Ex-GH 80's Characters Tapped for Night Shift Finale.

'Sean & Tif' (SOAPnet)
Between General Hospital and SOAPnet's spin-off "Night Shift", it's starting to feel a lot like old home week in Port Charles. The past few months have seen the return of 80's iconic characters such as Laura (Genie Francis), Noah (Rick Springfield), Anna (Finola Hughes) and Robert (Tristan Rogers), and as of October 14, "Night Shift" is making the list a little longer with the return of Sean Donely and Tiffany Hill Donely (John Reilly and Sharon Wyatt). Also set to appear in the two-part finale will be none other that Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary).

Why the reunion? General Hospital viewers who haven't tuned into the Primetime show will likely clamor to find out! (Warning, spoiler to follow.) Robert Scorpio is fighting colon cancer and he'll fall into a chemotherapy-induced coma during the finale of season two. His pals come together, not on an international jaunt to fight the bad guys as they so often did two decades ago, but to support Robin (Kimberly McCullough).

As if seeing all these familiar faces all on one set isn't thrilling enough to long-time fans, the regular opening theme for the show will be replaced with the title sequence that appeared in the 80's. What a treat, right?

Too bad they couldn't snag Frisco & Felicia, then it would really be a reunion!!!!!!

Cant wait, this is a must see episode... Holly would definately have wanted to be there for Robert... Could Emma Samms make an unannounced appearance...

I'm excited about this but surprised it took so long for Soaps.Com to post it. This was in TV Guide two weeks ago.

Love the whole idea with the possible exception of replacing the opening with the old one. Instead of "blast from the past", why can't they keep the new opening to show that there is a place in the new show for veteran talents? (And actually using vets in ways true to their past wouldn't hurt GH either.)

For those of you who were around in the '80's and followed the storyline for Sean and Tiffany, you must remember their wedding. It was one of the funniest wedding scenes that I've ever seen. You had to be familiar with their interaction to appreciate the humor. When they were saying their vows, Sean did not know Tiffany's real name and when the minister said her name, his reaction was classic. As funny as it was I cannot remember the name but I laugh everytime I think of his reaction. Does anyone out there remember this story and what her name was?

Straysaver, for some reason I thought the name was Elsie Mae Hubbard, but a quick search on the web and it appears to be Elsie Mae Crumholtz.
