Separated at Birth?

Friday, January 02 2009

On his way back to Jason's penthouse, Spinelli has a conversation with his laptop. He promises to make the firewalls stronger so they can rise from the ashes together. The female computer geek watches from behind the bushes, but soon Maxie busts her and asks why she's spying on her friend.

Happy New Year?

Tuesday, December 30 2008

Maxie beckons Spinelli to meet her at The Metro Court because the power has gone off and her computer won't turn on. She tells him that her life depends on him! She tells him that her very first article is finally ready for the printer and she can't miss her deadline. Spinelli tells her that even he can't create electricity. Maxie admits that after Robin's wedding, she felt the urge to show the world a little about how unique she can be and this article is her first chance. Spinelli finally hacks into the Crimson files and learns that her article has perished. He tells her that she has plenty of more articles waiting to burst out on the page and her talent is limitless. She thinks that the lost article was the best she had. Spinelli tells her how Shakespeare wrote Romeo & Juliet by hand and then the manuscript was eaten by a dog so he had to do it all again. "If Shakespeare can rewrite an entire play, a new article is well within your reach," Spinelli urges. Maxie tells him that he makes her want to be better. She points out that the clock on the bank tower is almost at midnight and tells him that there's no one she'd rather ring in the New Year with. As the clock turns to twelve, Maxie turns her face to his, but he sneezes. She hands him a tissue and snuggles up to him.

A Marriage, a Birthday and Pending Doom.

Monday, December 29 2008

The reception gets underway. Maxie bemoans how Robin now has the perfect life, but assures Spinelli that she hasn't wanted the traditional stuff since she was about six. Patrick dances with Anna, Robin dances with Robert, and just as Spinelli is getting ready to ask Maxie to dance, Matt does. She hands Spinelli her glass and gives Matt a whirl.

While waiting, Spinelli fantasizes about singing "They Can't Take That Away From Me" to Maxie as he leads her in an equally romantic soft-shoe dance. His voice is spot-on as he sings about 'the way she holds her hat' and 'the way she sips her tea'.

Robin's Big Day Finally Arrives.

Friday, December 26 2008

Jason goes home and finds Spinelli asleep on his laptop. He tells Spinelli that the Russians are pulling out of town and Sam is safe. Spinelli's first comment is that now he can reconcile with Sonny! Jason says that he'd like peace but it might be too late because Sonny is in too deep with the Zaccharas. He changes the conversation to Robin's wedding and says that he won't be going this time but Spinelli should give his regards.

Holiday Magic Reigns in Port Charles.

Tuesday, December 23 2008

Spinelli comes through Jason's front door and finds 'Santa' waiting for him. Spinelli immediately thinks he's in danger and threatens his kung fu moves, but the man says that there's no time for such things and he needs Spinelli's tech prowess in getting information from his PDA. He says he's all thumbs when it comes to the gift that Mrs. Claus gave him and he needs to access the children's wish lists. After seeing the reindeer on the roof, Spinelli's a believer and rushes to help the man out. When there's a knock at the door, Spinelli lets Maxie in and turns to see only the red coat is left behind. He puts on the coat and tells Maxie that they need to go find out what everyone wants for Christmas!

Lulu and Nikolas show up at Lucky's house and promptly order pizza for their Christmas Eve dinner. Luke shows up with a Christmas tree and the first thing they all ask is how much he's had to drink. He brushes their skepticism off and comments about how 'unfestive' they are. Just then, Spinelli and Maxie show up to spread some holiday cheer. Spinelli hears some jingle bells and reaches into his magical Santa suit and pulls out a key for Lulu. He promises it will bring her cheer.

Maxie and Spinelli scurry along the waterfront on their way to their next destination and come across Max. He tells them about this problem with Diane and Maxie explains that his woman wants to know that she's special and it doesn't matter where they spend time together. Spinelli pulls out a gift for him. He hands it over and they run off. Max is wondering why a pawn ticket will solve his problem.

When she meets Max on the waterfront, he has decorated a landing with candles and a romantic table for two. He presents her with a beautiful snow globe that he picked up at a pawnshop and she melts over the sentiment of it all.

When Spinelli and Maxie return to Jason's penthouse, Santa is waiting for them. Maxie can't believe her eyes. They tell him that they only made it to three houses and couldn't find out what everyone wanted for Christmas. Santa tells them that he never needed to know, he just wanted to prove that Spinelli's heart is so good that he can see other people's wishes. They ask him to pose for a picture with them and then he's off. Maxie gives Spinelli a little kiss goodbye and says that Santa is right about him.
