The Heat Is On.

Ric goes to the set of "Everyday Heroes" to question Amelia about the kidnapping. Amelia tells him that he's fishing for dirt on Sam and just because she lost a baby doesn't make her a kidnapper. He asks if Sam has an alibi and Amelia says that Sam was at the studio when Jake was nabbed.

Sam has sobered up a bit and gone to the studio. Amelia tells her that it can't happen again, but it's a good thing she hasn't been around today. She says that Ric came by and she ended up lying to him and giving her an alibi. Sam thanks her and says that Ric would do anything to get her in trouble. Amelia tells Sam and Wes to prepare for tomorrow's taping and then leaves to "take care of a few things."

Amelia goes to see Sonny. She asks if the parameters of their "arrangement" have been altered since she shared her motives for working with Sam. No further words were spoken as they proceeded to peal their clothes off and ravage each other. Kate comes into the coffee shop and hears their murmuring through his office door. She sadly flicks Sonny's lighter as she hangs out, alone.

Tracey Is Committed!

At the Metro Court, Amelia asks Sam point blank if she kidnapped Jake. "What if I did?" Sam asks. A little drunk, she asks if Amelia would cover for her if she was involved. The news doesn't make Sam feel better, it only makes her worry more because she isn't sure why Amelia is being so nice to her.

Amelia arrives at the jail to see Jason. Ric gets to her before she goes inside, wondering what she needs to talk to Jason about. She fudges, telling him that she is trying to protect Sam from Jason's influence. Ric doesn't buy it. Seeing a possible ally, Amelia follows Ric when he tries to leave.

Did Sam Do It?

Sam shows up for work and Amelia tells her that she should go admit to Jason that she knows about the baby so that she can support him. Sam is confused by suddenly Amelia wants her and Jason to be close. Amelia explains that either Sam should break up with Jason or get close to him again, but she needs to stop having so many personal problems so she can focus on being the star of her own show. Sam says that as "the star" she's taking the day off and then leaves in a huff.

Carly finds Sam drinking directly from the bottle at the Metro Court bar. Carly snipes that Jason is sitting in jail and she's out in public getting drunk before noon. Carly tries to take the bottle away, but Sam gets ugly. She blurts out that Carly's wedding vows were a lie because she really loves Jason, and Jax only married her to one-up Sonny. Carly calmly tells Sam to get out of there, and stop taking a free ride from Jason while she's at it. Sam slurs that Jason doesn't need Carly or even her now that he has…before she can say more Amelia shows up and interrupts. Carly tells Amelia to keep Sam in line, and then leaves. Sam mumbles about Jake being gone and Amelia tells her that she needs to come clean if she knows anything about that baby's disappearance!

Fatherhood Isn't Easy.

Amelia and Sam are on the set talking about the kidnapping. Amelia tells Sam that maybe the old saying about being careful what you wish for is true! Sam doesn't want to hear her "crap". Amelia clarifies that she was only trying to make Sam NOT feel guilty for wishing Jake was gone - it's only natural given the circumstances. But that doesn't mean she had anything to do with Jake's disappearance. Then Amelia suggests that Sam take the day off so she can be with Jason. Sam says that if she shows up to see Jason she'd have to admit that she knows he is a father! She makes Amelia promise that no one can ever know that she knows and Amelia says that she'll keep her secret.

Amelia tells Wes that they should cancel the diving shoot in case Sam isn't able to show up for work next week. Wes says that would be foolish and that baby could be found by then. Amelia says that they should prepare for Sam never being the same again.

Everyone Has a Theory.

Amelia arrives on the set of "Everyday Heroes" and Wes, her assistant, gets on her case for being late. Turns out that Sam is late too and Wes is cranky about their shooting schedule. When Sam arrives out of breath, she apologizes for being late. Amelia says that she just arrived, too, and they both ask where the other was. Sam says that she took a walk in the park and decided that she needs to help Jason face his charges. Amelia agrees to lighten her shooting schedule and will try to think of a PR spin to help avert media attention. As for her, Amelia says that she has a personal life and doesn't want to say where she was. Sam says that she has dumped her entire life on Amelia's lap and if there's ever anything that Amelia wants to tell her, it's her turn to listen. Amelia isn't willing to share girl talk and steers Sam to get back to work.
