Crash and Burn.

Matt is at the clinic working when two separate patients are brought in with similar symptoms. He thinks they've been poisoned.

Liz and Jason Revisit Their Decision.

Out on the waterfront, Jerry is eavesdropping as Maxie confronts Matt about the counterfeit drug ring. He clarifies that he lost a heart patient once to fake drugs and he wants to make sure that never happens again. He says that he traced the bad shipment to the same distributor that supplies GH, and that's part of the reason he came here. He says that he's getting close to figuring out which warehouse the bad meds are being stored in and then he can go to the authorities. After giving it some thought, Maxie agrees to keep his secret.

Liz & Jason Kiss!

Maxie is rushing along the waterfront when Matt jumps out and covers her mouth. She tries to scream for help, but doesn't have to because Jerry shows up and holds a gun to Matt's head. Matt nervously asks Maxie to tell him that he's not going to hurt her. After grumbling about her missing cheese enchilada for a minute, she reluctantly says, "This guy is annoying but he's not dangerous." Jerry puts his gun away and walks on. Matt tells Maxie that he was trying to track down counterfeit drugs and she is making it twice as hard. Jerry has heard what he said.

Kate's Busted.

Dr. Hunter stops into Spinelli's room and tells Maxie that the infection is getting worse. He says the surgery went well but the problem stems from somewhere else. After he leaves the room, Nadine comes in and tells her that from what she could see Dr. Hunter did everything right during surgery. Maxie asks her to get Patrick anyway. Patrick arrives later and pulls Matt aside. He tells him that he should not have performed such a complex surgery. Matt scoffs at the first comment and says that he's treating the infection by ordering another antibiotic because the first one was obviously counterfeit.

Laura Sheds Light for Lulu.

In the OR, Matt has removed Spinelli's spleen and Nadine is full of questions about whether or not he has checked the bowel, ruptured the diaphragm, etc. Finally Matt has had enough and asks her to leave his operating room. Epiphany echoes him and tells Nadine that she is "on report."

Maxie and Nadine are eagerly waiting for Epiphany's assessment of how Spinelli is doing after surgery. Epiphany tells them both that Dr. Hunter is arrogant, but he did a fine job and deserves their respect. Maxie goes into Spinelli's room and holds his hand while he sleeps. Liz comes in, checks his vitals and then brings Matt into the room. She reports that Spinelli's fever is spiking, so Matt orders a bunch of tests. Maxie smacks him in the face and announces that if anything happens to Spinelli she will ruin his life.

Laura Speaks to Lulu!

Matt and Leyla are at the 3rd floor nurses' station when Spinelli is brought in. After he's taken to an examination room, Nadine shows up and is upset to hear that Dr. Hunter is on the case. She rushes into the room and hears that Spinelli's spleen is ruptured and Matt wants to take it out. Nadine tells Spinelli not to consent! Matt stops her and tells her that her paranoia is out of control. He tells Spinelli that Patrick is off duty and his surgery needs to happen now. Maxie asks Elizabeth what she should do. Putting her personal feelings for Maxie aside, Liz says that Spinelli is bleeding internally and that Dr. Hunter is a good surgeon. Maxie turns to Spinelli and asks what he wants to do. He groggily tells her that his life is happily resting in her lovely hands.

Dr. Robin Drake?

The crowd that has gathered around Patrick and Robin at GH is listening intently as he professes his love for her. Anna and Mac, Kelly, Leyla, Liz, Dr. Matt and Epiphany all appear to be touched by his words. When he gets down on one knee and presents Robin with a diamond ring, his chin quivers as he says, "Robin, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" She remains stunned and Patrick asks her to say yes already so everyone can get back to caring for the sick and the needy. She smiles and tells him that she never thought of marriage happening like this and then runs to the elevator.

Nik and Claudia Team Up.

At GH, Matt is coming on to Leyla but she isn't biting. He asks her out to dinner and she says that she doesn't date in the workplace. He asks her to think about it, but Patrick steps up and tells him to back off. Patrick starts to talk about sexual harassment and Matt calls him "Patrick Dog Drake" and pretty much calls the kettle black. Anna is nearby and has overhead the whole thing.

Sonny Steps to the Forefront.

Down the hall, Spinelli tells Matt that he has manned up but still isn't ready to hear any bad news. Matt says that he's looking better now so Maxie yells at him for suggesting a tumor and sends him out the door. As Maxie perches on his bed, Spinelli expresses his fear that something other than mutual loathing is going on between her and Dr. Hunter. Maxie laughs and totally disregards the Shakespearean theory that Spinelli suggests. She adds that she has terrible taste in men, but great taste in friends. Neither tidbit pleases Spinelli.
