"Since when do you serve tea to out-of-towners?" Luke asks Tracy as he walks into the Q study to find her with Claudia. Tracy confesses that she's trying to bribe Claudia out of his life and then reminds him that with the Zaccharas around others could end up like Michael! Lulu shows up and asks what's going on? Claudia rats on Tracy for trying to buy Johnny out of The Haunted Star. Lulu assures everyone that she told Sonny that Johnny had nothing to do with the shooting. Satisfied, Claudia leaves and Tracy tells Luke that Lulu will soon be mob road kill if he doesn't do something. Lulu and Luke argue over her choices and she storms out of the room.
After Diane and Alexis leave, Patrick proceeds to have a few drinks. Then he drunk dials Robin and asks if she needs anything, like a father for her baby? She tells him that's not funny. Next he offers some ice cream and ribs and she thanks him, but declines. After they hang up, Claudia brings him over a drink. They end up talking about Robin's HIV pregnancy and Patrick does his best to explain Robin's point-of-view. He ends up telling her that they broke up and why and how it happened that they conceived a baby over a one-night stand and a broken condom. Claudia tells Patrick that he was set up! As Patrick denies that Robin would do anything like that, she shows up and puts a protective arm around him.
Harsh Realities.
The Haunted Star is haunted by Claudia Zacchara this morning. Luke has asked her to come by to see if she was involved in Michael's shooting. Claudia denies it, but Luke says he wants to make sure that Lulu isn't around when Sonny starts shooting at Johnny. Lulu comes in and tells Luke that she and Johnny were together right here yesterday when Michael was shot, so he couldn't have done it. Claudia says that clearly someone from out of town took advantage of the tension between the families. She offers to make it worth Luke's while if he passes her theory on to Sonny. Claudia leaves and Lulu says if he doesn't talk to Sonny, she will.
Back at the Q mansion, Edward answers the door and is pleased to meet the acquaintance of Claudia Zacchara. She flirts with him until Alice butts in and then Tracy finds them all in the foyer. She pulls Claudia into the study and offers to buy her out of her interest in The Haunted Star. "I guess that's one way to get me out of Luke's lap," Claudia says. Tracy asks her to name her price and before she can answer, Luke shows up.
Surviving is One Thing, Living is Another.
In hushed tones, Claudia warns Johnny to keep his voice down in the hospital lobby. She promises to keep him out of any fallout, but that's not what he is worried about. He tells her that a kid should not have to pay for his father's mistakes and then announces that he is going to tell Sonny about his role in Michael's shooting. He turns to walk away but Trevor intercepts him. Trevor tells him to go to Sonny and turn Claudia over to him or else he has a bull's eye on his head.
As Johnny and Claudia tell Trevor that he could easily be the shooter, Alexis shows up and asks Johnny if he will swear to that in a court of law. Trevor tells her that Johnny has no proof to back it up, but Johnny says that Trevor has always told him that he wants Sonny dead. Trevor tells Alexis that he was having drinks with the Major when Sonny was shot. She tells Trevor not to leave town and then leaves herself. Johnny turns to Claudia and said they bought time, that's all. He tells her to fix this or he will!
Ian returns to his office and finds a livid Claudia waiting for him. When she attacks him, he threatens that if she turns him in for the shooting he'll admit that he uses Zacchara resources to smuggle drugs. He tells her that they can both walk away from this tragic mistake and Claudia leaves in a huff.
When Claudia and Johnny are being driven back home, she starts to cry. She tells Johnny that Michael is older than he was when their dad tried to kill him but killed his mother instead. "I remember watching our father pick up the gun and point it at you," she says. She says that she screamed and screamed but their evil father pulled the trigger anyway. She says it is evil to shoot at a child and now she has become their father. Johnny says that she didn't mean for it to happen, but Claudia is too upset to hear him.
Little Victim, Big Fallout.
Claudia and Carly are facing off at the Metro Court. Each woman's biting commentary is followed by a bitter retort until Carly gets a phone call from Kate. She starts to yell at her for taking her son to the warehouse and Kate urges her to listen. She tells her that Michael's been shot. While Carly freaks out Claudia insists that Marty get a car around front to take Carly to the hospital.
Claudia shows up at GH and tells Dr. Devlin that she needs to talk with him right away because something has gone very, very wrong. Just then, Leyla tells him that he needs to scrub in and help Patrick in the OR. He leaves a steaming Claudia and prepares for surgery.
