Sam Learns the Truth.

Kate Howard has barged into Sonny's office and interrupted a make-out session between Sonny and Amelia. She and Amelia recognize each other and Amelia says that neither of them wants to be caught in a mobster's office. She buttons up her blouse and leaves. Kate tells Sonny that she left her flash drive and he probably stole it so that she would come back. He threatens to keep her property if she's not nice to him. He dangles the flash drive in front of her and says that he'll give it back, under one condition - that she go for a walk with him. She gives in and he gives her a little walking tour of Port Charles. He admits that he came to town to run a strip joint. She scoffs at that and he points out that runway models and strippers aren't all that different. Then, he asks if she recognized him when she pushed into his office the other night. She says that his dimples gave him away, but she was determined not to let on that they knew each other. He tells her that she left the flash drive because she was flustered. They reminisce about old times and she holds firm to her belief that her new life is better than her old one.

Sam bellies up to the Metro Court bar and asks for a "double anything…and keep 'em comin'." Amelia finds her there and asks what she's celebrating. Sam tells her that she's toasting Jason's new son with Elizabeth and trying to figure out what to do with her newfound information. Amelia gets a drink and they walk over to a table. Sam explains how it happened that she and Jason were broken up last summer and he had a one-nighter with Liz.

Sam is angrily ranting to Amelia about how Jason never wanted a child with her. Just then Jason arrives to retrieve her. She stands up and says, "There's MY Jason - the one man in my life that I've trusted."

Liz Wakes Up.

Amelia and Sam are elated on their flight back to Port Charles because they had a very successful business trip and are confident that "Everyday Heroes" is going to be a big hit. Amelia asks Sam if she's ready to accept that Jason "has to go." Amelia says that Sam can't be involved with a guy in organized crime and she's getting pressure from the network. She says there are other shows in line waiting to fill their spot; they can't afford whatever it is that Jason will bring down on them next. Sam says that she loves Jason, and Amelia tells her that she's starting a whole new life.

After Amelia and Sam arrive in Port Charles, Amelia tags along with Sam to Sonny's office to look for Jason. Sonny says that Jason's doing some business, but then fills her in on what's going on with Elizabeth at the hospital. Sam leaves for the hospital and Amelia stays behind. She unbuttons her blouse and tells him that she wants to celebrate her hit show. He immediately kisses her and starts pealing off his clothes. He has her bent over flat on his desk when Kate Howard barges in and asks if she's interrupting.

Sam is at the penthouse digging in her heels with Amelia. She insists that she wants to wait to fly to NY until morning because she wants to see Jason when he comes home from work. Amelia says that she'll have to pull rank to get her on that plane. Sam asks her if she's going to blackmail her and tell Jason about the guy from her past. Amelia gets defensive and says that she's not her enemy! She goes on to say that when Sam got involved with a guy like Jason, she signed up for sleepless nights. Then she changes tactics and asks Sam if she's using Jason as an excuse not to enjoy success. Sam doesn't like being analyzed. Amelia says that being a part of someone else's life isn't enough; you've got to make your own life. In fact it's too much pressure to put on the other person, she says. Before long, Amelia is able to manipulate Sam into believing that her career is important to her well being, so she picks up her luggage and off they go to the airport.

Lights Out.

Amelia pushes past Milo to get into Sonny's office. She insists that he sign a waiver on the injunction so that she can go forward with "Everyday Heroes". Sonny says that he doesn't like to see something about himself every time he opens the newspaper. Amelia tells him to sue the newspapers then, don't shut down her show. They both stand their ground, but the move closer and closer to each other to do so. As Amelia tries to convince him that her show will go on, all Sonny can do is watch her mouth as she speaks. After she leaves, he calls Diane and tells her to come over no matter how hard it's raining. Then, Ric comes in and tells him about the conversation he just had with Skye. He tells his big brother that Alcazar is the guy who ordered the cellar hit on him and Jason. Sonny says that Ric would simply prosecute Alcazar if it was that simple, but instead he wants Sonny to do the dirty work. He asks Ric what Alcazar is holding over his head.

Amelia goes to the penthouse and tells Sam that Sonny signed the waiver and they can go tape their segment. "By this time next week you're going to be a star!" she tells Sam to pack her bag because they have a plane to catch. Sam stalls and then admits that Jason is "working" tonight and she'd rather fly out in the morning. Amelia tells her not to throw her career away just so she can be a mobster's cheerleader. Sam packs her bags, but then tells Amelia that she really wants to stay in Port Charles tonight.

Thunder. Lightning. And Sonny.

Sam is being blackmailed by who she thinks is her former husband, Todd Sullivan. She agrees to do the best she can, hangs up, and then tells Amelia, "I need $500,000 in thirty minutes or we don't have a show." Amelia asks her to explain and Sam admits that years ago she married a guy, lived with him for six months, cleaned his bank account and she thought that she covered her tracks. Then she says that all of the show's publicity probably helped him to find her and he threatened to go the police or the press if she doesn't come forward with the money ASAP. Amelia tells her to go to Jason for the money. Sam says that she doesn't want Jason to know because he has already forgiven her for so much. Amelia reminds her that Jason is a gangster and all she did was steal a little money. Sam says that it's the lie that Jason would have a problem with. Sam says he can't find out that she was a con artist who played rich older men…the phone rings before she can finish. This time, Amelia grabs it. She tells the voice at the other end of the phone (who is just her assistant) that she will send $300k and not a penny more. BUT he is to go away and never come back. After Amelia assertively hangs up the phone, Sam is grateful but worries about the money. Amelia says that she'll take it from the production budget and it falls under the category of "Protecting my star."

Nikolas is down to five hours.

Amelia and Sam are starting a new day at work. Amelia gives her the usual pep talk and sends her to the stage for a rehearsal. Then she shows her assistant a photo of Sam when she was married to a guy named Todd Sullivan. She explains that Sam cleaned out all of his bank accounts, too. Before long, Brandon the network executive comes in and comments that the injunction must be lifted, right? He reminds Amelia that he doesn't want any problems with the FCC. Then he pulls Amelia aside and asks what the old pictures of Sam are all about. Amelia says that Sam's test numbers are terrific in spite of the rumors that will undoubtedly surface once people start to recognize her from her past. By that point, they'll have a hit on their hands. "Trust me, I can take trash and turn it into gold," Amelia purrs.
