Performace(s) of the week: Olivia Falconeri!
Julie's General Blogspittle
(Week of September 29 - October 3).

Sonny wants back in? Are you kidding me? Of all the things that Sonny is, I've never thought he was a quitter. How long, exactly, did he give 'the clean life'? It felt like ten minutes, tops. Has he even thought through what his lovely near-bride will have to say when she wakes up and finds that the man she promised to marry because he quit the mob is back in the mob? Didn't think so. If she had died, I could see why he'd want to go back to business, but has he given up the dream of sharing his life with her? I just can't see her saying, 'You're so right darling, go back to breaking kneecaps because my couture wedding gown was ruined!'.

I am happy that the big secret is on its way out. Not surprised, mind you, just glad to let it play out finally. I find myself wondering what Dante will be like. I mean, I know he'll be dark and brooding and adorable, likely with a sweet set of dimples, too. But, will he be angry because he never knew he had a father? Will he run into Sonny's arms and join the business? For Sonny's part, remember how angry he was at Alexis when he learned that he missed the first couple of years of Kristina's life? Imagine his fury now! Or, will he be so glad to hear that he will have a son in his life after losing Michael and Morgan that he will be able to put his anger aside? Never mind, I think I just answered my own question. Look out Falconeri girls, you've not been on the receiving end of Sonny's rage yet.

Olivia is a force to be reckoned with in my opinion. (As is Lisa LoCicero, as an actress.) I found myself caring more about her this week than I did Kate. And I'm one of the few Kate fans on our GH Message Board! She's a little rough around the edges, but she has a big heart, a sense of fairness and is very approachable. I loved how she wore her Nonni's necklace no matter what it looked like. And for days! (Hey guys, I've got the ethnic background of a scroungy mutt, so if anyone can give me the correct spelling of 'Nonni', I'd really appreciate it! We merely said 'Grandma' in my neck of the woods.) After watching the scene in which Mac questions her about the shooting, I found myself doing something I've not done in at least ten years: wanting to give Mac a woman. Namely, Olivia! What do you guys think about that? (I made this week's poll about this very subject. Weigh in, will you?

I'm a bit surprised that Ric is staying quiet about the fact that Anthony was Kate's shooter. Uncomfortably shocked, in fact. (Similar to how I feel about the fact that Alexis has feelings for the same guy who shot Robin during The Metro Court crisis.) Is he so hot for Claudia that he'll do anything to hang around the Zacchara mansion? (On a side note, does anyone else seem bothered by the fact that the Zacchara mansion used to be just on the outskirts of Manhattan, but now it's close enough to Port Charles that people pop in an out as often as they do at Kelly's?) Don't get me wrong, I'm bewitched by Ric and Claudia's chemistry, but has he lost all sense of humanity in his quest to get lucky with a bad girl?

Speaking of losing all sense of humanity, I'm loving bad-boy Johnny! When he taunted Scott with gory details of Logan's demise, the tension was palpable. Let's let Laura come back to help Lulu, and keep Johnny on his delicious downward spiral, that's my vote!

As for Patrick's response to Robin's marriage proposal, I was close to applauding. (If I hadn't been typing my daily recap, I think I would have clapped as if I were at my eleven year-old son's weekly football game, in fact!) Take that, messed-up Scorpio chick! I don't doubt that they'll find themselves at the altar at some point, but Robin deserved being shut down.

Jason said 'oxymoron'!
My favorite line of the week? When Jason was talking to Carly about the fact that she needed to live at The Metro Court for a while because his goons are likely not enough. "Mob security is an oxymoron," he said. Seriously, Jason used my favorite literary tool! I could almost feel my readers wondering, "I wonder if Julie enjoyed that!" Friends, I'm hear to tell you that I did!

So there you have it guys, everything that meant anything to me last week. You?

It surprised me too that Ric is quiet about Anthony being the shooter. But as you say he looks uncomfortable, so he may do something yet.

Sonny has become a total idiot. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. I thought as he was telling Kate in ICU about how he was going to get his power back, etc that Kate believed in him and would not want any kind of revenge.

I do like Olivia. She grew up with Sonny and she pointed out that when he screwed up, he used to own it. I can't blame her for keeping her son a secret from Sonny. Frankly considering what has happened with Michael, can Sonny really blame Olivia and Kate from keeping the secret. After all, he was getting more involved in the mob and he wasn't a major player back then.

As for Ric, I do hope that he and Claudia will team up together and bring Anthony down. If Anthony thought Ric was going to reveal that he was the shooter, he wouldn't hesitate to kill him. Unfortunately Sonny, who can't see beyond his own selfish whims, is playing right into Anthony's hands.

WHY didn't they make Johnny Z Sonny's son? I have waited for that since the first day I laid eyes on him. He could not be more perfect to be S's son---in looks and mannerisms. And what a storyline it could have been---what a waste of writers to let this go. And I also read the writers didn't want to age Michael yet because they didn't want Sonny to appear to be old enough to have a grown son and now he will have a 'new' one? I do not like Olivia at all so far. But then I also don't like Sonny.

When is Luke returning?? Laura looks fantastic and the previews show she is alert and finally out of that stupid coma. Let's get back to the romance with Jason and Elizabeth, Luke and Laura and some sexy scenes. General Hospital used to be the number one soap in the world. The writers have somehow gotten lost. The fall preview gives me hope of good things to come.

LOVE Olivia!!! She is more the kind of woman that makes Sonny exciting to watch. Kate is too blah and boring to be against Sonny. Sonny is at his best when in conflict with a woman, not just saying "yes dear" and giving goo goo eyes (I don't like Sonny on his own, only going back and forth with his tough women: Carly and Brenda namely). I loved her with EVERYONE she was in the scene with and I too thought "I could see her and Mac" there was a look that passed between the two of them that was unmistakable. Yes, give Mac a good storyline and keep Olivia around...she makes the show exciting (kind of a Brenda replacement).

As for Scrubs, does it really matter? They'll get married and fight about everything. Why does EVERYTHING about them have to be SUCH a big deal all the time, can they NEVER compromise or just let the other have their way for once? EVERYTHING is hummed and hawed, played out TO DEATH (to the point of do it or don't, does it really matter anymore) and that makes it lose any kind of fun or interesting aspect to it.

I don't know the proper way to spell "Nonni" but my grandfather did live with a lady for MANY years and we were asked to call her that and we spelled it "Noni." I look forward to seeing what anyone else has to say about it as well.

Johnny, I was never really interested in him when he came on as crazy Johnny but I did enjoy his "fake" craziness for a day or two and am glad that they have shown him to be smarter than what they have lately and prove that he is NOT JUST a Zacharra and therefore destined to be a mobster but can think for himself.

You know, just when I'm starting to enjoy Ric, he does something that has me going...YEP there was a reason I didn't like him. I am HOPING that his keeping his mouth shut about AZ is because he is going to get the proof to bring to Sonny that it was AZ and SOMEHOW this will run the old coot out of town, Ric will look like the hero and be left alone. Who knows though?!

Last comment, and no disrespect meant to you JC, but I thought it was Jax, when he told Carly he was taking her and Morgan to the Metro Court that said "mob security is an oxymoron" not Jason?

i used to love sonny but now i cant stand him. he should be the one shot and killed off the show or jason should give the organization back to him, jason and elizabeth should be together, get married, and have twins.i am so glad robin and patrick are getting married. carly and jax should make up but not before she finishes making him suffer first. he is being a jackass!nicholas and nadine are too cute. i cant stand sam and lucky either together or apart. i love alexis with jerry. monica could use a new man now since alan, aj, and emily are all gone. she could move a new man in the quartermaine mansion and get tracy and edward riled up.lulu and johnny are cute but i am tired of her crazy story. i dont care for luke and laura together. luke is wonderful with tracy. but my favorite couple of all is maxie and spinelli!!!they are fabulous

I'm looking forward to seeing just "How Wonderful Love Can Be In Port Charles" with Liason

I think TPTB are onto something WONDERFUL... LOVE, ROMANCE, FAMILY & HUMOR! I absolutely love your fall theme and I believe this is what the show needs to bring those ratings up.

I'm mostly looking forward to Jake's paternity outage and for Liz sticking by her man "Jason" and finally making him realize that "HE" deserves to be happy.. Happy with her and their two sons. Liason Is The Story... This non-couple is just GOLDEN. Their chemistry on screen is amazing coupled with their years and years of GH history is just awesome. Would love to see Steve be more humorous around Liz & the boys. Steve is just a awesome actor. Love all those different faces he makes... We love Liason and are praying they will have a future together in Port Charles. (Ohhh, and can we please keep the fiesty Liz absolutely love her)

1. Looking forward to Monica welcoming her grandson.
2. Edward drooling over his greatgrandson
3. Alan showing up more to see his beautiful grandson
4. Looking for Edward to appoint Alice has one of Jake's bodyguards (that should be hilarious)
5. Really looking forward to Monica, Edward Jason & Liz finding out that Alan left Jake his stocks in ELQ and Tracey and Luke forged Alan's Will.. This should be a good s/l as well. Those are the things I'm looking forward too and I hope they all come true.

I would like to see Luke & Tracy together they make a good pair. They add some fun to the show. I would also to see Alan more often with Tracy they also make for some good fun for the show. I would also to see Sonny to stay with Kate & for them to have had a child. Maybe Spinlli

I really like Olivia, she is so much more interesting than Kate. Olivia tells it like it is & doesn't mix words like carly but she is more likable. I really hate that the writers are not giving Elizabeth and Jason a shot, it is so unfair that Lucky & Sam can have this great romance but poor Elizabeth gets nothing once again. I am kinda of tired of Sonny & his ranting, come on already let him either be a good guy or a bad guy pick one. Nikolas needs to be with somebody more interesting than Nadine she is so juvenile. I was dissappointed in Rick not spilling the beans about Anthony, I thought he actually had a heart and deep down cared about Sonny. I do like the comedy about Max, his father & Mario (Milo) oh and Jason being the lacky - how funny.

I hope they keep Olivia on she is really tuff but I do not want to see her get along with Carly I'd rather see her get the best of her. I really really want to see Jason & Elizabeth together finally after all these years of agony waiting for them to have some happiness, and it would be great if Elizabeth got pregnant with Jason's twins. I think the idea of Sonny & Claudia would be interesting as husband & wife. I do hope Jax & Carly get back together & that with Olivia in town Carly is not the one who is up in everyone's face instead due to the loosing jax & michael she becomes this compassionate person. I would really like to see Jerry get what's coming to him because he truly is evil to the core. I can't wait for them to bring Michael back from his coma & maybe he will be just like sonny tuff & out for revenge (new bad boy in town).
