Alexis has to deal with chemo and a custody hearing at the same time, Sonny is committed to helping her, Sam tries for yet another job, and Lulu has her "man".
Lucky struggles to shake off his focus on the bottles of hydrocodone pills as Cruse offers to take care of the evidence for him. Lucky tells Cruse that he can handle it. He asserts that he is staying clean…today…and that Cruse shouldn't worry about his ability to carry out the drug bust.

Alexis is at the hospital listening to mellow music and finishing her last round of chemo. Epiphany tells her that she's knows firsthand how she must be feeling. The doctor walks in with a sour face and tells Alexis that her body can't take much more, but she does need another round of chemo. Epiphany encourages the doctor to take more tests before they make any decisions. They all agree to talk about it tomorrow.

Ric shows up at Sonny's office and before he can say anything, Sonny informs him that Carly is his wife now and that's why she didn't show up to testify against him in the Alcazar shooting. Ric doesn't bat an eye, he simply tells Sonny that Molly's custody hearing is just a few days away and he will be called to testify on his behalf. Sonny says that a child Molly's age needs her mother. He reminds Ric that when he almost won full custody of Kristina, he backed off because children need their mother. As the conversation grows heated, Diane walks in and tells Ric that Sonny won't be a useful witness. Ric threatens to use evidence about Sonny's business if he has to, and then informs Diane that she is a criminal, not a family attorney.
Dillon and Lulu have planted an envelope at the nurse's desk for Monica to see. Inside there is a note that reads, "I know what you're hiding…meet me in the attic." They are watching from around the corner to see what her reaction will be. Soon enough, Monica opens the envelope and panics when she reads it. She's off! Lulu and Dillon are excited that they have busted their killer.
At the nurse's desk, Epiphany is rattled after discussing cancer and chemo with Alexis, and asks Liz to watch things for a few minutes. Before she goes, she tells Liz that Audrey called and said that she can baby sit Cameron tomorrow night. Epiphany doesn't stop there; she gives her two cents worth. She warns Liz against giving Lucky false hope that they can get back together.

At home, Sam tells Jason that the longer she puts off taking the pregnancy test, the longer she gets to hope that they made a baby this month. But she begrudgingly goes upstairs to find out. In a few minutes, she's back down again, none too happy. She and Jason snuggle up and agree to keep trying. Before they can get into it, she tells him that she has a job interview. She's not looking forward to the "twenty questions" and background checks that come with job interviews, but is determined to find something on her own.
Robin and Patrick are at his place, pulling out paper plates and take-out food from a bag. They are still discussing "the couch". He tells her that if he's not careful, she will pick out china patterns next. Both are being careful to say all the right things, but we are able to hear their thoughts and it is pretty funny. Patrick agrees that the couch was great...a perfect fit...stylish, but comfortable. She thinks "Please don't tell me you're comparing me to a couch." Then he drops a bomb on her. He informs her that he wants to move back into the Metro Court. He's thinking, "Great. Now we have to have the relationship talk". He talks about the pressure he feels about fixing things up, getting things settled. "In other words, if you live in a hotel, no one can move in with you," Robin says.
Dillon and Lulu are waiting for Monica in the Scorpio attic. Lulu tells Dillon that she knows he's enjoying this whole investigation thing a little bit. After all, the story would make a good student film or screen play one day. He confesses that she's right, but he really does want to help her and her mother. Lulu is getting impatient. What if Monica thinks the note was from Edward or someone, she might go to the Q attic. Dillon compares the scenario to the films "Death on the Nile" and "Jagged Edge". Just then, Monica opens the door and when she sees them she says, "So it is you too." Dillon asked her what happened here four years ago? Just as Monica starts to proclaim that she wasn't there; Lulu cuts her off and tells her that she's a liar!

At the warehouse, Ric tells Sonny that he'll be charged with contempt if he fails to show up at the custody hearing. In fact, he says he should tell the judge to deny spousal privilege in the Alcazar shooting since it's obvious that Sonny and Carly only married to prevent him from going to prison. After Ric leaves, Sonny asks Diane to do what Alexis would do if she had the strength. "Back him into a corner so that he has to negotiate." When Diane asks if Alexis will compromise if she is able to pull of such a miracle. Sonny promises to handle Alexis.
Sam is in an office lobby filling out an application. A gentleman comes out to great her. She admits that she doesn't have much experience but she is a hard worker. He tells her that's the kind of employee they are looking for at The Metro Court! He tells her that she looks familiar and asks if she knows anyone who works there, she tells him no.
Diane runs into Ric at the hospital and taunts him a little. She says that if a judge were to look at a timeline; he'd see that Ric slept with his wife's daughter right about the time she was diagnosed with cancer. All it would take would be to get a judge with personal experience with cancer or chemo and Alexis would surely have his support.
Sonny goes to Alexis's house and finds her not feeling well. She's curled up on the couch using her purse for a pillow. He tells her about what Ric wants him to do. Alexis says that this will be fun… "What makes me more nauseous…the chemo or Ric?" Then she runs off to throw up. When she comes back from the bathroom Sonny tells her she should postpone the hearing. Alexis holds firm. She doesn't want to play into his hand.

Jason is at work and notices Liz having herbal tea in the lobby. (Apparently it's a little coffee/tea shop now that Carly redecorated it.) He joins her for a few minutes and picks up her tab. She thanks him for the tea, and for letting her vent whenever she needs to. She says she can always count on him. He tells her that's because they are always honest with each other. They talk about each of their relationships and wish each other well.
In the attic, Lulu tells Monica that they know she was seeing Rick. Monica sweetly tells Lulu how worried she has been about her since her mother's relapse, in fact, it's an unhealthy obsession. She admits that she did see Rick when he came back in town that last time, but it was an innocent meeting. She tells them that Rick was a complicated man and if they keep digging they will find things they don't want to see.
Patrick and Robin continue to talk about their situation. Robin says she didn't consciously try to make him feel like it was her place too. She says she understands if he feels a little squeezed. He tells her that he likes things between them; he's doesn't want to look for anything better. He wants to enjoy things the way they are. They agree that they are glad they had this conversation. She tells him before he moves back into the hotel, they should "say goodbye" to his apartment. Later on during a little pillow talk, Robin makes him a deal. If he keeps the apartment, she won't contribute to his décor. No potted plants, no throw pillows. She says her self control will be amazing. She says that if he does ever ask her to move it, she'll say no. He laughs and holds her close.

Sonny has returned to the warehouse. He's telling Jason about Alexis and the upcoming custody hearing. He says that Carly can be a big help, and tells Jason to bring her back to Port Charles. Jason says he won't do that.
At the Metro Court the guy that Sam interviewed goes to a computer to start his background check of Sam. Another guy in the office looks over his shoulder and recognizes the address. He tells his boss that Miss McCall lives in the Penthouse at Harbor view Towers. Isn't that the same place that the limousine is always taking Carly Corinthos to? They put 2 + 2 together and realize that Sam is Jason Morgan's girlfriend.
Lucky finds Liz at the hospital and asks if Audrey will sit Cameron tomorrow night so they can go out to dinner. When she tells him yes, he wants to make sure that she's not just agreeing to go out with him to keep him off of pills. She says that she's not. He tells her about the drug bust today and that he remained strong in the face of a stash of hydrocodone. He admits that if anything was going to put him over the edge, it would have been learning that Maxi faked her pregnancy. Liz tells him that she's proud of him and will see him tomorrow night. As he goes down the elevator alone, he pulls out a bottle of pills.
Ric is standing on the porch of Alexis' house looking through the front door window. She is sitting on the couch, smoking a joint.
NEXT ON GH:
Sam gets a job offer.
Ric orders a guy not to leave Alexis's house without a photo.
A gloved hand is holding a photo of Sonny and is being told, "You know what to do."
