Spinelli falls asleep on the sofa and is awakened by a call from Maxie. She tells him that she thought she was having a strange dream, but she woke up and found a present. He says that he has one too. Together, they open their gifts and find a framed photo of themselves with Santa. They wish each other a Merry Christmas and then wish all of the TV viewers a Merry Christmas, too.
Things are Looking Up.
When he gets there, he tells Spinelli about Sasha and tells him to search a place that sounds like "White Rocks" because that's what he thinks Sasha told him. Spinelli quickly finds a quarry in the area that used to be known for producing white granite. They print out a map and take off!
Jerry Dabbles in a Different Kind of Bomb.
A snotty customer is treating Johnny like a dog, as he chooses his Christmas tree and talks on his cell phone at the same time. Lulu and Maxie try to slip away so that Johnny doesn't feel humiliated in front of them, but they run into Spinelli. He says that he wants a tree for Stone Cold's house and promptly buys the one that Maxie chooses. Lulu stays behind and assures Johnny that he'll find a better job after the holidays.
Maxie bursts in with a gift for Spinelli. She knows how busy they are, but plants a little kiss on Spinelli and wishes his friend 'Scrooge' a Merry Christmas before she waltzes out the door. Spinelli goes into a dreamy love-filled haze when he opens the box and finds a Superman ornament for his tree. Jason gives him a moment to swoon, and then tells him to get back to work.
Same Time Last Year?
Spinelli is upset when he finally figures out that Maxie is having carnal knowledge of someone else in her new bedroom. Lulu says that Maxie is just trying to prove a point and drags Spinelli down the hall and into Maxie's room. Once they burst through the door, they find Maxie moaning and slamming her hands against the wall. Lulu tells her that she's being insensitive to Spinelli and then leaves. Spinelli sadly tells Maxie that she didn't 'take her pleasure' as exuberantly with him as she just did with the wall. Maxie assures him that she was faking it, that's all. She clarifies that she faked it with the wall, not him, and says that their sex was wonderful but they can't do it again. She says that he made her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, but she used him and won't do it again.
Alexis Impresses Her Daughter.
Spinelli informs Jason that he will never abandon him and suggests that Jason turn to Sonny for help in retaliating against the Russians. As they talk, files are being transferred from Spinelli's laptop unbeknownst to them. Jason says that he can't trust Sonny anymore because he's not been thinking clearly since Michael was shot.
Maxie embarrasses herself by barging into Lulu's room and finds that no one was having sex, Lulu and Johnny were simply moving furniture around. Maxie decides that it's time to lay out the ground rules regarding sharing the apartment. They talk about shelves in the fridge, not sharing clothes and that Johnny needs to fork over a third of the rent. Lulu protests, but Maxie insists. Johnny offers to take them out for Chinese food, but Maxie says she wants rent money instead. When they return, there's giggling and moaning coming from Maxie's room. Lulu is furious that Maxie would use Spinelli to prove a point, but then Spinelli walks in the front door.
The Jackal Will Not Abandon Stone Cold!
Lulu suggests that Johnny move in with she, Spinelli and Maxie but Spinelli isn't sure that is a good idea. He says Maxie needs more privacy; she says she is fine with Johnny moving in. Spinelli points out that Johnny has the Zacchara fortune but Johnny says he left that behind. Lulu leads Johnny to her bedroom and Maxie asks Spinelli to help her measure the mantle. She says Johnny is spoken for and doesn't matter. They finish measuring and Spinelli points out that even though her bedroom is smaller than Lulu's, she has the better view. He mentions Mac and Maxie says it was time to move out. They hear Lulu and Johnny making love and both become uncomfortable. Spinelli suggests they go for coffee but Maxie wants to finish decorating. Spinelli can't take it and leaves.
Jason goes to the condo and takes his frustrations out on a heavy bag. Carly arrives and asks what is wrong and offers to help. He tells her about the secret meetings with Elizabeth but says that is over because Liz was targeted by the Russians. He tells her everything and says, "Nobody is safe. Nobody." Carly hugs him. Spinelli arrives a while later, rambling about Maxie and Lulu. Jason interrupts and tells Spinelli he has to find out how the Russians are getting their money into the country. Spinelli gets to work and Jason suggests that Spinelli move out – for his safety! "The Jackal cannot abandon Stone Cole to the forces of evil," he says. Jason says he is worried about Spinelli; neither notices that someone is copying Spinelli's computer files!
On The Same Page?
Lulu and Maxie are over at their new apartment arguing. Maxie tells Lulu to do the cleaning and she'll be the interior designer. Then she puts dibs on the bigger bedroom because her designer clothes deserve the big closet. Lulu says that she's the only person with a boyfriend so she gets the big room. Spinelli knocks at the door and they pull him in and ask him to decide. He is too stunned to learn about their new status as roommates to think for a moment, but then offers to facilitate as they come to domestic decisions.
