Claudia returns to her room and finds Jason there. He says that he thinks she knows who sent Michael's shooter.
One Less Evil Citizen in Port Charles.
Claudia saunters up to Luke's bar but receives a cold shoulder from Sonny and Luke. She tells them that they have one thing in common, their hatred for her father. "Who wants to step up and kill him?" she asks. She explains that Anthony is a free man now and needs to be stopped and then weaves a tale about the possibility that Anthony hired the shooter who hurt Michael. Sonny jumps to his feet and suggests that maybe she did it! Claudia does a pretty good job of reminding him of all the people who might like to see him out of their way, including Trevor and Ric.
Jerry joins Claudia at the Metro Court bar and they talk about the fortunate demise of Dr. Devlin. Claudia says she feels like celebrating, but Jerry tells her to keep a clear head in case Ian gave them up to Jason before he died.
Unlikely Alliances.
Out at Zacchara headquarters, Claudia has been banished from the "men's" business dealings and is trying to eavesdrop from outside the door. Logan finds her and she immediately starts to flirt with him. When that doesn't work, she insults him by calling him her father's glorified nurse. On the other side of the door, Johnny tells his father that he is in charge and what he says goes. Trevor takes the opportunity to point out to Ric that is how a son respects his father. Ric turns the tables on him and reveals that Trevor is now the owner of the Alcazar piers and if he wants to show respect, maybe he should turn them over to Anthony. Anthony likes that game and asks Johnny which of the two Lansing men does he want for a friend and which does he want for an enemy? They discuss possible scenarios about the property and decide that Trevor can keep them for now. Anthony dismisses Ric and Trevor and tells Johnny that he's proud of him, but he just made an enemy of Ric.
Out in the foyer, Lulu is trying to get some work done but Claudia shows up to ask questions about Logan. Kate comes out and asks Claudia to leave her assistant alone. Then she tells Lulu that she's going to GH to visit Michael. Claudia jumps right in and calls Kate dumb if she's going to see Sonny's son. She reminds Kate that if she hadn't insisted on taking the boy to see his daddy at work, none of this would've happened and that Carly must hate the sight of her face.
Luke is feeling his hangover when Sonny comes to The Haunted Star asking for a drink. Luke gladly gives him one and Sonny asks about the time when Lucky was in a coma. He tells Luke about Michael's prognosis and then about Carly's comment about how letting him die might be better. Sonny admits that he's starting to wonder if she's right. Luke asks if Michael can breathe on his own and Sonny says he's in perfect health but he can't wake up. Luke says it was easier to make the call (to pull the plug) with Lucky because he was on a ventilator. Then he realizes that Laura's kind of in the same boat as Michael, but she always believed in miracles. Sonny says that Michael's odds are 10,000 and 1 and the house always wins. Just then Claudia shows up and says that they need to talk about her father.
Harsh Realities.
Anthony hasn't shown up at the Zacchara mansion yet, so Johnny asks Claudia how much of what she said on the stand is a lie. She says that all of it was and he should just follow her lead. Anthony shows up and promptly kicks Claudia out from behind his desk. He asks for an update about the business and then asks Claudia if she had anything to do with the Corinthos kid getting shot in the head? She said the kid would be dead if she planned it. Ric and Trevor start to bicker and Anthony tells them to step outside so he can spend time with his kids. He apologizes to them for his past transgressions. He takes both of their hands and says if they stay together they can have it all. Johnny and Claudia exchanged cryptic looks and smile. Then Anthony tells Claudia that Zaccharas don't involve their women in business so she needs to leave. Johnny pretends to agree, so she leaves, but she is seething.
Beginnings.
Claudia has taken the stand in her father's hearing. Alexis is trying to get Claudia to admit that her father has threatened her life, but Claudia isn't cooperating. When asked, she says that her father didn't tamper with her brakes, she just had a little car trouble that's all. Alexis continues to question her whereabouts last night and Claudia sheepishly admits that she had a date with Jason! Diane takes over the questioning because Alexis is flustered at her own witness's change of direction. Claudia doesn't answer Diane's questions either and merely makes a point of saying that her daddy loves her.
After the judge has heard both sides, he comes to a decision. He says that no testimony was offered to convince him that Mr. Zacchara is a present danger to himself or others, and then releases him from protective custody. After it's all over, Trevor tells Ric to scurry off where he came from. Anthony tells them not to fight in public, but says that he's looking forward to their dog fight. Logan stands up and wheels him to his afternoon therapy appointment. Claudia kisses her dad in congratulations while Johnny just looks on in disgust.
Johnny and Claudia get home and he quickly pours himself a drink because he's angry at her for not burying their father in court. She tells him that she has a plan and together they will destroy the crazy old man so that he never hurts them again. They "pinky promise" to seal the deal.
