Soaps.com has just learned that the visit from NASCAR driver Jeff Burton will be in mid-March.

Dr. Patrick Drake (played by Canadian racecar enthusiast Jason Thompson) fans already know all too well that the hot doc likes his cars. On Thursday February 19 the neurosurgeon will get a visit from real-life NASCAR driver Jeff Burton on General Hospital. Word is that Burton and Dr. Drake will talk about racing on camera. Burton admits he's not exactly an actor although he has appeared in commercials, so he's relieved to be talking about what he knows.
This is a case of art imitating life for Jason Thompson because he has the need for speed as well. In fact, he is slated to visit the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana California this Sunday (February 22) for the Auto Club 500. He will be shadowing Jeff Burton and get a few laps in his pace car before the race. Afterwards, both Thompson and Burton will come together at the Caterpillar hospitality tent to greet their respective fans, field questions and sign autographs.
If only Soaps.com could be a fly on the dashboard…
