Kate finally makes it to Sonny's side in the waiting room. He tells her that Carly was shot once and was in a coma for a while, but she came back. He says that Michael will too. Johnny rushes into the hospital, but no one can tell him Michael's condition since he's not family. He looks across the room and sees Claudia - who has torn out her stitches on her waist. He jerks her arm for an explanation and she tells him she needs a doctor!
Not Michael!
Trevor is out at the Zacchara mansion telling Johnny that Sonny is likely planning his murder during this so-called truce. He suggests that they kill Sonny while they still have the chance. Claudia scoffs that he's just worried that Sonny's going to take him out now that he owns the Alcazar piers. Trevor realizes that he's getting nowhere, so he leaves. Claudia tells Johnny that Sonny will be dead within the hour and that it will look like a 3rd party hit, nothing more. She asks what his alibi is going to be. He says he plans on going over to The Haunted Star to work with Luke for a while. She asks if he's hoping to see Lulu and he says that he won't turn away from her if she seeks him out. She gives him a little kiss and then leaves to find her own alibi.
Claudia goes to the Metro Court and runs into Jerry. They exchange phony pleasantries and admit they are each on their way to "meet their alibi". She moves to the front desk and asks for the penthouse, which is promptly blocked from her use as per Carly's instructions. Claudia pitches a fit and insists to see the owner. When Carly shows up the two women throw nasty insults at each other. Loudly.
Change Is In The Air.
Luke as at the Haunted Star when Claudia shows up and asks when "they" open. She tells Luke that she and John work as partners, so he might as well get used to her around here. Luke tells her to revise her plan because her brother agreed to be a silent partner. Claudia takes a different tact and says that if Johnny's "thing" for Lulu goes much farther it could be disastrous for both of them. Luke doesn't want to get involved and Claudia tells him that her father made a lot of enemies and Lulu could get caught in crossfire at any point. "Anything happens to Lulu and your brother is dead," Luke states and tells her to relay the message.
Claudia returns home and faces a very surly brother. He doesn't like all the secrecy around Sonny's hit and tells her that he's concerned that she has feelings for Sonny and isn't really behind the project. He says that he won't be happy if Sonny lives, but he can deal with it if that's the case. Claudia says that she can't let Sonny live because of what he did to her brother. She talks about how their father locked them down and beat them like Sonny did Johnny and she won't stand for that ever again. Johnny admits that his experiences are exactly how he was able to remain Sonny's prisoner for so long. Claudia says that it took her a long time to realize that the way a woman looks is a lot of the power that she needs to handle a man. "When people underestimate you, they are a lot easier to take down," she says and explains that's exactly why she went after Sonny. With tears starting to flow, she says that Sonny was insulting and dismissive from the start, but she had to pretend she was attracted to him. After tonight he will never have the chance to hurt a woman again, Claudia promises.
Agreements Are Made.
Carly tells Claudia that if she doesn't leave the Metro Court, people might think they cater to hookers. Claudia tells Carly that she does NOT want her for an enemy. Carly tells her to stay away from her and they'll get along just fine. Claudia tells her to remember this conversation.
Johnny returns home and Claudia asks if he'd like to buy the Metro Court Hotel away from Carly Corinthos. Johnny tells her to forget her vendettas and concentrate their investments on how to grow their presence in Port Charles. He tells her about his investment in The Haunted Star. Claudia can see his plan is about more than just another venue to launder money through and warns that Luke is a smart guy and they don't want him figuring out that they were Sonny's killers. Johnny tells her to cover her tracks as well as she claims she can and they'll be fine. Besides, Luke has a bum leg so they can't get started for a couple weeks. "No problem," Claudia purrs, "Sonny dies on Friday."
Monica Faces the Music.
Claudia finds Johnny at his desk in a foul mood. He says that he has learned that Trevor is behind trying to keep their father in Shady Brook whether he needs to be there or not. Claudia's face goes pale and says that the old man needs to stay put! Johnny doesn't disagree.
Back at the Metro Court, Carly is livid when she sees that Jax has booked a party for Crimson magazine and what's more, he's comping it! She tells her employee that he is to bill the high and mighty Kate Howard. Then she sees Claudia over at the bar and walks over and announces that she is not welcome there. Claudia asks why and Carly spits that Claudia was in the room when she miscarried her child. Claudia tells her that she is just jealous because she slept with her ex-husband. Carly's jaw drops.
A Plan is Hatched.
Spinelli has thrown himself into his most recent assignment (spying on Sonny for Jason). He's watching as Claudia sips her martini at the Metro Court bar with Sonny - who refuses to drink with her. She calls Kate a "stick figure" with a head on it and Sonny tells her that she's threatened by his girlfriend. As they talk, Sonny takes a quick phone call and discusses a meeting at the warehouse on Friday. Johnny shows up and tells Sonny to stay away from his sister. He says that their truce will remain in tact but only if Sonny stays away. Sonny agrees with Johnny and tells Claudia to stay away from him and Kate. Sonny leaves (followed by Spinelli, of course.)
