Sonny's heart is breaking.

Thursday, December 14 2006
Carly’s might be too, we just can’t tell yet.

Ric is under Lorenzo’s thumb.

Dillon makes himself part of Lulu’s plan.

Spinelli asks Lulu who she knew that was murdered. Lulu explains that it was her mother’s stepfather, Rick Webber. She tells him that that her mother was accused of his death but she can’t defend herself now because of her psychomotor disassociation. Spinelli tells Lulu that he can crack the PCPD’s computer system, no problem. But he wants to know if she’s sure that her mother didn’t kill Rick?

Jason is sitting at Lucky’s desk with him at the PCPD when Detective Cruse comes in and tells Lucky that the flash drive suddenly vanished from the DA’s office. Cruse sits with Jason so that Lucky can go see the Commissioner and find out what’s going on. While he’s gone, Cruse tells Jason to leave Elizabeth alone;if Lucky ever learns about Jason’s one-nighter with his wife, it could put him back on the pills.

Alcazar goes to Ric and asks him if he’s looking for the flash drive. Ric wants him to hand it over so that they can get rid of it before they are both incriminated. Lorenzo tells Ric to be grateful that he knows where it is at least. If it ends up in the wrong hands, Ric will be brought up on charges of evidence tampering and false arrest. Lorenzo announces that he’s going to hold onto the flash drive for safe keeping. He adds that Ric’s entire career is in his hands now and that he’ll be in touch. “No doubt,” Ric cracks.

The “new” Colleen is looking at an apartment. She has short black hair and eyeglasses.

Emily wants to take Spencer to see Santa, but Nikolas says no. He says that he’s not eager to hand his baby over to a strange man in a red suit. Emily figures out that the Greek version of Santa is very different and that, since Nikolas’s childhood was so isolated, he might have problems giving his better memories. Nikolas tells her that he’d rather teach his son about the real meaning of Christmas instead of hanging out in a mall. Emily tells Nikolas that some of her favorite memories with her birth mother were visiting Santa, then having hot chocolate and cookies. Can’t they teach him both versions of Santa, the Greek and the American version?

Robin visits Patrick and finds him in his underwear, unable to get his pants on. She wants him to accept the fact that he needs a little help. She tells him that she’ll dress him, eventually. Then she pulls him down to the couch with her. Later, as she starts to find him something to wear, she asks him why he’s still living in a hotel anyway? Maybe he should stop living as if he’s going to skip town any minute.

Sonny pours Carly a glass of her favorite wine which happens to go with the lobster she loves. Carly reminds Sonny that they are not at the cabana on the island and their romantic meals won’t end up the way they used to. She keeps trying to steer the conversation to the reason he called her over – the children. Once again, she lists the reasons why she loves her life with Jax. Carly tells Sonny that she and Jax don’t try to destroy each other. Sonny tells her that they are both healthier now;he has his bipolar under control and things could be different. She is tearfully declaring that she will have a nice life with Jax. “The bottom line is you still want me. And I want you,” Sonny quietly tells her. Carly tells Sonny that she’s been remembering some of their times down on his island. She remembers the anger and the ups and downs. She tells Sonny that he doesn’t really want her; he just doesn’t want Jax to have her. Sonny tells her that Jax isn’t really what she wants. They both have tears rolling down their faces at this point.

Robin and Patrick are making out in the hospital elevator when the door opens. Epiphany sees them and tells them that she’s happier when they are fighting. She warns Patrick not to try to prove his brilliance with his hand in a cast. Noah steps in and tells them that he’s stepping in to handle Patrick’s surgeries for awhile.

At the PCPD, Lulu realizes that Jason is outside the interrogation room door. She and Spinelli go out to see what’s going on. Ric is telling Jason and his attorney that they are being forced to drop the charges because the evidence is missing. Before Mac sets Jason free, he gets all fired up and warns him that he is tired of seeing Jason get off on all of his charges. As Jason, Spinelli and Lulu leave, Lulu reminds Spinelli that she needs help on a case. He goes off on one of his tangents, saying “The jackal runs alone and free!” Jason holds him by the shirt and tells him that he will help Lulu. Lulu gives a sheepish grin.

Sonny asks Carly if she misses the passion. She tells Sonny that she has passion with Jax, just not the highs and lows that she had with him. She has grown up and doesn’t have to be in pain to know she’s in love. She and Jax don’t tear each other down enough to have the fiery reconciliations that she and Sonny used to have. She tells him that she doesn’t miss a man who can’t forgive her. Carly is really emotional and tries to leave but stops as she gets to the door. “Do you have something to say to me?” she asks. He pauses, but ultimately only murmurs: “You know I’m right.”

Spinelli and Lulu have gone to Kelly’s to start working on Laura’s case. Dillon runs into them and asks how the ski trip was. Spinelli blows that story out of the water, spewing that he and “the hot blonde” were kidnapped! Dillon goes nuts and then looks over Spinelli’s shoulder to realize that he has hacked into the PCPD computer. Dillon tells Lulu that she’ll go to jail and wants to know what they have gotten into. Lulu ignores him and asks Spinelli if there are any other suspects on file. Spinelli tells her no. Dillon realizes that Lulu’s not going to drop it, so he pulls up a chair and learns that she is trying to clear her mother’s name. He starts talking about movie plots and how, certainly somewhere out there, another person must have had a motive for wanting Rick Webber dead.

Patrick and Noah argue over the kind of surgery their patient will have. Noah told him that his opinion counted before he used his million-dollar hand to punch a bartender. After Noah strides off for surgery, Patrick tells Robin that this whole thing is her fault because he had to defend her honor. She just laughs and walks away. Monica finds Patrick sitting around and asks if he would consider giving lectures to interns while his hand is out of commission. He agrees. Then Robin finds him and says that since his injury is “partly her fault” (wink wink), she thought of a way to make it up to him. She’s going to help him find an apartment.

Carly meets Jax and tells him that Sonny wants her to come back to him. Jax isn’t surprised, he anticipated as much. Carly is glad that it happened because it made it even clearer to her how happy she is with Jax. Just then, the waiter brings a message over for Jax. It’s from Jerry. Carly guesses correctly -- he’s bailing on the wedding. Jax says it doesn’t matter; all that matters is them.

Jason visits Sonny, who is still sitting at the table he had prepared for a romantic evening with Carly. Jason explains that he and Spinelli are free, but they still need to clear Sam. Sonny warns Jason that Ric is even more dangerous now because he’s been exposed as corrupt. Sonny is in a reflective mood and changes the subject to Carly. He asks Jason if he could’ve forgiven the love of his life if she kept the fact that he had a child from him. Jason says he guesses it would depend on her reasons. He would be angry, but hopes he could get past it. Sonny tells Jason that Mike told him earlier that he should’ve never divorced Carly. Then, he admits that he’s starting to agree.

Emily, Nikolas and Spencer are back from the Santa mall visit. “Never again,” Nikolas proclaims. He says his son can write letters to Santa, but that’s it. Emily laughs and says that he needs to have a little magic in his life, even if it is all wrapped up in American crass commercialism. They dig into the hot chocolate and cookies that Alfred has prepared for them. She tells Nikolas that honoring each other’s traditions is the whole idea. Then Nikolas expresses concerns about Spencer playing Baby Jesus in the play. He’s worried that something might happen to him. Emily laughs and says that they’ll all be there, it’ll be fine.

At the new apartment Colleen hands over her deposit and says that her son will love it there.

Lorenzo meets Skye at the Metro Court and she tells him that it’s all over the news that the charges have been dropped against Jason. She wants to know if Lorenzo is happy with the way things turned out. “Aside from a couple deaths, things couldn’t have gone better,” he says. Then he reminds Skye that revenge is best served cold. After everything calms down, he’ll avenge Diego’s death.

Lucky goes to Ric to pick up his next assignment. Ric says that Jason has stolen the flash drive that incriminates Sam. Lucky is to find and destroy it. Lucky tells him that he doesn’t think that’s a good idea. Ric asks him if he isn’t accepting his assignment. He says that everyone’s expecting him to backslide, “but not me I trust you Lucky.” Lucky reminds Ric that he has issues with going after Jason; he told him that from the start. Ric tells him to do his job regardless of how his wife feels about it.

Sonny tells Jason that he had the perfect chance to tell Carly that he loves and forgives her--but he blew it. He asks Jason if he thinks she and Jax can be happy. Jason says that they seem to love each other. He thinks that Carly is trying to be a better person by being with Jax. Sonny says that he wishes he could be happy for her, but he can’t. He tells Jason that he can’t stick around to watch Carly marry Jax. He makes up his mind that he’s going to the island and will come back after the first of the year. As he goes up the stairs he says to his best friend, “Sometimes you give something up and you count on getting it back. Then you realize that you can’t. You’d better hold on to what you’ve got.” After he’s gone upstairs, Jason makes a phone call.

NEXT ON GH:
Dillon thinks it’ll be hard to prove Laura’s innocence without Luke. Spinelli disagrees.

Carly wants to go after Sonny. Jax says no.

Sam tells Jason, “It’s good to be home.”

Anyone but me thinks the bad batch condom story is over a bit too soon? Even if the defective batch was less than 1% confined to the upper NY area, that was a bit too easy. The Quartermaines got lucky (bad pun).

Hey you guys, everyone's been talking about spoilers lately, so I was wondering if anyone knew about Ric's future? Is that bastard going to get busted for all of this or what?

Cause I heard he turns his life around and supposedly becomes all nice. I don't give a damn how nice he becomes, he needs to pay for what he put Jason and Sam through!

Anyone who has heard anything please let me know!
