CLAUDIA ZACCHARA CORINTHOS'S HISTORY
When Claudia first came to Port Charles, her father loathed the sight of her. She didn't ruffle, just set about the business of securing a place in her family in order to be close to her brother Johnny. Eager to please her father, she took a hit out on rival Sonny Corinthos. She wanted Jerry Jacks to be the shooter, but he was involved with the District Attorney (Alexis Davis) at the time and declined. He suggested Ian Devlin for the job. Claudia agreed, but the hit went terribly wrong. Devlin shot Sonny's young son Michael instead and put the boy in a coma. Claudia was sorry about her part in hurting a child and did everything she could to bury her part in it.
She finally had a chance to get some power within her dimented family when Anthony forced Sonny to marrry her in order to run the family business. Not one to care about love, Claudia quickly agreed. She like the idea of being involved in the business and didn't mind marrying sexy Sonny to do so. Johnny warned her not to do it because Sonny would surely kill her if he learned of her part in his son's shooting. Positive he'd never find out, she set about the business of lording her newfound status as Mrs. Sonny Corinthos over everyone. Jerry Jack died, but soon after a DVD appeared with him spilling the beans about her failed hit attempt on Sonny. She continues to scramble to keep Sonny from finding out about the DVD.

Wednesday, July 01 2009: Home Sweet Home.
Jax tells Carly he wanted Claudia to help them get Michael out of Sonny’s house. Carly doesn’t think Claudia would do anything to help them and Claudia counters there’s a lot she doesn’t know about Michael’s situation or Jax’s involvement in it. Carly tells her to leave and Claudia says she has no reason to help them and walks out.
Johnny meets Claudia at Jake’s who tells him Jax knows about her involvement in Michael’s shooting. He thinks their only hope is to ride this out and have faith that what happened to Michael stays a secret.
Claudia comes home and learns Michael has moved to the Quartermaines. Sonny hates it, but thinks Carly is right about this one. Claudia promises to never try and take his kid away from him.
Tuesday, June 30 2009: Courtly Love.
Olivia summons Claudia to Jax’s office and then leaves the two of them alone. Jax informs her he knows everything about her involvement in Michael’s shooting and if she doesn’t convince Sonny to let Michael live with the Qs, he will tell Jason and Sonny all about it. She counters she will tell Carly he knew everything when Carly shows up wondering what’s going on.
