(Week of March 23 - 27)
Credit must be given to the very talented Rick Hearst this week. I've always pretty much liked Ric Lansing, warts and all. But suddenly he's exactly like his slime-ball father and there's nothing in the least to like at the moment. Remember just about a year ago when he washed his hands completely of all things crooked and went to Martha's Vineyard to collect himself? He fell in love with Marianna and actually had a new lease on life until Skye gave him her waterfront property and he couldn't resist using it to one-up Sonny. So much for a fresh start, it lasted about a week I think. Now he's trying to weasel his way to the top of the heap and even forcing himself on a woman that I thought he actually cared about. When he sneered at Jason and belittled him by trying to explain humanity to him, I actually hated him. I am glad that Sonny can see right through him and promised Jason that he's not fooled for one minute. This ought to be good, if somewhat uncomfortable.
The "McCall and Jackal PI Agency." Really? I'm not so sure that I care to see what kind of messes will come of that particular collaboration, especially if Winifred is involved. But, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and see where it takes us. I do like Sam's almost maternal concern for Spinelli, though. But they've got to lose Winifred.
I can't help it, every time someone is at Michael's bedside I find myself looking for clues to see if they're elongating his little 12 year-old arm to that of a young adult yet. I mean, who doesn't know that he will wake up soon as a man?

I must confess that the mammogram storyline has started to make me care for Rebecca. Care and compassion are almost the same thing, right? I liked her vulnerability when she squeezed Nik's hand and asked him to sit with her. I can't help but wonder what it's like for Tyler and Natalia to be working together again. Natalia's rep has promised me an interview, so I'll let you know as soon as I hear from her. In any case, finally, Rebecca is growing on me.
My favorite line this week wasn't chosen because I actually liked it, rather because it made chills go down my spine. "Take you clothes off real slow, like you like me," Ric demanded as he swilled his bourbon in the exact same manner than Trevor used to. Did you happen to catch how quickly Claudia rolled out from under him when he was 'done'? Yuk.
So there you have it guys, everything that meant anything to me last week. You?
