General Hospital Weekly Blog!

It's about time! (Soaps.com)
GH Rundown For the Week of June 29!

I don’t have any major rants or raves about last week’s GH, so I decided I would do my blog a little differently this time. Instead of going on at length about a couple of topics, I’m just going to list, in no particular order, what I enjoyed and what I questioned about last week.

1. I love that Carly is more concerned about protecting Michael than making sure she stays on his good side.

2. Ethan was totally creepy standing in the shadows of Wyndemere while Nikolas and Rebecca watched a scary movie. Is he going to start stalking her now?

3. Nice bonding moment between Jason and Monica. He finally apologized for pushing her away after his accident. Long overdue!

4. Karaoke Night at Jake’s means more Coleman! Yay!

5. Karaoke Night at Jake’s also means some fun, and hopefully funny, scenes involving many characters who wouldn’t normally cross paths.

6. Diane bringing Alexis a bottle of wine after her affair with the mayor was outted was nicely done. I love any scenes between the women and you knew Diane would be there for her, just like a real friend would be. Too bad Alexis got rid of her medicinal marijuana though.

7. Claudia’s secret just needs to come out!

Friends in need. (Soaps.com)
8. To borrow a line from Carly – On what planet does Edward think Michael, who just came out of a year long coma, should be driving a sports car with his younger brother in the passenger seat? Whether he has his license or not.

9. Cute scene with Olivia and Johnny where she admitted her family wouldn’t understand her seeing a younger man. Can’t say this enough – I love them!

10. Why was Toussaint brought on? He doesn’t really serve much purpose.

11. Dominic is trying awfully hard to get into Sonny’s organization. Is he really a mobster, or, like so many posters are speculating, a fed?

12. From her brief scene, NuMolly seems like another good casting choice for the younger set. However, I would have loved to see her interact with Ric before he left town.

13. I’m not entirely sure how Rebecca and Ethan are supposed to be getting money out of the Qs. Do they think they are just going to write her a big fat check because she looks like Emily? It seems like a very convoluted and lengthy plan to me.

14. I wish Matt were more involved in helping figure out who killed Brianna. I thought this story would give him more to do, but alas that is not the case.

15. I hope Spinelli’s courtly love does in deed lead to a real romance for him and Maxie. He is in need of some good lovin'.

16. Robin now thinks Andrea killed the mayor’s mistress. Could be interesting, but I was more intrigued by how and why she was in cahoots with Ric.

Even though nothing over or under whelmed me this week, it was still pretty enjoyable. What did you think? Did I miss any major moments you felt were worthy of a mention? Feel free to share your thoughts below!

I loved the scenes with Jason and the Quartermaines and look forward to Michael living with them. He looked so stunned when he first got there. Nice to see a quiet teenager for a change.

Like the new Molly. I agree that it was a shame we couldn't see Ric say goodbye to his daughter.

I would like to see Claudia go and take Sonny with her. A once promising character has become another notch on Sonny's bedpost. I wouldn't mind seeing Rebecca go. The scene with her and Ethan just was dull to me.

I do like Matt and wish that he, Patrick and Robin would join up to solve the case. Seriously though, how many suspects can there be besides the mayor and his wife. If they are going to have Billy Dee on the show, then use him. I wouldn't mind seeing him take over the Police Commissioner job. Mac could partner with Coleman and rename the place Jakes Outback.

The whole Rebecca-Ethan-Nik thing bores me to tears. It's one long train wreck of a story, and I can't think of a single redeeming moment in the thing except the look on Liz's face when Nik shushed her so he could watch the rest of the scene in of The Blob that Ate Band Camp. I'm bored with Sonny and Claudia, too. Don't care anymore. Sonny just needs to go away already.

Oh, I am hoping Toussaint will have a purpose. I really liked this character on Night Shift. (And I appreciate that he is NOT a blonde-haired, blue-eyed teenager.)

The whole musical living arrangement thing with Michael seemed silly to me, but I'm happy that he's with the Q's -- not because I think they can handle him or that he's better off with them, but because it means more screen time for Monica, Edward, and Tracey! We've seen more of Edward and Monica in the last week than we've seen in the past year. Yay! I also love that Jason and Monica had that long (for them) talk, and that both of them and Carly are at least trying to get along.

Speaking of Carly, I've actually liked her lately. I'm sure it's temporary and like a bad fever will pass, but for now, I actually enjoy her scenes.

It's been too long...Claudia's secret needs to come out like YESTERDAY!!! I hope Sonny leaves her with squat after what she's done to his family.

My favorite moment was when Olivia said her family would be saying rosaries that she did not get back with Sonny, and Johnny replied that they would be saying the stations of the cross if she showed up in Bensonhurst with him. I just about fell off my chair laughing. They would be saying the stations of the cross on bended knees over broken glass if she showed up with Johnny. I love the humour.

How did the mayors wife contrive e-mails that appear to have been sent from Alexis's computer. How did she learn to break and enter?
The reveal that Dominic was in fact Dante and the interaction with Olivia. I just cant wait to see what happens when he finds out she is sleeping with Johnny let alone that sonny is his father.
Finally the scenes between Maxi and Matt and Liz and Nic as chemistry tests. I really think that Spixie should be a younger Carly and Jason. Really think Jason should explain how he onced loved Carly but it is their friendship that will likely keep them in eachothers lives forever.
