Claudia comes upon Johnny and Lulu in front of Kelly's. She tells them to kiss goodbye because the family comes first. She says that she's going to marry Sonny Corinthos because their lives belong to their father. Johnny and Lulu turn and leave. Later, after they have just finished dinner at The Metro Court Lulu thanks Johnny and then turns down his offer to help pay to rebuild Kelly's. She says that her family probably has insurance and besides, she doesn't want anything to do with his father's money. Johnny asks who she thinks paid for the dinner they just had? Lulu suggests that maybe it's time that he makes some changes and he can't disagree.
Another Kiss Goodbye.
Over at GH, Olivia finds Claudia taunting Kate about her impending marriage to Sonny. She tosses her out, but finds Claudia's coat has been left behind. In the pocket, Olivia finds a cell phone.
Sonny Swims With the Fishes!
In the hospital, Claudia is pleading with Anthony to make a change so they can be a real family. He wakes up and calls her by another name; she tells him who she really is. "You're a viper," he whispers and accuses her of trying to kill him. Johnny comes in and Anthony tells him that Claudia left him to die. Johnny says Claudia saved him but Anthony won't listen. He keeps telling Johnny that Claudia tried to kill him; Johnny won't listen. Sonny comes in and Claudia agrees to marry him! Sonny says the organization needs him and he is willing to step in to ensure that their organization doesn't fall apart. Johnny hates the idea but Anthony interrupts and says he approves the marriage. Sonny walks out. Johnny can't believe it; Claudia says she understands why it has to happen. "This is for your benefit," Anthony says.
I Do...Believe My Water Broke.
Out in the waiting room. Johnny brings Claudia coffee and says that she would've called 911 if he hadn't have. She says that she'll never forgive him for keeping their father alive if she ends up married to Sonny Corinthos.
An Oath Trumps a Vow.
Out at the Zacchara mansion, Anthony is lying on the floor seizing as Claudia gives him a little kick to see if he's bluffing. She says that she used to pray for this when she was a little girl and maybe God is finally answering her. Johnny rushes in and races to the phone. Claudia begs him to hang up because their lives would be so much better without the old man. Johnny says that he is their father and he can't just watch him die.
Instead, Johnny and Claudia, along with Anthony on a gurney, get off the elevator and Johnny tells Patrick that he'll pay any amount of money if Patrick will stay and operate on his father. Patrick does a quick evaluation and says that there's blood leaking into Anthony's brain from an aneurysm and he needs immediate surgery. Johnny insists that Patrick put his wedding on hold so that his father can have the best surgeon. Matt overhears, and quietly offers to do the surgery and if another mobster bites the dust, so be it. Patrick learns that the doctor on call is at least twenty minutes away and then announces that he'll do the surgery, with Dr. Hunter assisting. When Matt reminds him that he's supposed to be 'getting shackled to Robin', Patrick says that she'll understand.
No Wedding Jitters for Robin.
Claudia was so busy last night that she forgot that Ric was waiting for her at a room above Jakes'. He tells her as much when he breezes into the Zacchara study, and she apologizes. She explains that she was busy trying to marry Jason in order to secure her place in the family. She says that it didn't go through, though, but she would've done it. Ric is furious with her, and even more so after she tells him that now she'll have to marry his brother!
Claudia breezes into Kate's hospital room, replaces her vase of flowers, and asks for insight into Sonny for when she marries him. She explains that her father insists that she marry Sonny before he joins the family business. Kate tells her that she's out of her mind. Claudia plops down on Kate's bed and says that now she can offer Sonny more than sex, she can offer power and they both know that's a big turn-on to him. Kate says that Sonny hates her, but Claudia says that Sonny will soon be hers. That's when Olivia shows up and tells Claudia to get away from her cousin!
Claudia shows up at Anthony's house and says that daddy really does know best. She says that he needs her for the first time in her life and she's going to work it! Anthony says that she's just like her mother and won't get away with manipulating him. He calls her a disgrace, but she says that he must be desperate or else he wouldn't be showing his cards so soon. She gets right in his face and tells him that he can pimp her out, but it has its price. Anthony is enraged and as he screams at her, he suddenly starts choking.
Laura Leaves with Scott!
Claudia and Jason are standing before the Justice of the Peace. As he starts reciting the vows, Claudia asks Jason for money so she can bribe the Justice to skip all references to 'love'. The Justice agrees, but says that he can't marry two people who won't even take the other's hand. Reluctantly, Jason and Claudia hold hands. The Justice decides that he won't marry them because they obviously can't stand each other. Claudia turns to Jason and says that she would've done it and leaves the room. Jason gives the Justice a wad of cash, takes the unsigned marriage certificate and apologizes for wasting his time.
