Genie's character in "The Note" (Hallmark Channel)
Remember last December when General Hospital fans had to turn to The Hallmark Channel to get their 'Laura' fix after she slipped back into catatonia? Genie Francis played the lead in the network's highest-rated original movie premiere, "The Note" and is about to play the same character in the sequel.

It's called "The Note II: Taking a Chance on Love" and the premiere date has just been released. Reserve Saturday, January 31 at 9:00 PM (EST) for your next Laura/Genie fix GH fans. Genie's leading man will once again be played by Ted McGinley. Her character will delve into the concept of lost love and consider the risks of letting herself fall in love again. (Sound familiar? Laura could well be pondering the same thing while off in Paris getting therapy!)

Congratulations to Genie on her new role from Soaps.com. We'll be watching! For those of you who didn't catch "The Note" the first time around, it's available on DVD now. Or, perhaps readers can give their two-cents worth below!

I loved the show. "The Note" and it will be really neat to see the sequel. Genie Francis and Ted McGinley made a great pair. Hooray for Hallmark.

Hi Genie................Can't wait for the Note II, however, I'll have to wait. Looking forward to seeing you on the Hallmark Channel on January 31.

Hoping you will also return to GH with Scotty at your side.

I am again looking forward to seeing Genie in "The Note II." In the first "Note" Genie looked terrific! And her acting was glowing also--still the quiet, glowing vunerability I associate with the character of Laura.
And I am glad that Ted McGinley is again playing opposite Genie--he and she seem so comfortable working together. Recently on "Dancing with the Stars" he came off as really a nice person--too bad they voted him off so early. So often the nice guys (and gals) do not finish first. (Ditto for Genie!)
The fact that the first "Note" drew the highest rating does not surprise me at all--just more testimony to how devoted Genie's fans remain--and again the great puzzlement remains: when all the soaps are in the dumper, why do TPTB at GH continue to snub Genie, arrogantly refusing to give her a contract when she could literally save the show? Just view the shoot-up in ratings when Genie is on the show. Validation enough one would think. But, no. Apparently TPTB would rather risk the death of the show than to bring Genie back. A puzzlement, indeed! Genie, we will continue to watch you anywhere, anytime! You exude genuineness, quiet authority, and stellar acting skills. All best to you.

I will be watching the Note on Jan. 31 to see Genie. I wish she would come back to G.H. they need her. Not for Luke but for herself and her children and grandkids. She is missing a lot. Let Scotty have his Laura. Luke can keep Tracy they are good together.

I wish Laura would come back to GH.Will she be back for Christmas so she can be with her family.I dont care if shes not with Luke .As long as shes on GH.I liked her in the movie the Note.too.

I love Genie Francis--I will be watching!! I only wish she would return to General Hospital and rock their world. She is so beautiful and talented. Too bad GH doesn't realize what they are missing.!
