DAMIEN SPINELLI'S HISTORY
Technically, Spinelli is a student at Port Charles University. He was "discovered" by Lorenzo Alcazar as he was interning for Professor Pete. Alcazar hired him to use his computer skills in order for him to gain control over the mob of Port Charles. He ended up in the middle of a mob war under the protection of Jason Morgan. He hid in a safe house with Sam McCall. During an ambush, he disappeared for a while and then ended up taking a college class with Lulu Spencer. Lorenzo kidnapped both of them and they were rescued by Jason. Spinelli was overwhelmed with the danger of his newfound life and ran off to stay with his "Granny" in Tennessee. Jason wanted to find him so he could help clear Sam McCall from murder charges, so Lulu went along to Tennessee to see if she could eyeball the house from a photo that Spinelli showed her once.
After they returned to Port Charles and cleared Sam, Spinelli became involved in helping Lulu to clear her mother from murdering Rick Webber. He also became the source for marijuanna for ALexis Davis to help offset the ravages of chemotherapy. Somewhere in the process Spinelli fell hopelessly in love with Lulu and is currently vying for her affection with Lulu's many other suitors.

Thursday, January 08 2009: Spinelli is Going Down.
The two computer aficionados are meeting on the waterfront. Winfred is happy that Spinelli contacted her but when Spinelli gently tells her why he asked her here, her enthusiasm fades. He tells her that he is flattered by her admiration, but nothing between them is 'personal in nature'. Winifred says that they don't have to be friends if he doesn't want to. She says that in cyberspace no one cares what she looks like and she feels good there, so maybe she went overboard in person. Spinelli struggles to find the words to build her esteem and then explains that his heart 'truly and forever is taken by another'. Winifred says that Maxie is the luckiest girl on earth.
When Spinelli arrives at Maxie's, she apologizes for arguing with him. Spinelli accepts her apology but says that her unwillingness to accept those who are different deeply upsets him. She says that she has been forced to really look at her feelings for him and they are more than friendship. She tells him that she needs him, so he kisses her. As things get heated, Spinelli offers to back away, but Maxie insists that she wants to be with him. As they make love, they have no way of knowing about a conversation going on across town.
Wednesday, January 07 2009: Lines are Drawn in the Dirt.
"It is awesome to finally meet a member of the species that speaks my language," Spinelli tells Winifred as they hang out on the waterfront together. Maxie comes into earshot and is hurt by what she has heard. She marches up and asserts, again, that Winifred is playing him. She suggests to Spinelli that the only reason Winifred was able to help with his breach of security is because she was probably the hacker in the first place. Spinelli says that Winifred helped him! Maxie says that she thought he was smarter that this and Spinelli counters by saying that he thought she was better than this.
Maxie is not at all pleased to find Winifred at her door. Winifred tells her to stay out of her way or she'll regret it. Maxie calls her a 'fashion disaster of epic proportions' as she walks out the door. Maxie immediately calls Spinelli over. When he arrives, she tells him that his new friend threatened her and says that it's creepy how Winifred lurks about him. He says that it hurts that she can't imagine why anyone would idolize him. He points out that they can't choose each other's friends. Finally, Maxie asks him which friend he'd rather have, her or Winifred?
