Diane goes to Sonny's house and gives Max a warm kiss hello. She can tell something is bothering him, but he isn't at liberty to discuss it. Diane takes a stab at it by saying that she saw Sonny having drinks with a mysterious Russian woman. She assumes that Sonny is cheating on Kate, but Max tells her to leave it alone. She won't, of course, so Max says that Sasha works with a man named Karpov and Sonny swears that he's not doing anything to hurt Jason. As they talk, Sonny shows up. Diane asks him why he's joining forces with Jason's enemies. "Death wish, much?" she asks.
Diane meets with Jason and says he isn't out of the woods just yet because if Johnny does anything bad, it could be blamed on him! They talk about Logan's murder case and he says Lulu could be behind everything. She wants to go after Lulu but Jason tells her not to do anything against Lulu because he can't be responsible for Lulu going to jail. He says the cops have to keep thinking Lulu is Johnny's hostage. Diane calls him a difficult client and wonders how she can get him released. She leaves.
At Metro, Sonny meets with Karpov's handler, Sasha. He says he will only give advice, he won't get back into the mob life. He says Karpov can't go against Sonny's old organization either! He goes on about the meetings and the important people he can introduce Karpov to. She asks why Sonny is acting as a facilitator instead of a leader. Diane arrives and wonders about the connection between the two. Sonny walks away. Diane questions the woman about her business dealings but she is more interested in talking about Sonny and Claudia. Diane asks a few more questions and learns that the woman's business is coffee.
Diane returns to the jail to see Jason. She can't stop talking about Sonny and the new woman; she believes Sonny is having an affair! She is worried how this will hurt Kate. Jason says she is overreacting. She says Sonny was meeting with Sasha Donev; neither has heard of her. Kate says there is no way the woman is a coffee connoisseur. She tells him about Sonny's altercation with Anthony and he orders her to call Max. She is still worried about the other woman but Jason won't comment.
Detective Harper and Lucky drag Jason, who had just arrived, into the interrogation room and ask if he showed up to help Johnny escape by bringing him the gun. Diane shows up and kicks the detective out of the room. Once alone, Jason tells Diane everything that he knows about Logan's death and that he came to the PCPD to try to help out, but he didn't give Johnny a gun.
Clarisse pays Crimson a visit. She thanks Kate for bringing her on from Couture and covers for Maxie and Lulu by saying they are running errands already. Diane shows up, welcomes Clarisse into the fold and then asks to speak with Kate alone. Instead of asking for fashion samples, Diane says that she has come with some unsolicited advice. "You are handling your fiancé all wrong," she offers Kate. She points out how strong Sonny's ego is and reminds her how a so-called public affair with Jax is not a great idea.
Max, then Diane, show up to wait in Sonny's den. Sonny returns and reminds Max that he has to talk to Jason before he comes back here. Max leaves and then Diane puts her papers aside and starts talking about the fact that independent women like Kate (and herself) will never cater to a man's mood swings. She advises him to reconsider his marriage, and then leaves.
Over at the Jack's household, however, Jax has just promised Carly that he'll do his work with Kate via the telephone from now on. When his cell rings, he takes the call and then listens as Kate asks him to come right over to talk. Carly glares at him as she hears him agree to meet her. After he leaves, Diane shows up with some legal papers for Jax. Carly gets on her case for working for both Jax and Kate and accuses her of siding with Kate because of her love of fashion. Diane assures her that she can keep all sides separate and tells Carly that she's just upset because her efforts to promote a scandal turned out to be great for Crimson business. She explains that Kate and Jax are all the buzz and leaves while laughing all the way down the walk.
After Carly slithers out of Kate's office, Sonny tries to explain that Carly is self-destructing. Kate says that she's worried about him, not Carly. She says that she trusts him, but he needs to disengage from Carly for his own sake. Sonny says it sounds like a plan, but Carly never quits. As they talk, Diane arrives with the pre-nup to sign. She marvels at the internet buzz about how hot Kate and Crimson are at the moment and Kate can't believe her ears.
Diane meets Alexis in court and says she won’t get away with this. She says she is going to call in experts who will testify that Patrick should have access to the child even before the baby is born! As they are arguing Robin walks in. Robin tells them to stop fighting as Patrick comes in. Alexis tells Patrick that Diane is going to ruin things for Robin. Both of them want the case to be fought cleanly and worry that Diane and Alexis will fight dirty. Anna arrives and throws a wrench in the works - she says she won’t testify for either side! The hearing begins. Anna whispers to Patrick that she is sorry; he says he understands. Noah arrives and says he can’t testify either. Alexis is disappointed but Robin understands. She asks Alexis if they can stop the hearing but the judge arrives just then. Patrick takes the stand. He admits he didn’t want kids but says now that there is a child he can’t ignore it. He says Robin can trust him to stand by her. She listens. “Turns out, this is the most important thing in the world to me,” he says. Robin cries. She stands up and tells the judge that she is wasting everyone’s time. “You can see me and the baby any time you want,” she says. After court, Alexis and Diane congratulate one another. Anna tells Robin to go talk to Patrick. Noah tells Patrick that he is a good man. Robin goes to him and tells him she loves him. Anna receives a call from Eli, who is headed to town. She is nervous that he’ll find out she’s going to be a granny.
