Dr. Kelly and Epiphany are helping Joe's wife when Liz rushes into the lobby with Jake in her arms. She quickly tells them that there was a fire and Jake isn't breathing right. Sam tells her to take Jake and leave right now. Liz doesn't understand and finally Joe makes it clear for her. He shows her his bomb.
Inside at the nurses' desk, Mayor Floyd is brought in on a stretcher after hurting himself in a skateboard accident. Edward, Monica and Epiphany are rushing around to get him some help and that's when Joe and his wife return. Joe informs them that this time he's brought his insurance with him. He opens his coat to reveal that a bomb is strapped to his waist.
Meanwhile, Epiphany is taking her pain out on everyone around her at the nurses' desk. Monica tells her that the interns just want to help, that's all. She reminds her that she, too, knows how hard it is to lose a child. Later, a package arrives for Epiphany and she gingerly touches it as if she's afraid of what's inside. She tells Cassius that she knows what to do with Stan's things; she just doesn't know what to do with the memories.
Spinelli goes to GH to pay his respects to Epiphany. Although he and Stan were rivals in the cyber world, in real life Stan had his utmost respect. She gives him the box she received and says that she wants him and Jason to have the first look at what Stan had with him. "I want you and Jason to do right by my boy," she says.
Dr. Ford approaches Epiphany at the hospital and tells her to take all the time she needs to mourn her son's death. She turns to Liz and Nadine and asks who ratted her out? Liz tells her that she should talk to Lainey, but Epiphany says she knows exactly who she needs to talk to! She grabs her coat and leaves and Liz stays right behind her.
Carly and Jason are still talking when Epiphany (and Liz) storms into Sonny's office. She says that someone from their world ran Stanford off that road and Jason can find out who it was. Spinelli rushes in and offers to help do everything in their power. Epiphany, and then Spinelli leave and Elizabeth thanks Jason before she leaves. Carly says, "Interesting that Elizabeth showed up for all of that, don't ya think?"
Back on Earth, Epiphany is at the nurses' desk yelling into the phone for Stanford to talk to her. Cassius and Elizabeth try to help by asking her where Stan was calling from. Liz calls 911 and hands the phone over to Epiphany. Then she uses her cell phone to call Jason for help. Jerry is watching the scene unfold from down the hall.
Jason and Spinelli rush into GH with news that they found from tracking Stan's GPS devise. Apparently Stan crashed his SUV in central Florida somewhere. Epiphany is angry and says that if her son got hurt while working for Sonny Corinthos...Jason cuts her off and says that Stan quit working for them in September. Epiphany asks who he is working for then?
Out at the desk, Epiphany gets a call from the Florida police and Liz, Jason, Spinelli and Cassius look on. She can't believe what she is hearing and finally lets out a cry of dumbstruck grief.
Epiphany finds Cassius daydreaming at the hospital and reads him the riot act. Then she yells at all of the nurses at the desk. When Nadine gently asks her how her New Year's Eve was, Epiphany says that she waited for her son, Stan, to call. Not long after, Epiphany finally gets the call she's been waiting for. Stan tells her that he's sorry he hasn't called and that he's doing some business in Florida. She tells him that she has made a vow to tell him how much she loves him and accepts him for who he is. Her smile turns into a total confusion when she hears a crash and then the line goes dead.
