Sam wraps her show taping and everyone is thrilled with her performance. A call comes in for Sam and Amelia tells her that it's a lousy connection, and then hands over the phone. Sam's face falls as the voice on the phone claims to be her husband, Todd Sullivan. He tells her that it's time for her to pay. (From the other room we see that the caller is Amelia's assistant.)
Amelia is getting out of Sonny's bed so she can go to work. As she gets to the door she says, "Oh what the hell, we never start taping on time," as she peals her dress off and jumps back into bed with him. Later, she hurries to dress and give him a peck on the cheek. "Thanks for the memories," she says as she rushes off to work.
Sam is in her hair and makeup chair trying to undo the residual damage from last night's champagne. A network executive named Brandon Silverman appears and asks Sam if she knows where Amelia is. He's none too pleased that she blew off their meeting last night. As they talk about Sam's giant mass transit posters that are all over Manhattan, Amelia breezes in. She tells him that the network needs to buy her a new cell phone because hers wasn't working last night. She whisks Sam off to the side to see if he seems angry. Sam asks her why she has the same outfit on as last night? Amelia simply says that she got an offer that she couldn't refuse.
As Amelia, Sam and Brandon are talking about the next show topic, Diane delivers an injunction to Amelia. She tells them that Sonny is a private citizen and deserves to be left alone. Brandon whispers to Amelia that he always thought it was a bad idea to build a TV show around a gangster's mistress. Amelia says that Sam is NOT Sonny's mistress. Then she turns back to Diane and Sam and says that Sonny is a reasonable man and he'll reconsider. Amelia quickly takes the injunction and leaves. Diane says that the show can't premier while under an injunction and Brandon says that Sam was good "eye candy" but he'll have to cut his loses if they can't go on as scheduled. Sam is offended, but calls Jason to see if he can help in some way.
Amelia storms into Sonny's office and tells him that if he doesn't lift the injunction, she'll bury him. Sonny playfully says he had fun last night, but Amelia won't be derailed. He changes tactics and gets aggressive with her. He says that she can shoot her show with anyone, why does she need Sam unless she has an agenda. As he yells at her, Amelia tells him to shut up and then kisses him. He tells her to shut up and then pushes everything of his desk…except her.
From Sonny's hotel room, Amelia calls the front desk and asks what room Brandon Silverman is in. The hotel won't give that information out, so she tells Sonny that he'll call her cell eventually and starts to go back to her own room. Sonny asks her to stay for a drink because the person he's expecting is late. She asks what they are drinking to and he says, "Carly." As they are drinking, Amelia complains to Sonny about Sam. She's angry that they had to stop shooting the TV show early today so that she and Jason could attend her old lover's wedding. She asks if they all don't get tired of playing musical beds. Sonny doesn't answer her, but asks who Brandon is. Amelia explains that he's the network guy who sponsors "Everyday Heroes". Sonny asks why they would have a meeting in a guy's hotel room. Amelia tells him that is personal. "Are you going to go to the meeting or stay with me?" Sonny asks. Amelia asks for another drink and says that Brandon can wait. Sonny says that his guest can wait, too. Amelia stands up, gets really close to Sonny and says, "This never happened." And so the "one nighter" begins. Amelia and Sonny lustfully make their way to a chair and start to rip the clothes off their own backs. Sonny has Amelia's face pinched a little too tightly as he kisses her and every once in a while he opens his eyes to show a faraway, pained look. Later when they have finally made it to the bed, Sonny's "date", Eva, finally knocks on the door. He gives her a pile of bills and tells her it'll have to be another time. Then, Amelia tells him that they can never do this again because her being involved with a mobster won't go over well with the network. She asks if she can count on his discretion and when he tells her that she can, she comes back to bed and says that "it" can happen again then.
From a hotel room, Sonny orders a bottle of single malt scotch. He pulls a business card out of his wallet, calls someone and asks her to come up to room 917. A little later, he is chugging scotch as he answers the door. "Hello Amelia," he slurs.
Sonny calls the "Everyday Heroes" set for Sam and learns that Sam is shooting out of town today. He insists that someone get on the phone who can reach her. Amelia refuses to come to the phone and says that Sonny doesn't scare her. A little later, Sonny comes to the set and asks, again, where Sam is. Amelia says that she thinks it's best if Sam stays gone. Sonny explains that Jason has always loved and supported Sam, so why is he so bad for her? Amelia says that a gangster boyfriend is the last thing a young TV star needs. When Sonny finds out that Amelia told Jason that, he gets angry.
Amelia and Sam have arrived for a new day of shooting "Everyday Hero" segments. When Sam learns that they are to shoot a car crash scene today, Sam asks if they can shoot it a different day. She explains that Jason has taken off on his bike and she doesn't want to jinx him. Amelia isn't pleased and they start to argue. Sam threatens to quit if Amelia won't cut her a break regarding her boyfriend. Amelia strongly suggests that Sam, "Quit Jason instead." She says that Jason is a liability to the show and points out that Sam has an amazing opportunity and maybe it's time that she re-evaluated her priorities. Sam says that if pushed, she'll choose Jason. "I'm sorry that you don't think better of yourself," Amelia says. Sam says that she doesn't appreciate Amelia implying that Jason isn't good for her career.
Sam and Jason are fighting off Alcazar's hit men and Sam ends up shooting one of them. Amelia is scared out of her mind as she calls 911.
