Sam has called Amelia over to propose a new slant on their crisis storytelling for "Everyday Heroes". She wants to recreate the actual disaster scenario instead of just talking about it. Amelia loves the idea and says that they'll get a great reaction on their press tour. Press tour? Sam says that she can't go away right now. Amelia offers to do whatever she can to help Sam keep her private life intact.
Sam and Amelia are in the limo on their way to their press event in NYC. Sam expresses her feelings about being a "product". Amelia tells her that the camera loves her and she believes in her. Sam doesn't understand why Amelia would take a risk a build an entire show around an unknown. Amelia tells her that it's a little late to back out. Sam isn't trying to back out, but explains that she is used to being a private person and has jitters about being in the spotlight. Amelia asks if Sam has ever pretended to be someone she's not? If not, she should try it until she gets used to it. The car stops and the paparazzi is waiting. Amelia tells her to smile, wave and pretend that she can't hear any questions.
Amelia is riding in the limo with her assistant who has been researching the women who look like Sam. He hands over more photos and says that this woman has swindled 3 men out of all their money. Amelia wants the information under lock and key.
Jason opens the door to find Amelia, again, on his doorstep. Sam invites her inside and Amelia explains that she needs to prep Sam a little more before her press conference. Amelia tells Jason that he could come along, but he has a reputation for being camera shy...and with good reason! He leaves and Amelia apologizes for ruffling Jason's feathers. She says that she knows about Jason's "alleged line of work." Sam stares her in the face and proclaims that Jason is a coffee importer. Amelia changes the subject but continues her probing. She says that Jason is "strong, gorgeous and loaded." Sam says that she isn't with Jason for the money and Amelia tells her that "Everyday Heroes" will pay her enough so that she never has to depend on a man.
Sam's press conference is in full swing and she is glowing as she announces the new TV show that she will be hosting. Behind the scenes, one of the staffers shows Amelia a picture that he was able to track down of Susan Curtis, just like she asked him to do. They agree that she is a dead ringer for Sam.
Amelia and her staff come by Jason and Sam's penthouse and starts talking about their first "Everyday Heroes" segment. The makeup artist starts to apply eyeliner to Jason for a segment about Sam's "home front" and Sam has a hissy fit. She tells them that her personal life and Jason are off limits for the TV show. After Jason gets the heck out of there, the staff starts working on wardrobe and makeup and Sam wonders how a plunging neckline on a dress correlates to an "everyday hero". Amelia weaves a tale about how the people are going to have to like what they see -- the women need to want to be her, the men need to want her. Amelia tells Sam that she is in the position to really help people, but "they've got to tune in before they can learn anything." Amelia says that they will do shows about fire safety, earthquakes and maybe some kind of women's defense show. She says that women need to know how to defend themselves "without committing murder". Sam starts hearing voices in her head of a scene from her past and excuses herself for some air. Amelia watches her on the terrace and smiles with content.
Sam goes for coffee at Kelly's. As she sits at the counter, she calls the delivery company to try to trace the package that was delivered for Angela Monroe. She is put on hold, and a woman comes up to her and asks for her autograph! It turns out that her daughter signed up for CPR classes all because of watching Sam on "Everyday Heroes." Sam is flattered. And, Amelia has just walked in with ratings results. Turns out that Sam was a hit! Again, Sam is flattered, but she wants no part of a job on TV.
Sam meets Amelia at Kelly's. Apparently the "Everyday Heroes" TV segment was a big hit and Amelia offers to buy Sam dinner. Sam declines and says that her 15 minutes of fame are over, then leaves.
Jax and Amelia come into Jakes just in time to see Carly and Sonny dancing (if that's what you want to call standing with your lips an inch apart). Carly pulls apart from Sonny, but Jax announces that they should carry on, he and Amelia will be sitting as far away from them as possible. Sonny sends complimentary cocktails over to their table, and then he and Carly continue their pool game. From his table, Jax tries to carry on conversation and Amelia says that she knows that she is supposed to be making Carly jealous. So, she cozies up to Jax and plays along. "In the meantime, maybe you could answer a few questions about Sam." Jax agrees to talk about Samwhile they dance. Carly is trying to play pool but she can't keep her eyes off of the dance floor. Sonny pours on the charm and Carly decides to call for help.
The "tango" continues at Jake's. Amelia and Jax have finished their dance, and Amelia says that he's quite a gentleman in view of the fact that he won't talk about Sam with her. Meanwhile, Jason comes rushing in to rescue Carly. She you guessed it rambles for a while about her predicament and then Jason collects Sonny and Jax and tells them to give her some space. Sonny tells Carly goodbye. Then, and before she and Jax leave, Amelia tells Carly that Jax is a keeper. Jason and Carly talk for a while. She admits that Sonny has been able to bring up all her feelings for him. And she does love Jax, so she's stuck loving two men. "You're the only one who can fix it," Jason tells her that she simply has to pick who she wants and let the other person go.
