Back in Jason's office, Spinelli spews his displeasure at Maxie's comments about how hot Sonny is because of his darkness. Diane peeks in and announces that Claudia wants to see him and Jason is thrilled to see anyone besides Spinelli. He tells Diane to help Spinelli and that it's "…really billable." After she ushers a babbling Spinelli out the door, Claudia comes in. The first thing she says is that there will be no peace regardless of what her brother has promised - as long as Anthony is allowed to live. Jason says if she wants her father dead she needs to kill him herself.
Johnny has gone out at Wyndemere to talk to Nik. He cuts to the chase and tells him to stay away from his sister. Claudia comes in and hears Johnny tell Nik to call a hooker the next time he gets tired of grieving. She tells him not to dictate who she sleeps with!
Family Business.
Lulu walks into Nik's study at Wyndemere and catches Claudia planting a kiss on her brother's cheek. She immediately orders Claudia to get away and asks Nik what he's doing with a tramp like Claudia? Nik defends Claudia as a guest in his house, but Claudia decides that it's time to go home. She assures Nik that she'll be fine and leaves him to deal with his sister. He sits with Lulu and asks why she isn't nicer to Johnny's sister. Lulu says that Claudia is trouble because she grew up totally differently than Johnny did. Then she begs Nik to join the land of the living and grieve openly for Emily so that he can move on.
Claudia has gone to the Metro Court and is in the lobby looking at a newspaper article about her family's house fire. Johnny gets off the elevator and greets her warmly. He fills her in on the fire that Jason set - as the new leader of the Corinthos organization. Claudia says that their father won't take that from anyone! Johnny asks where she's been and she simply says that she got carried away after she met someone.
Lulu finds Claudia at the Metro Court and the two women get in each other's faces. Lulu says that she won't let a tramp take advantage of her grieving brother and Claudia calls her a little girl who can't stop her. As she promises to find a way to give Lulu a fight Carly steps between the two of them and promises to give Claudia a fight she won't soon forget.
No Room at the Inn.
Out at Wyndemere, Nik is pouring coffee when Claudia comes into the room. He coolly tells her that they need to discuss what happened last night. Claudia tells him that she was just trying to ease his pain and that the kiss was no big deal. He says that he never should have let it go that far and that he feels guilty for some reason. Claudia reminds him how much he has to live for and Nikolas asks if she came on to him so that he wouldn't reveal her secret. Claudia indignantly says that he should stop looking for the worst in her and he apologizes. He says that Cassadines always look for the dark said and she admits that Zaccharas are the dark side. However, in this case she had no ulterior motive. She says that she will always wonder what might have been and then kisses him on the cheek. Lulu has stepped into the room and seen it.
Anthony Makes a Decision.
Claudia has brought Nikolas back into the house at Wyndemere and is nursing his bruised rib. She tells him about Alfred's (or "Jeeves" as she calls him) warnings that he has a death wish and Nik says if that were true he simply wouldn't have had the brain surgery. She doesn't really buy it and suggests that he's passively suicidal instead. She tells him that she gets why he wouldn't want to live without Emily. He says that he will always be in love with her but he needs to raise his son. She insists that he take the pain pills that she's been taking and although he resists, he takes them. He asks why she's helping him even though he could expose her big secret. She tells him that she might be planning to smother him after the pills kick in and then he could wake up with Emily. Nik confidently tells her that she wouldn't do it and that someone must have hurt her really badly at some point. She says that he's wrong. As he starts to doze, she brushes the hair off of his forehead.
Claudia goes into Nik's room to check on him. He's sleeping, so she takes a water glass from his hand and puts it on the table. He opens his eyes and for a moment thinks Claudia is Emily. He whispers that he's sorry and Claudia asks him why. She doesn't wait for his answer, instead she kisses him.
Jason Strikes Back!
Nik is in his office doing a conference call and stops in the middle of it when he mistakes Claudia for Emily. He hangs up his call and apologizes to Claudia for his reaction to seeing her wearing one of Emily's robes. She explains that Alfred is washing her clothes and gently suggests that maybe he should consider finding a new place to live since everything seems to remind him of Emily. Nik says that she will be with him no matter where he lives. Claudia comments about not understanding a love like that and eagerly listens to him as he talks about what he and Emily shared.
Back at Wyndemere, Alfred brings Claudia some tea and asks if perhaps Mr. Nikolas mentioned anything about going for a night ride on his horse. Claudia says that would be stupid since it's pitch black outside. Alfred suggests that Nikolas doesn't care and doesn't seem to want to live without Emily. Claudia rushes out to the grounds and finds Nikolas on the ground after being thrown from his horse.
