(Un)Happy New Year!

Back at the hospital, Epiphany informs Robin that one of her patients needs emergency surgery and Robin tells her to get Dr. Drake back to the hospital. Before long, Patrick comes rushing in and Robin apologizes if she ruined his night with Leyla. He says that he was on his way to the Metro Court to be with Leo and Andy. Then he points out that his father is on call and she just couldn't stand the fact that they would've been apart on New Year's Eve. Robin denies it. She says that the patient is a friend of Georgie's and she wants the best for her. Patrick apologizes and asks her to scrub in with him.

Epiphany is in a foul mood - even for her. She is snapping at everyone and when Cassius tries to ask what's wrong, she asks if he called his mama to wish her happy holidays yet. Liz asks her what's bothering her and she says that Stan hasn't called for weeks. After Liz leaves to meet Jason, Epiphany gets a call and is suddenly cheered up. It was Toussaint! He has a gig tonight, but wanted her to know that he is thinking of her.

Disco's Back?

"Dr. Quartermaine, this patient is bleeding out!" Epiphany tells Monica as they struggle to keep Luke from bleeding out. Monica can't seem to function, but thankfully Dr. Julian comes in and takes over. Monica leaves and goes to the waiting room to face Luke's family. She finds them arguing about whether or not Scottie should be among them. As they argue, Monica approaches them and tells them that she is sorry. She admits that she should've never tried to perform surgery because Tracy was right - she froze. She says that she saw Emily's face and lost focus and nearly lost Luke. She says that Dr. Julian is doing everything he can as they speak. Leslie and Bobbie are gracious and empathize with Monica's loss, but Tracy is furious.

Hang On Luke!

Out at the nurses' desk Epiphany is telling Nadine to start her rotation tonight, but notices that she keeps scratching her elbow. Nadine tells her she'll be fine and walks away. She tells another nurse that every time her elbow itches someone dies. What's more, it itched right before the Black & White ball and we all know how that turned out! Tracy comes out and finds Epiphany and asks her to find Dr. Julian. Monica rushes by and says that it's too late for that. Tracy reminds her that she froze during Alan's surgery and Monica says that she was unprepared for the thought of losing Alan - this is different! "Monica - if you think that you're going to escape Emily in that OR, think again!" Tracy says.

In the OR, Luke is trying to invite Epiphany back to his back to his place to spin some "33's" as he starts to go under. After he's down, Monica comes in and looks around at her staff. Then, she sees Emily -- all scrubbed in and ready to assist. Monica freezes and Eppy tells her to do something or they will lose the patient! From Luke's point of view, everything goes white and Skye comes to him. He sees her and says that there is heaven after all. Skye tells him that that's not where he's going at all. Suddenly Luke is thrown back into life, but he's dressed like an old man in a cardigan and sitting in by a fireplace.

Johnny Steps Behind the Desk.

Nik is surprised to see that Emily has appeared at the hospital with him. He thought he could only see her at the house, but apparently that's not true. As he talks with her about the test results he is about to pick up, Epiphany offers to help Nikolas. He asks if Dr. Patrick Drake left something for him. Eppy expresses her condolences and Emily tells Nik that was sweet. She anxiously looks on as he opens the envelope. It turns out that Patrick was able to get Nikolas an appointment with a Doctor Lipman in Zurich.

Patrick Wants Another Chance

At the hospital Jax asks Elizabeth about Jerry. She blows him off, saying only that Jerry is being treated. As Bobbie begins Emily's memorial service for the hospital workers, Elizabeth walks in the chapel. Seconds later they are interrupted by an incoming trauma! Robin, Patrick and Nadine focus on saving the patient. The patient's family - dressed for her wedding - arrive. Elizabeth intercepts them and tells them what she knows about her prognosis. Patrick and Robin come out and tell them that Melina is on her way to surgery for head wounds. The family is stunned. The fiancé asks them if they can save her; Patrick tells him they'll do everything they can. The family goes in to see Melina before she is wheeled in to surgery. Robin returns to talk to them for a while. Patrick listens as she calms their fears and then leads them upstairs. Another nurse comes up, tells Patrick to grow up and stop pretending he doesn't want Robin any more.

In another part of the hospital Bobbie and Epiphany talk about Emily and how much she will be missed by the hospital staff. The family arrives at Epiphany's station. She sees one of the aides offering water and coffee and thanks him. But, she wonders what his real motives are. Robin returns to the family and tells them there have been complications. Dr. Lee arrives and tells the family that she needs permission to operate to perform an emergency hysterectomy. The family is stunned and ask Dr. Lee to save their daughter. Patrick arrives and asks Robin to come and talk to him. Patrick takes Robin down the hall and tells her he loves her! "I miss you," he says and tells her that seeing the bride come in was a sign for them to get back together. Robin is stunned but is afraid to believe he really wants her - all of her. Patrick kisses her and says they will figure the rest out as they go along.

The Cops Arrive!

Inside the hospital, Dr. Ford tells the staff that they will need medical help for all the people on the island and tells them all to get ready to go and help out.

Luke has another heart attack. Tracy calls for help and Robin rushes in. Robin tells Tracy to get the defibrilator so they can shock Luke's heart. He is having trouble breathing and Tracy asks Robin to hurry. She shocks Luke once but his heart is still out of control. They shock him again and Robin is able to get Luke's heart beating normally again. Robin tells them she is going to get the police to help Luke to the chopper. They tell her to be careful. Once they are alone, Luke jokingly asks Tracy to join him in a game of mattress tag! They get silly for a minute, talking about massages and bad backs and heart problems. Tracy tells Luke to shut up because the only hands she wants on her body belong to him! She kisses his hand. A paramedic arrives and Tracy tells him to be careful. Epiphany walks in and tells Tracy to shut up and let them do their jobs. Tracy backs off and they are about to wheel Luke to the chopper when he asks where Lucky is.
