Meet the Bauers.

In the hospital, Sam tries to console Kristina, as Kiefer secretly listens from the door. Kristina wonders if her face will be like it was before and Sam assures her the bruises will heal with time. She doesn't want anyone to see her like this and Sam will make sure no will, but says the police will come to ask her some questions. Sam urges her to be honest with them and begs her to not protect her attacker. Kristina says she's tired and Sam leaves. As Kristina tries to rest, Kiefer walks in the room. She gets scared and cries as Kiefer emotionally apologizes and explains why he lost control. She thought he was going to kill her, but he says he never meant to do that. She can't believe he did this to her and he wonders why she protected him. He hopes she did it because she still loves him and asks if she can forgive him. She doesn’t know if she will ever be able to forgive him, but she doesn't want him to die. She saw the look on Sonny's face when she said it was Ethan and knows Sonny would have killed him if she told the truth. Kiefer thanks her for saving his life and hopes they can get past this.

Alexis walks into Kristina's room and finds her daughter in tears. Alexis asks Kiefer to leave and he does so. Kristina sobs and says it was her fault because she lied. Alexis asks what she lied about and she says it all started because she lied to Kiefer about not going out with him. Alexis reminds her it's not her fault and Kristina asks what happened to Ethan. Alexis says he has to pay for what he did and she will make sure he does. Jason is next to visit Kristina because he feels it might be easier for her to talk to him than her sister or her dad. He asks what happened that night and she recounts her story, but Jason doesn’t know how Ethan could be at her house, as well as fighting with Sam at the Haunted Star at the same time and wonders if she could have made a mistake.

Just Like Your Grandmother.

Lying in her hospital bed, Kristina again states Ethan beat her, but Lucky wonders why he would do that, as Sonny leaves the room. As Alexis tearfully sits by her side, Kristina recounts what happened at the Haunted Star and says Ethan showed up at her house furious and started hitting her. She begged him to stop, but he kept hitting. She starts to cry as she says she thought he cared about her. Alexis wants to stop the questioning and Lucky agrees, but he needs to speak to Alexis and Sonny since she's a minor, but notices Sonny is gone.

Alexis comes to Kristina's hospital room and tells her daughter they can talk about what happened when they get home. Kristina thinks she must be disappointed in her, but Alexis assures her this is not her fault because no one has the right to lay their hands on her. She tells Kristina she loves her and they will get through this. Sam comes to the room, and apologizes for leaving Kristina alone at the house. She explains that she went to talk to Ethan after he bruised her arm and Kristina says she never should have made him angry, but both Sam and Alexis tell her it's not her fault. Sam talks with Kristina alone and assures her she will get stronger from this and learn to define her boundaries, just as she did. Kristina thinks she's partly to blame, but Sam again tells her she is not at fault.

Dante comes to visit his sister after Sam has left and tells Kristina she's as gorgeous as ever – it's what happened to her that's ugly. He doesn’t want her to worry about Ethan, promising he'll be brought to justice. She says she's happy he's her brother and he returns the sentiment. Kristina falls asleep and Sonny walks in saying he will take things from there. Dante gets up and watches Sonny with his daughter from the doorway. Sonny whispers to a sleeping Kristina that she looks just like her grandmother. Dante listens as Sonny emotionally recalls being forced to watch his stepfather beat his mother. Choked up, he says none of his kids were ever supposed to go through anything like this.

Who Did This?

At home, Kristina tries to get away as Kiefer becomes increasingly more violent with her. After Kiefer is done hitting her and throwing her around, Kristina sobs on the floor, as he blames her for making him so mad. After Kiefer has left, Ethan comes to the house and sees Kristina lying on the floor. He runs over to her and when he brushes her hair back she lashes out and scratches him. He takes her in his arms and carries her out of the house.

Ethan brings Kristina to the hospital as Robin worries to Patrick about Maxie. Robin gets paged and leaves as Epiphany calls Patrick to check on Kristina. He goes in the room and is shocked by the sight of her and has Steve paged. Patrick questions Ethan outside the room who tells him he found her like that.

Lucky goes to the hospital and Steve tells him it will be awhile before he can talk to Kristina. Lucky sees Ethan who tells him he found Kristina and brought her there. Ethan leaves. Alexis and Sonny come to see Kristina, as Lucky starts to question her. Stunned, Sonny and Alexis urge her to tell Lucky who did this to her and she says it was Ethan.

Serious Trouble.

As Ethan tells Kristina he's tired of her games at The Haunted Star, she shoves him and yells he's hurting her. Worried, Luke stands up and tells them to cool it when their argument gets heated. Ethan throws Kristina out and tells her not to come back. Kristina runs away and Luke tells his son that wasn't the best way to handle the situation. They go to his office where Ethan explains what's gone down with Kristina and why he had to be tough on her. After Ethan has left, Sonny walks in the office to ask Luke to appeal to Lulu on his behalf. Luke will do what he can, but suggests he not hold his breath.

Kristina goes to the Metro Court bar and orders a drink, but Sam walks up and orders her a Shirley Temple instead. Sam is surprised by Kristina's behavior and then sees a mark on her arm. She demands to know who grabbed her and Kristina admits it was Ethan.
