GH's Stephen Macht in LA Play.

Stephen Macht (Soaps.com)
Wouldn't it be great to see several soap actors working together -- as characters different from who they play by day? That's exactly what you can see from LA's Temple Arts Theatre Company at the Wilshire Theater starting this weekend. The Tony-award winning play is a comedy-filled drama called "The Last Night of Ballyhoo". Written by Alfred Uhry, the story takes place in 1939's Atlanta, Georgia. It's a time when the world was at war, "Gone with the Wind" was being screened at theaters, but a certain self-centered family can only think of going to their country club for a dance party.

General Hospital fans will see the man who brought the world's worst father (Trevor Lansing) to life, Stephen Macht. He plays a father in "Ballyhoo" as well -- the patriarch of the lead family, Adolph Freitag. Other soap fans you'll see are Heather Tom (B&B's Katie Logan) and David Tom (ex-OLTL's Paul Cramer and ex-Y&R's
Billy Abbott).
