home and explains that Dillon knows that she was having an affair with Rick Webber during the summer that he died. "So, the game's over," she says. Alan asked if there's any way Dillon can find what she did. "What I did?" Monica exclaims. She tells Alan that she's known all along that he killed Rick Webber. Alan says that he saw her go meet him the night he died. She explains that she went to the Scorpio attic, but to end the affair. Laura was already there, so she left. She told Alan that she thought he did it because she saw his car nearby. "Yea, because I was spying on you!", Alan explains. They each thought the other killed Rick! Monica laughingly tells her husband "You're no prize but you're all I got." Alan replies with, "I love you too darling." So, who killed Rick?

Sam comes home and finds Jason researching on the internet. She's paranoid that he's found out about Angela Monroe, but he's just looking into Alcazar's dealings. They talk about Alexis for a while, and she's worried that by offering her mother pot it may cost her Molly. She makes Jason promise that if they ever fall out of love, they won't hurt their children.
A nurse at Shady Brook is on the phone talking to someone about Laura's condition. iShe reports that Mr. Spencer was able to find a drug that helped for awhile, but now she's relapsed for good. She tells the person on the other end of the phone that she looks forward to finally meeting him/her.
