As Leo is in the lounge putting his shirt back on after his exam, Kelly finds him and asks how it went. He says that he won't get into the OR any time soon. Kelly closes the door behind her and tells him that he needs some cardio, and then moves in for a juicy kiss.
Carly walks in to Jerry's hotel room and is shocked to see him! Jerry is making out with Dr. Lee on the hotel room floor! Dr. Lee gets dressed and hurriedly leaves. Alone, Carly tells Jerry that he has to get Jason out of jail - now! "Are you prepared to deliver on your part of the bargain?" he asks. Carly assures him that she will do anything to help him get into PC society as long as he helps Jason first!
Patrick and Robin are worried because Noah hasn't shown up for work. He walks in, happy, worrying them even more. Epiphany walks by with several nurses who are enthralled by the similarities between Noah and Eli. They leave. Noah tells them not to worry because he has everything under control. They talk about the night before and Robin tries to find out just what happened between Noah and her mother. He skirts the issue. Kelly arrives and pulls Robin away. Noah tells Patrick that Anna is really good at teaching him how to be Eli. He leaves. Epiphany walks back in with the nurses, telling them to go observe with Dr. Hughes. The nurses leave as Liz walks in. She tells Epiphany her fears about testifying at Jason's trial. Epiphany tells Liz not to lie, not matter what but Elizabeth is worried that the truth will be twisted to hurt Jason. Sam walks in, with a wrapped wrist, for help. She tells Epiphany she needs help now because she has to testify the next day. Elizabeth listens. When Epiphany steps away, she questions how Sam hurt herself and they begin arguing over Jason. Epiphany returns and Sam leaves. Instead of comforting Liz, Epiphany tells her that she understands how Sam feels and warns her that she - and Jason - better watch out. "There is nothing more dangerous than a woman scorned," Epiphany says.
Across the room, Kelly asks Robin what she needs to know about Carly Corinthos! She tells her about Carly finding her with Jerry Jacks, abhorred because she didn't realize who Jerry was when she met him in the bar. Patrick comes over when Kelly leaves. Robin wonders about the relationship between Anna and Noah. Patrick tells her there is too much other stuff going on for them to be getting romantic. Noah walks back in, talking to Anna and setting up a date for dinner later that night. Patrick tells Robin not to worry, it is only a working dinner. Noah hangs up. "Are you sleeping with my mother?" Robin asks.
At the hospital, Sam meets with Dr. Lee about the test results. She tells Sam that having a baby will be more difficult than they originally thought! It turns out her eggs aren't as viable as the doctors originally thought and there is only a 10% chance that she will be able to have a biological child. "You can't offer me any other hope?" Sam asks. Dr. Lee suggests adoption but Sam doesn't want to hear it. Sam goes to work. Amelia sees how upset she is and asks what is wrong. Sam tells her, worried that Jason won't want an adopted child now that Elizabeth has given him a biological child. She is worried that Jason will never need her again and angry that she will never have a child. Amelia tries to be supportive, reminding her that she does have Jason, but Sam isn't so sure. They move to the set and Sam begins to prepare for her interview. The woman she is interviewing talks about wanting another baby and almost hating women who have babies. Sam understands how she feels. Interview over, the mother begins to cry and Sam comforts her. Amelia sends Wes after the mom but Sam tells them to leave her alone. Wes leaves and Amelia again offers her sympathy to Sam. "Sometimes I wish that Jake didn't exist," Sam says.
At the hospital, Liz talks with Epiphany and Kelly about Jack. She shows the group pictures of Jake. Epiphany gives her a job: to get Jolene, a new nurse, up and running on a new computer program. She and Jolene talk about Jake for a moment. Emily arrives. Liz asks if she has seen Jason, worried that he is withdrawing from his own defense! Emily is also worried about Jason and both wonder what has caused the change in him. Lucky arrives and asks to see Liz alone. He confronts her about meeting Jason. Emotionally, Liz tells him that she can't leave her friend alone. Lucky obviously wants to believe that is all that is going on but he is still worried that Liz isn't being completely honest with him. She asks Lucky to come with her and the boys to the park but he can't because of work.
The group at Jake's are pouring tequila shots and talking about babies. Robin admits that she loves holding and smelling them. She says that she always wanted to be a mother until she learned that she was HIV positive. She says that things have changed and now she can consider it. Someday -- but not now. So "everybody" can relax she says in Patrick's general direction. Patrick tells everyone that he's selfish, or too much of a kid himself, but he doesn't want to be a dad. Kelly slurs that Robin can choose be a mother all on her own - thanks to the advances in her own profession! Stan pipes up that a mother raising a child on her own isn't easy. Robin makes a toast Uncle Mac - who raised her single handedly. Patrick says that he was raised by his dad who focused on work only and they all had a good laugh because now Patrick has turned out the same way. They ask Coleman who raised him and he said that he had 5 daddies. Lainey asks Stan what it was like to be raised by Epiphany. He says that he loves his mama, but he knows that a father would've made a huge difference for him. Lainey says it's unfair for a woman to give up being a mother just because she's with a guy who doesn't want children. Stan says that if they listened to his mother he'd be dating Lainey. They all have a good laugh at that one and keep on pouring toasts. Robin walks over to Patrick's side of the bar and puts her arm around him. He recalls how "Sweet Little Miss Scorpio" changed his mind about commitments, but it stops there. Lainey tells them that she is hailing them a cap so that they can continue their conversation at home, and then she pushes them out the door.
Lainey and Kelly run into Robin in the doctor's lounge. They ask her why she would talk about babies in front of a man who is petrified of commitment? Lainey says that she saw a look of sheer terror on Patrick's face. Robin says that she saw it too, and Patrick is probably on his way to Vegas by now. Kelly says that she gets enough of babies at work and is the rare woman who doesn't want children. She tells the girls to sign out and put on some lipstick because they have someplace to be.
Patrick has bellied up to Jake's bar and is joined by Stan. They immediately start to complain about women and motherhood in general. Coleman pours a shot on the house. Patrick and Stan don't get why woman can't just be in love without diapers and cul de sacs. Stan says that women are like a computer virus. They attract, open and destroy. Patrick tells Stan that he never wants to be a dad and then turns to see that Robin and the girls have just arrived. Robin tells them to carry on with their conversation. Patrick says that they were just saying that all men aren't cut out to be fathers, that's all. Lainey asks Coleman for some tequila. All five of them pour a shot and Robin makes a toast "To having the freedom to be how you truly are." They all drink to that. Lee tells Patrick not to assume that all women want kids because she doesn't. She says that when she sees her future there's not a baby in it. Stan says that most women are just like Robin, waiting to convert her man into a dad. (Patrick snorts tequila out of his nose over this one.)
Sam goes to the hospital to talk with Dr. Lee about her options for having a child via a surrogate. Later, she goes to Sonny's office to apologize to Jason for over reacting during their argument. Jason tells her that he thinks about her inability to a baby every day and it's all because of him. She tells him that she needs to focus on what she does have, or what she can have. Jason says that he'll do anything to help her and she says that she just wants him to stay honest with his feelings. They exchange "I love yous" and hug.
