After Claudia snipes at Olivia over the phone under the guise of planning her party, Sonny comes in and Claudia has a feeling her party will change both of their lives.
Claudia comes downstairs holding her outfit for the night and tells Sonny she has a secret for him, but he’ll have to wait to find out what it is.
Claudia gets upset when she can’t get a hold of her brother and then Dominic enters. He learns of the birthday party and Sonny asks him to take Claudia to her hotel room.
Dante brings Claudia to her room and tries to leave, but she taunts him about Olivia being with Johnny. She threatens if he doesn’t find Johnny, she will expose his and Olivia’s secret.
Olivia comes to Claudia’s room who thinks she knows where Johnny is. Olivia swears she doesn’t know where he is, but Claudia threatens she will tell Sonny that Dante is his son.
On the plane, Claudia and Sonny talk about what they accomplished in Puerto Rico. Sonny also looks forward to the birthday party he’s going to throw her to send the message that nothing will ever be the same.
Sonny and Claudia talk about losing their baby and he tells her about Lily. Claudia understands why he doesn’t want any more kids. She will respect it and just be a really good stepmom. Sonny says Kristina is the one who needs them the most and Claudia blames Alexis for the distance between him and his daughter. He wishes Alexis wouldn’t fight him on everything and fears his daughter doesn’t think he loves her. Claudia suggests the two of them do something with her so Kristina can see a woman love Sonny for who he is and that’s her. As they make plans, their plane experiences turbulence, which scares Claudia. Things get worse and Sonny tells her to hold his hand.
Claudia comes in after Sonny has a nightmare about Michael’s shooting. He tells her after he has a good night, the guilt sets in and he relives every second of his son just lying on the ground, gone. Claudia tries to make him feel better, but he owns his guilt and carries it with him. He knows he can’t be so smug as to justify who he is, so when he starts to feel the power, he remembers his part in Michael’s shooting and he doesn’t feel good about himself anymore – as it should be. Claudia tells him he has to find a way to deal with it because Michael wants to move on, but can’t if his father is beating himself up every day. It breaks her heart to watch him miss out on valuable moments because he can’t get over what happened. His kids love him and accept him and he needs to find peace in himself and love them back.
The associate from the club comes to Sonny and Claudia’s room to assure them there will be no more trouble and Mo, the man who pulled the gun on them, met with an accident. After the man leaves, Sonny thanks Claudia for her help, but wants to go home so he can throw the party for her to show how lucky he is to have her by his side.
In Puerto Rico, Sonny and Claudia continue to play power couple and talk with more associates about their host who has betrayed them all. The men assure Sonny they are loyal to him and hope to do business with him for years to come. Sonny trusts they will treat his enemies as their own. The men assure him they will handle it and as Sonny and Claudia get up to leave, their ‘host’ pulls a gun on them, but Claudia aims right back with her own gun. The man backs down and one of the other associates apologizes to Sonny and assures him everything will be taken care of.
