Sam is tucked into a hospital bed and Lucky stops by to see her before heading out to look for Diego. She tells him that he's hurt and needs to let someone else handle it. He won't hear of it. When Dr. Devlin comes in to check Sam out, Lucky makes him promise to take good care of her.
Before Patrick can press Robin into a conversation, Dr. Devlin comes out of the OR and says someone needs to break the news to Joe right away. Robin turns and leaves. Dr. Ford brings two guards to apprehend Joe and Dr. Devlin and Patrick go off on him for not being human.
Patrick and Ian Devlin are at work discussing the perfect glass of gin. Patrick agrees to meet him for a beer later and then Robin gets off the elevator. He rushes over to her and says they need to talk about the baby. Robin says there's nothing to talk about! Just then Joe comes in and asks Patrick for another favor. He says that no one is telling him anything about his baby and it's driving him crazy. Patrick understands the feeling and says he and Dr. Scorpio will help. They find Kelly and Dr. Devlin suggests that a dangerous drug interaction may end up killing Angie and her baby. Kelly says they've just turned critical and they all prepare for surgery.
Scott finds Lulu at the hospital and tells her that he's going to have her arrested for trying to murder his son. He has been drinking and his loud voice is getting attention. Dr. Devlin pulls him away from Lulu, who sits down with Lucky to talk. She asks if he would lecture her if she admits that she has feelings for Johnny. Lucky gently tells her that we have no control over who we develop feelings for and then gives her a hug.
At the nurses' desk, Dr. Devlin tells Liz that they need to get better records of their patients during the discharge process. He says that he doesn't have a home number for Sam McCall, but he needs her to follow up with him so he can repair her abdomen scarring. Then he says that Nikolas Cassadine left the hospital again, too.
Dr. Devlin swings by Nik's hospital room and asks if he has considered the conditions he laid out regarding the highly secretive pill. Nik doesn't understand why he would take the risk on his behalf and the doctor says something about wanting to cut through the red tape to help people. Before Nik can give his answer, Devlin pulls out an envelope and leaves the pill on his table.
Robin joins Nik and they talk about her approach to treating his tumor. Then Dr. Devlin shows up and offers another treatment. Nik goes off for tests and Maxie rushes in wanting Robin to identify the pill she found in Coop's room. Dr. Devlin says he knows what it is. It's a research drug, he says, but it's not available in this country. Maxie says that she found it in her dead boyfriend's place and Dr. Devlin asks if he was in the armed services. He says it's a pill for liver damage that's available only to troops. He adds that it can also be used as an adrenaline booster but if taken regularly, it can produce a sweet smell in the body. Upon hearing that, Maxie's eyes fly open and she takes off.
At the hospital, Patrick watches as Robin and Ian argue over how best to treat Nikolas. Leyla interrupts and announces that Mr. Cassidine has left again. Now Robin and Ian have something slightly different to bicker about. Finally, Patrick tells Ian that Robin is hormonal and Robin spits that they are the ones who are providing an excesses of hormones!
At GH, Patrick impresses Epiphany by telling her that Dr. Devlin switched from reconstructive surgery to oncology. Robin approaches the desk and asks where Nikolas went? Dr. Devlin pipes up and says that he has seen patients with similar tumors as Mr. Cassadine. Patrick and Robin ask how he helped his patient with a tumor. As Dr. Devlin starts to talk them through his treatment, Nikolas returns and Patrick introduces the new member of their team.
