I love, love, love Olivia and Johnny! I know many people have issues with the age difference and sometimes it can be gross and creepy, but not in this case. Olivia may be old enough to be his mother, but she is one hot lady and Johnny should consider himself lucky she’s giving him the time of day. It was nice to see both of them having fun and laughing for a change instead of Johnny brooding and Olivia worrying about other people’s problems. Besides, the reaction it’s getting from their fellow Port Charles denizens is priceless. How great was Sonny’s expression when Johnny walked out in a towel at Olivia’s place? Not many people can make Mr. Sir react that way and I enjoyed every second of it. And then later, Olivia totally let Sonny have it, reminding him that he has slept with girls that are much younger than he is as well. Hypocrite! Mike also called him out on being jealous and it was dead on. I am all for this storyline and hope Johnny and Olivia continue to be in each other’s orbits for some time to come.
That said, I found Maxie’s reaction to learning about Johnny and Olivia a little bit annoying. She ran over to him acting like the betrayed girlfriend or something. “I thought you liked me,” she pouted. Hey Maxie, I thought you liked Spinelli! I really enjoy her character, but the writers need to make up their minds about her and Spinelli. Either put them together or give Spinelli a new love interest to obsess over and actually have a relationship with. As much as I like Johnny and Olivia, I wouldn’t mind a Johnny and Maxie pairing, as long as it’s not at the expense of Spinelli.
I also wish we could have seen more of Kate teasing Olivia about sleeping with Johnny. It was a cute, fun scene and it would have been nice to see the cousins dishing about it more.
Moving on to the big dramatic story of the week, not telling Michael he was shot and in a coma for a year only made matters worse. When Sonny finally told him, he accepted it and they moved on. Before they told him, Michael was upset and stressed out, which I think was worse for his condition than hearing the actual truth. It was very frustrating to watch.

It’s interesting that Lulu has taken such an interest in Michael. It would be nice if they developed a relationship, much like Carly and Lulu’s where Michael can come to her for advice.
So far I’m liking Drew Garrett who plays the SORASed Michael. He seems to be holding his own against heavy weights Laura Wright and Maurice Bernard and I’m buying that he is their son. I know a lot of people wanted to see Dylan Cash grow up and be the adult Michael since we’ve already invested so much time in him, but aging the character is so much more interesting and will provide a lot more storyline. I’ve always been curious to see how Sonny’s children will handle being the mob boss’s kids as teenagers and eventually adults and now that Kristina and Morgan are being aged as well, all I can say is, let the games begin!
Holly’s return still hasn’t exactly captivated me, but I did enjoy when Luke and Ethan came to Patrick’s house to talk to her. After hearing their ridiculous story and explanation of what was going on, Patrick’s reaction was hilarious. “Congratulations! It’s a boy. You’re all crazy!” Loved it.
My biggest problem with Nikolas and Rebecca is fairly obvious - she looks just like the love of his life Emily and there is no way he would be able to emotionally handle this. Everything she said and did would remind him of Em and based on his reaction to her death and his ensuing visions of her, he would probably curl up into a little ball and have a massive break down. Furthermore, not that I like Alexis butting into his life so much, but she has a valid point: Helena has done some crazy stuff to him in order to control him, why wouldn’t she send an Emily look-a-like to take him down? It wouldn’t be the worse thing his grandmother has done. You should learn from the past Prince Nikolas.
Alright, that’s all I got this week. I’ll be back next Monday with more thoughts on GH. Until then, please feel free to agree or disagree with me below or touch on something I left out.
