Claudia plops herself down at Ric and Sonny's table at The Metro Court. She brings up the subject of brothers and asks if they share their deadliest secrets. She asks if they are close now or is Ric playing his big brother. Then she brings up the subject of loyalty and ponders how much anyone can really trust anyone else. She weaves a few scenarios about what they might be up to, and finally Ric has had enough and leaves. Sonny tells Claudia not to play with him by threatening to tell Ric about Karpov. She tells him that from where she sits it looks like he's going for revenge against Jason.
Eli Rocks & Anna's Eyes Roll.
Ric has just told Jason that Sonny is working with Karpov and Claudia can't believe her ears. Ric goes on about how Sonny dumped his business on Jason and then traded up. Jason tells him to stop because he doesn't believe a word of it. Ric contends that Sonny wants back into the business and has gotten in bed with the enemy. Jason doesn't reply, he only warns Claudia to be careful and then leaves. Claudia tells Ric that this was a perfect example of why she can't trust him. Ric says that he only wanted Jason to make a pre-emptive strike against Karpov and make it all easier on her family. Claudia doesn't see it that way, she says that he has brother issues and is dangerous. Ric reminds her that she should only be concerned about Johnny at this point. "Deal or no deal?" he asks. Claudia tells him that he can have whatever he wants if he gets Johnny off all charges.
As Jason's head reels, there's a knock on his door. Claudia has come to talk and Jason says he already knows all he needs to know. He sends Spinelli upstairs anyway. Claudia says that Sonny did indeed meet with Karpov's attorney the other night. She tells him that there's more to it and he needs to hear it before he puts a bullet in Sonny's head. She says that she went to Sonny and he assured her that he is only working to protect Jason, not hurt him. Jason tells her to stay out of it. Before she leaves, she warns Jason that he'll get backed into a corner very soon and he'll need to step up no matter what the cost.
Team Anna.
Back in Port Charles, Ric hands over Logan's service record and Claudia reads that Logan stabbed a guy in the military when they were arguing over a woman. Ric says that he can plead self defense given Logan's background and then plea down the other charges. Claudia isn't convinced that Ric can work magic, but he says that Scott will get his revenge if they don't team up. Claudia tells him that Anthony has shut her out of everything so what could she possibly offer. He says that they can have a "…mutually beneficial relationship, in and out of bed." Claudia is surprised, but then says that she'll go to bed with him the day he gets her brother acquitted.
As Claudia and Ric are finishing up their business Jason shows up at her door. He sees them together and tells Claudia not to trust Ric. In turn, Ric tells Jason that if he wants to talk about loyalty, he should ask Sonny why he's working with Karpov.
Scott Goes on a Rampage.
Claudia has gone to see Jason at the PCPD. Jason tries to assure her that Johnny will call her if he needs her. He advises her to lay low for now because the cops are probably watching her 24/7. He says that the APB will get old and Johnny probably has enough resources to get out of the country for good. Claudia asks Jason if he could walk away from someone he loves forever? She says that she is the one who left a trail between Logan's body and Johnny and this is all her fault. Jason says that it's hard to accept that you aren't good for the people you love. Claudia isn't at all happy with his advice and leaves.
Claudia goes to see Sonny and makes a crack about all of the security he has for a coffee importer. Finally she gets down to it and asks if he and his new partner will help her find Johnny. Sonny reminds her that he held Johnny hostage and doesn't care whether he lives or dies. Claudia says that she's not asking (and appears to be ready to make some kind of threat) so Sonny calls Max in to escort her out.
Ric shows up on Claudia's doorstep. He tells her that he can help get Johnny out of this mess. Claudia says that she'll grovel if that's what it takes. Ric asks what she's prepared to give him if he can get Johnny acquitted.
Project: Cover Lulu's Butt.
Claudia returns to her room at The Metro Court and finds her father waiting for her. He apologizes for the horrible things he said last night. He says that it's her mother's fault that their relationship is so bad because she turned her against him. He claims to regret it and says that he wishes they could have been closer, but it can never be. "That hunger for power makes you dangerous to Johnny," he finally says. Before she can respond, her phone rings and it's Johnny. He can tell that she can't talk, so he tells her that he's safe and will be in touch. Claudia hangs up and tells Anthony that it was Sonny checking up on her. Anthony says that Sonny can't protect her and if anything happens to Johnny the blame is on her.
Claudia makes her way down the PCPD hallway and Lucky snags her. He orders her to tell him where his brother took Lulu. She says that not everything is about Johnny and that she's here to visit Jason because she thinks he's hot. Lucky practically tells her that's "too much information" and let's her go.
