From their table at The Metro Court, Carly is steaming as she tells Maxie and Spinelli to tell her about all the guys they've found for her online. 'Ready to Rock' matches Carly's profile, but Carly isn't thrilled with his description. 'Burn Baby Burn' doesn't sound good either. 'Scottie the Hottie' sounds far too much like Scott Baldwin, so they delete his name from the list.
Jason enters his office to find Maxie and Spinelli talking about online dating services. He orders them not to sign him up, and they tell him that it is for Carly, not him. Jason doesn't think it's a good idea, but Maxie gets in Jason's face for spitting all over Spinelli's idea. Jason tells them to do their 'work' somewhere else, so they pick up the laptop and leave. Maxie tells Spinelli that they are going to proceed as planned.
At the Metro Court, Carly is in Jax's face begging for forgiveness, but he reminds her that they are over. They sign some company business papers together and then Jax takes off. Maxie and Spinelli approach Carly's table and gently broach their idea to her. She appreciates their concern about her love life, but says that she's too raw right now, and so is Jax for that matter. Just then Maxie points out that Jax has escorted Leyla to a table. Carly changes her tune and asks them what kind of guys they have found for her.
Spinelli comes home to a seemingly empty house and Carly comes over to see Jason. She is clearly distraught and Spinelli asks if he can help. Carly asks if he can use his computer to erase her past and get her husband back. Spinelli offers her a refreshment while she waits for Stone Cold, but she just wants to go upstairs to wash her face. She runs upstairs and barges in on Jason and Elizabeth making out on the bed.
Over at Jason's penthouse, Spinelli pulls Maxie over to the sofa and says his flowers are a clear symbol of how highly he regards her, regardless of what she had to admit on the witness stand. Maxie fights tears as she says that she's a tramp and a user and he would be better off without her. Spinelli tells her that she has been loyal to him and provided insight and advice and saved him from the jaws of doom. He says that watching her face her demons in a court of law could never change the way he feels about her. "I have never seen you more brave or more beautiful than you were today," he softly says. Maxie eases up a little on herself as says she could never leave him.
Jason goes home and finds a very despondent Spinelli. He's upset because Maxie was made to feel lower than low on the witness stand by the Crabby Commando. Jason asks if she is in custody, but Spinelli says that she held up beautifully on the stand, but she can't bear to be seen by him now. Jason says that Maxie is tough and she's only embarrassed.
When Spinelli comes home, he finds Maxie packing her bags. He hands her some fresh flowers and asks why she's leaving. She tells him that he's feeling better and besides, he doesn't need a reminder of what a tramp she is.
"You look like iced lemonade on a hot summer's day," Spinelli tells Maxie when she worries about her outfit to wear to court today. She asks Jason what he thinks and all she gets is that she looks fine. She changes outfits and comments that she's doomed anyway because she'll get defensive and incriminate herself. Jason tells her that is what will happen unless she changes her attitude. Spinelli asks them to be nicer to each other because their discord is impeding his recovery. Maxie apologizes and plants a kiss on him. Jason and Spinelli offer some last minute advice on how to make Baldwin look like a bully on the stand. She tells Spinelli to take care of himself today, and then leaves.
Back in the courtroom, Maxie is sworn in. She nervously takes the stand but instantly feels better when she sees that Spinelli has put on a suit and shown up for support. Scott starts the questioning and gets Maxie to admit that she hates Lulu and slept with Logan on a bet to hurt her. He asks if she makes a habit of casually jumping into bed with guys, and Maxie looks nervously over at Spinelli. Scott moves on and is able to get Maxie to admit how crushed Lulu was when she learned what a pig Logan was. Scott attempts to clear up Logan's image for the jury and Maxie says, "The only person here who is surprised that your son got himself killed Mr. Baldwin, is you." Ric takes over and Maxie is able to explain how out of control Logan was on the day he died. When Maxie is excused, she takes off and Spinelli chases after her.
What she doesn't know is that Spinelli has come to the stairway and hears her. Jason sees him, but Spinelli urges him to let her keep talking. Maxie says that Spinelli is the only person who has ever believed in her, besides Georgie. She tells Jason how much he has come to mean to her and how he has helped her to see herself in a better light. She wants to be as good to him as he is to her. Jason stands up and says that he has to go out, but he wants her to stay in Spinelli's room, in his bed, and make sure he's okay while he's out. Maxie thanks him for not kicking her out and runs upstairs. When she crawls in with Spinelli, he contentedly pretends that he is asleep.
