Lucky is at the nurses' desk at GH talking to Epiphany when Detective Harper comes in and warns them that the ER will be really busy tonight. He explains that the Drug Enforcement Agency got a tip about a drug shipment coming in tonight and they're going to intercept it.
Robin and Patrick are pleased with the wild goose chase that they've sent Epiphany on and are happily noshing on some Chinese food. Robin playfully wonders if they have time for sex and Epiphany coming through the door is their answer. Robin takes control of the situation and says that this is her pregnancy and she calls the shots. She apologizes to Epiphany and thanks her for all that she's done for her. Epiphany gets her suitcases and tells them to start acting like grownups in time for the birth of their baby.
Carly and Jax go to GH and thank Epiphany for all the extra care she has given their son. Jax tells Michael that the people who will be caring for him will talk to him, read to him and keep him posted on what's going on in the world. Carly promises that they'll all visit him often, and then decides to talk to him about Sonny. Jax steps out of the room as Carly tells her son that Sonny tried to give him the life that he didn't have for himself as a boy. She says that Sonny loves him and always will, but she has to make sure that nothing ever happens to Morgan. She explains about the papers that she's going to ask Sonny to sign and says "…he won't be your father anymore."
Sonny goes to GH to see Michael and finds Epiphany giving him tender, loving care as she tucks him in after a bath. When Sonny thanks her, she tells him that he reminds her of the young man she lost all because of his business! After she leaves, Sonny sits with Michael and says that no child should have to pay for his father's mistakes. He sobs as he tells him about the place that Jax found for him and apologizes for the life that he won't have now. He looks to the doorway and sees Jason standing there. Sonny thanks him for getting through to Carly and leaves Jason to visit with Michael.
At the nurse's desk Liz tells Epiphany and Robin that she's only working a half day because it's Jake's birthday and they're having a little party in the park. She says that Lucky's out of town on police business but Cam wanted the party to go on as planned. Patrick stops by and snags an invitation, much to Robin's surprise. She pulls him aside and tells him that her mother was just spouting off and he shouldn't pay any attention to what Anna said about them getting married. She says that she told her mother the subject was never on the table and it's all good. Patrick is glad it's all straightened out.
Liz shows up at GH late for work and Epiphany yells at her. Liz explains that Jake has an earache and Cam was a handful this morning. Epiphany tells her that she knows how hard it is to be a single mom, but if balancing her life and work isn't working something has to change. Lucky comes by later and can see that Liz is frazzled. He offers to give up his Saturday baseball tickets so he can watch the boys. She tells him that she really wants some alone time with the boys this weekend but says he can come by for dinner after the game if he wants. A little later, Sam shows up to ask Epiphany if there's something different she can take for her pain. As they talk, they hear Dr. Ford yelling at Liz for her incompetence.
Epiphany, Cassius and Leyla are at the nurse's desk when Spinelli and Maxie (dressed as doctors) push a gurney onto the elevator with a covered-up Dr. Devlin on it. They end up in the morgue and Maxie wants to leave before he wakes up. Spinelli wants to use the computer first. Neither gets their way because Epiphany comes in and demands to know what they are up to. Maxie claims they just want a little privacy that's all. Epiphany kicks them out in short order. As soon as she's gone, they go back in and find a coroner firing up a saw to use on Devlin! "It's alive!" Spinelli screams.
Liz shows up late at the Nurse's desk and is chastised by Epiphany. Liz snipes back and Epiphany can see that she's upset so she backs off. Lucky comes along and tells Liz that he'd like her to come with him to The Haunted Star tonight, not as a date, but in case Luke has some health problems. Liz thinks for a moment, and then accepts his offer.
Liz reports to work and learns about a little boy who was hit by a car right in front of his father's eyes. After the surgery it looks as if the boy will make a full recovery and Liz takes it all in as the father reunites with his son. Later she, Robin and Epiphany talk about how important it is for a child to have a father in his life. Robin says that she knows she is capable of raising her child by herself but what if it ends up feeling as if something is missing?
Liz has both her boys in tow when she rushes up to the nurses' desk and asks Robin to watch them for a moment. Epiphany and Patrick watch as Cameron swipes Robin's stethoscope and runs around with it. Robin's hands are full with Jake and she asks Eppy and Patrick for help, but they remind her that she is an independent woman!
