I love Jonathan Jackson & I'm thrilled that he's coming back but what a raw deal for Greg Vaughn. He gave GH 6 great years and I think this could have been handled better.

I think the news that JJ is coming back is absolutely fantastic! I hope totally overhauls the character. I'm sorry but GV, to me, made Lucky a total cheeseball. People loose jobs everyday. It's a sad thing but he worked before GH and I'm sure he'll be fine. IMO, that's now water under the bridge. I'm just really, really glad that Lucky's back!!

Is it sad that Greg lost his gig this way? YES. But did he ever fit as Lucky? NO. I started watching GH around 93' so I am bias. Lucky is a big role to fill. The chemistry between Liz and Lucky was never recaptured with Greg. The relationship between Luke and Lucky was completely destroyed. I'm sorry Greg fans but he was never Lucky and this is the best way for GH to get their ratings back up. They are obviously shaking things up.

UHH HeLLO It's been 10 years. JJ was Lucky for 6 years so GV now has 6 years and what he's out cuz JJ wants his role back. I agree he was fine as the kid but bringing him back after all this time, he's still going to be that kid in alot of viewer's eyes because this Lucky didn't grow up with his character if that makes sense. Michael, Kristina, Molly and Morgan all advanced in age but look Lucky went back to a teenage kid! WHATEVER GH! Who's idea was this anyway? Guess it could've been worse like Emily/Rebecca and Carly/Claudia at least he's the same character and not Lucky/Relecca/Luddia.lol.
Good luck to GV, I agree his storyline was sucky anyway didn't know if we would see Lucky another way, this way the kid image still fits still following Elizabeth around like a puppy dog. Loved it when he branched out and showed his manhood and sexy self with Maxie and Sam although have always been the biggest fan of JASAM and do love Maxie and Spanelli(spelling?). Waited 4ever on my JASAM!

While the news surprised me, I for one am excited that JJ is coming back!! I like GV, but JJ has always been Lucky to me. He is a great actor and can't wait to see how he will play the role. If anyone remembers, this isn't the first time GH has done the ol' switch-a-roo. When Tyler Christopher left his role as Nicholas, he was replaced by another actor, then a few years later they gave TC his role back.

And as far as the Carly/Claudia thing...they did that too with the whole cousin Bill/Luke thing. When Sarah Brown came back I though I would not be able to see her as anyone but Carly. However, I can say that I don't see Carly at all in her. She IS Claudia.

I grew up watching JJ as Lucky, so I am thrilled to have him back. I do think it's super wrong what the are doing to GV though. Maybe he will come back as another character? Honestly, I never got used to him playing Lucky. JJ has always been Lucky to me. I hate the mess of a story line he is coming into though. I believed Liz would cheat on Lucky when GV was playing him, but not JJ. They- JJ and RH, have/had way too much chemistry. I never liked the direction of Liz falling for Nicholas. I think it's stupid. I hate what they have done to the Liz character. She is always pining for guys she can't have, or shouldn't be with. She can't be with Jason, so now she wants to be with Nicholas. Give me a break! I really hope they repair her character too.

I think if GV wants to leave for other things....then I think that JJ coming back is great! But, if it's for any other reason then I think it's unfair and because of all these unfair moves I'm reconsidering watching day time soaps!!

I find GH to make some rather surprising decisions in casting, recasting and comebacks. They killed off Emily and then bring Natalia back as her twin sister Rebecca. Cheap device overly abused on daytime. I thought it was interesting that after Sara Brown left as Carly there were several actressed that took over the role and even though most made it their own after they left Sara Brown never came back to play the character. In fact, Sara Brown came back to play totally opposite the character she created and did an amazing job. She made you forget her own take on Carly by playing Claudia. What does that say to you? They have changed Carly's character over the years and they obviously respected Laura Wright's take on the role enough to keep her. I think Greg Vaughn has been playing Lucky for much longer than Laura Wright has been playing Carly. They didn't switch Carlys when they decided to bring SB back. Why are they switching Luckys? GV has played the role the way it has been written for him. Let's face it......JJ would not be going after Elizabeth. His character had a lot of his father in him. GV's Lucky was written with more of his mother's characteristics. Do you really see JJ's Lucky growing up to be a cop? GH never wrote good stories for GV's Lucky. They abused the character. Elizabeth has been glorified after Lucky became addicted to drugs and cheated on her with Maxie. Now Elizabeth sleeps with guy after guy and Lucky sits back still loving her and clueless. Seriously, how could Elizabeth sleep with Nicholas? Her love of her best friend's life and Lucky's brother. Her kid's uncle? Excuse me. I would have loved to see GV's reaction to this before they switched to JJ. It would have given JJ that in to going back to being the Lucky he played and not the one that TPTB created over the years he was absent from GH. I think JJ was a great Lucky and I cheered for him when I saw him in movies after he left GH. He's an awesome actor and he will be great when he returns to GH. However, the whole situation surrounding his return and the dismissal of someone like GV to make room for his unexpected return is going to turn off a lot of viewers for a while. Should we even invest in watching? I was pretty disappointed when Natalia left the show and they decided to kill her off. I would have put her in a coma and let her live off the canvas for a while or forever. Instead they bring her back and the chemistry is NOT there anymore for her and Tyler. She's Natalia but she's not Emily. The viewer invests in the character and not just the actor.
