Diane Gives Spinelli a Pep Talk.

Diane walks in and assumes that Alexis is talking to Sonny about letting Max see her. Sonny is offended that all she can think about is sex with his bodyguard when so much is going on in his life. She reminds him that Max is no longer his bodyguard and assures them that she can do her job without acting like a love-struck school girl. Alexis whispers to Diane that she's making a big mistake and Diane finally figures out that she is jealous. "A little," Alexis admits as Sonny looks on with disgust.

Later, Spinelli bursts into Sonny's office looking for Stone Cold, but he only finds Diane. She offers her services and he sheepishly asks if he can ask her about women? Diane is only too happy to oblige. In their unique round-about language, she encourages him to seize the day and go for the target of his affections. Fully puffed up with testosterone, Spinelli explodes out the door.

A Revolving Door at Dr. Devlin's.

Diane has called Alexis over to Sonny's office. When she arrives, Diane promptly tells her that she is to tell Sonny that her freak-out after their one-nighter wasn't common for all attorneys. Alexis is furious that Sonny talked about her with Diane. She says that for the record, she freaked out before she had a one-nighter. Then she asks Diane why she would talk to Sonny about such a thing and learns that he has forbidden Max and Diane from being together. As Diane's new best friend, Alexis wants her to use her as an example of what kind of men not to sleep with. What she doesn't know is that Ric has come in and heard her.

Alexis quickly tells him that it's girl talk that's all. He shakes it off and says that he's looking for Sonny to tell him that he is now Anthony Zacchara's lawyer. Alexis reminds him that his new client ran a sword through him at the B&W ball. Sonny comes in and asks if he called meeting? Ric tells him about his new arrangement with Anthony and Sonny quickly gathers that this has something to do with going after Trevor.

Plans are Set in Motion.

Kate takes her leave and Diane tells Sonny that he needs to stop seeing Kate because the fashion world can't afford to lose her. He asks who she is to give relationship advice!?! When she reminds him that she is his attorney, he tells her that she should stop sleeping with his body guard then. He calls Max in and Diane tells him to tell Sonny that his assumptions are unfounded. Max, who struggles but ultimately can't lie to his boss, says that it was the best sex of his life. "Likewise I am very, very sure," Diane comments and adds, but it's none of Sonny's business! Diane tells Sonny that there is no conflict of interest, but Sonny turns and forbids Max to see Diane ever again. As they leave, Diane yells at Sonny for being misogynistic and motions for Max to call her.

A Few Surprises Today.

Before long, Diane arrives to congratulate Kate on her new space. One thing leads to another and soon Diane is the breathless owner of a fabulous new pair of designer shoes from Kate's sample pile. She asks Kate not to tell Alexis, but Alexis walks in! Kate motions for her to go select something and of course, she picks a $645 pair of shoes that Diane had her eye on. As only two top litigators can do, they briskly iron out a deal swap and on the count of three. Kate is annoyed with how childishly they are acting.

Several Get Lucky Tonight.

Diane arrives and makes a beeline for Max, but Alexis steps in her way. Diane tells her that she can either let her go or she'll grab her by the hairpiece and they can throw down. Alexis releases her grip and Diane joins Max at the roulette table. Jerry offers to take Alexis for a walk around the deck so she doesn't have to watch.

Diane and Max have taken a seat at a little bistro table in the corner. They can't keep their hands off each other and aren't worried because they think that Sonny has left. Nearby, Alexis drops a chip that she thinks is worth $5, but Jerry tells her it's $5000. She quickly ducks under a table to retrieve it and Jerry follows. Before long, they're making out too!

Nervous Zaccharas.

Alexis has just barged into Sonny's living room and found Max and Diane in a compromising position. Alexis tells Diane that she is sleeping with a thug! Max informs her that he is a body guard, so Alexis corrects herself and calls him a "the minion of a thug." Diane tells Alexis not to belittle Max! She tells Alexis that she didn't sleep with Max because he's a bad boy. She lists his attributes and Max puffs up with pride as he ties his tie. Alexis tells Diane that Max is never going to love anyone but Carly! Max manages to change the subject and Alexis finally leaves. Max thanks Diane for defending him and she tells him it was her pleasure. They sheepishly collect their clothing and before she leaves she promises to call him.

Plenty of Blame to Go Around.

Diane goes out to Sonny's house and finds Max there drinking. He pours her a drink and says that he should've shadowed Sonny no matter what his orders were. Diane tells him that he's a sweet and wonderful man, but he's an idiot. She tells him that he is not to blame for the shooting, and he says that she probably feels guilty too. Diane lists all the legal maneuvering that she's done for Sonny and says that she has a closet full of designer shoes, but has no blood on her hands. She has tears brimming in her eyes and to cover her vulnerability she tells Max to shut up and then plants a big kiss on him. Not long after, Alexis pushes into Sonny's study and screams in horror as she finds 4 bare legs and arms coming out from beneath a blanket. Diane and Max end up screaming too.
