Disappointment sets in. (Soaps.com)
General Hosptial Rundown for June 1 - 5!

As I stated last week, I don’t have a problem with Luke being Ethan’s father even though that means he cheated on Laura. What I do have a problem with, is how they are trying to make us have sympathy for Luke. Even though Lucky has done some of the same things as Luke, of course he’s disappointed in his father, but Holly told him he should be grateful Luke came back to him and Laura. Really? Luke was married with a son, of course he should have returned home. He shouldn’t have run off in the first place. Then Luke gets mad at Tracy after everything he’s done to her in their marriage? Shouldn’t he really be mad at Holly for keeping his son from him for 20 some years? And shouldn't Tracy be kicking Luke to the curb? It’s really just a convoluted mess. Instead of playing games, Holly should have just told them the truth and Luke should have had a heart to heart with Lucky and Lulu about it. Lucky and Luke could have shared their similar pasts of philandering and maybe Lucky could have begun to understand and accept his father’s faults. It could have been a good character story about father and sons, but instead we got a story about con artists.

Now on to the mob. They are making Sonny look so stupid right now they way he is holding out for evidence against Claudia on Michael’s shooting. Shouldn’t he be trying to figure it out and in mean time not give her the benefit of the doubt? That’s the Sonny I know. Jason should give Sonny the tape and be done with it. Sonny isn’t going to kill his own baby, but if Sonny let Claudia know that he knew she ordered the hit that accidentally shot Michael, we could then see Claudia sweating it out until her baby does come and when she would fully feel Sonny’s wrath. And just why does Spinelli care what happens to Claudia? I didn’t really get why he defended her to Jason.

Fun and flirty! (Soaps.com)
Speaking of Michael, I really think Drew Garrett is doing a great job. Many young actors come on and the audience has to watch them find their legs, but Drew really hit the ground running and then sealed it for me when he cried a little after yelling at Robin. Crying doesn’t come easily to everyone, but Drew got through that scene flawlessly. A sign of a believable actor I think.

Here’s my only complaint: Michael was practically dying when he dragged himself out of the hospital, but was fine when he got to Kristina’s. You would think he would have been worse! While I’m on the subject, were Michael and Kristina really that close before? I recall them being thrown together every once in awhile, but since Alexis didn’t want Kristina to be apart of Sonny’s world, their bond sort of came out of left field for me.

I am loving the dynamic between Agent Raynor and Alexis! His arrogant, flirtatious demeanor is great fun and Alexis’ reactions are hilarious. I definitely want to see more of them!

Wow! I was really surprised that Ethan and Rebecca are scheming together. It’s rare to actually be shocked on soaps these days with all the spoilers out there and I loved it. Their connection is truly the most interesting element in the whole story. I hope the explanation of their association is just as compelling.

That’s all I got for this week. What did you think? Feel free to share your thoughts about the week’s events below!

because when Sonny was picking on him it was Claudia who came to help him and tell Sonny to stop picking on him. and there has been some other times where Claudia has help him out.

Very well said Lori. I agree with you the scene with Michael and Kristina was poor in that he felt so fine all of a sudden. Further the fact that Kristina changed into the seductive wear to play on Jason, did she change in front of her brother- weird.

Thanks for the comments!

alannahvennen, I see what you're saying, but Spinelli knows Claudia is responsible, so why was he still defending her? And since he knows how much Jason hates her, I just thought it was odd.

BiRanger, I didn't think about how Kristina changed clothes. Too funny.

I just would like to add that not only did Luke cheat on Laura but Holly cheated on Robert which means that two legendary couples were trashed for this Ethan storyline. Did you notice that the only word Holly could come up with to describe Luke as a father was unique? Frankly if the choice were between having Luke or Robert as a father, Robert would be the winner.

It's isn't surprising that Sonny is being so stupid. I don't think there has been a functioning brain cell for quite some time. I think it is contagious as well. Jason seems to be dumber as well until he gets a head injury. For some reason, his intellect gets a boost. Unfortunately not enough, to dump Sonny and get his own life.

I do like the new Michael and Kristina. She seems to be a younger intellectual version of Maxie. I wonder if that means Molly will be the sweet younger sister always looking out for her. I just liked the way Kristina seemed to unnerve Jason. There seemed to be a faint crack in that Stone Cold exterior.

I like Agent Rayner and Alexis. She needs a good guy because she just can't handle the bad guys. Leave Jerry available for a woman who can appreciate his devious charms.

I am so bored with the whole Ethan thing, whether it be with Luke or Rebecca - not shock with Rebecca, not when they ran into each other on the docks and she said his name before she even "knew" who he was...
Use the Lucky character to make things more adventurous with Luke, heck they make him into such a wimp...but with having Luke & Laura as parents there would have been no way that would've happened. Cop or not.

SOnny is hot, but his character is not. He is such a fickle mob boss. A mob boss wouldn't need proof, he would just get business done. Therefore, Ric would have been gone a long time ago and Claudia behind him...if you are gonna have the mob on a soap, make it more true to character, let him be an a-hole all the time, except with his kids.

As for Raynor & Alexis, great. Love it. Alexis doesn't get enough storylines....so many good characters already on the show don't get enough camera time. TPTB just keep bringing on more and more instead of using the talent they already have. What a shame.

Whoa, back up a minute admin! when did Spinelli find out that Claudia was responsible for Michael being shot? So far:
Johnny knows because Claudia confessed to him.
Nicholas knows because Claudia also confessed to him
Jerry knows as he planted the DVDs.
Jax knows, as he has seen the DVD.
Kate knows as she has also watched the DVD and asked Olivia to find the DVD in the hospital fire.
Olivia knows because of Kate and because Jax told her, but she has not actually seen the DVD.
Rick knows because he saw a DVD which was later stolen.

As far as I know, Spinelli does NOT know. He stuck upp for Claudia as she has always been kind to him, almost like a stray puppy which was being bullied and she rescued.

Sorry I posted before I finished.

Jason suspects because of Rick Lansing's allegations.
Sonny sort of suspects because of Rick Lansing's allegations but is not sure.
I don't think Sam knows, nor Alexis.

If you know something I don't please share it.

I dislike the whole SORASing thing, but since they shoved it down our throats, I have to admit that the young actors for Michael and Kristina are quite good. The young lad playing Morgan is doing well, too. Nice to see Morgan is not the mute that he used to be. (Seriously, did that kid say more than six words the entire time they had him on the show?)

ITA about Luke. It's time to drop the belief that because Tony Geary "saved" GH back in the day that a) he can do so again, and b) that Luke is some kind of demi-god for whom anyone and everyone can be thrown under the bus to protect. Lucky has been written so over the top with misguided animosity and anger that I'm surprised Greg Vaughn doesn't throw up in his mouth a little when he reads his scripts (GV is a fine actor and deserves better than this schtick). Am I the only one who thinks it's time the Lords of Karma paid Luke a long-overdue visit? I don't think so.

Hate the whole Rebecca story. Yawnfest 2009. All it's done is make Nik look like a fool.

They seem to have toned down the Agent Raynor as Bada__ agent and made him funnier and more human. I like the rework and am enjoying watching him make Alexis squirm a little.
