I am shocked and saddened to hear of Shell's passing. It would be a very nice tribute if the PTB devoted a one hour special to her memory showing clips of her time on the show. We miss her greatly.

I was watching 'SoapsUP' on A Channel from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and the little soap program (inserted into ONTL) announced the passing away of Shell Kepler who portrayed Amy so brilliantly for many years. I only watch GH from time to time now but was a loyal fan for many many years. You could tell from her portrayal of Amy that she was a gal with real heart and soul. It seemed that she was always getting up to something and in trouble with her busy body ways but never coming from a mean place. I was so glad to read the comments Jackie Z posted and gave us insight into her character and kindness. The world has lost a lovely lady and sincere condolences to her brothers, family and friends at this their darkest time. A life gone too soon - much too soon - how very sad. Trust me, tears will be shed when people hear about her passing - she was a flicker of light in this sometimes dark and uncaring world we find ourselves in from time to time. She sounded like a person I would have loved to have called my friend. Again, I am so sorry for your loss, and ours.

I'm still sitting here in absolute stunned shock. Shell was far too young. I can't believe it. I always thought she would still be drifting in and out of Port Charles from time to time.

My condolences to her brother and to the GH cast and crew.
Shell's death is a loss to all of us.

I am very disappointed that TPTB still have not even mentioned Shell's passing, not even a photo of her and a tribute dedicating a show to her memory! It really irks me the way that the long time actors are treated once they are off the show. It is like they never existed.

i think that, gh should write amy's passing into the story. and show that luke cares, but you this whole thing reminds me that last year when laura came too for a day, she never once asked about amy, weird huh? and how come leslie never mentions her, and when did amy leave the show?

Tonight I Googled an old friend only to find out she has passsed away. I am so sad and shocked. For a short time in 1983 we dated and I was lucky enough to have called her my girl friend. We met on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. I was managing a band at the time in L.A. and she had just released her debut album called Shell and the Crush. One song in particular caught my attention which was called "Popular Girl". She was an amazing girl and I have often thought of her. While most remember her as "Amy", I wanted you all to know if you didn't already that she also loved music and had her own band in the '80's. It breaks my heart to know she is gone.
