Epiphany is in an especially foul mood at GH today. Robin and Patrick can't figure out what's wrong with her and finally she lets them have it. She says that they've been driving her staff to distraction ever since they laid eyes on each other. And now, with a baby on the way and a wedding to put together in less than two weeks, they're sure to implode and involve all the rest of them. Robin and Patrick promise that all is well in their world these days and Epiphany says, "We'll see!"
Down at the court house, the jury has called the judge to report their fellow juror's misconduct. The juror denies working with Mr. Zacchara, but the judge discharges her and brings in a substitute. When the new juror arrives, Edward starts by saying that Port Charles has been run by mobsters for years, starting with Frank Smith. He says that it's time that they take their city back and it can start by putting Johnny Zacchara away. For her turn, Epiphany tells them that you can't be convicted because of who your family is.
The verdict is in and everyone gathers in the court room. Epiphany stands and states that the jury has found Johnny Zacchara not guilty. As Johnny and Claudia hug in relief, and Scott raises demands there's been a mistake, Epiphany and Edward shake hands as if to say, "We've done the right thing."
In the jury room, Epiphany is chosen as the foreperson. The jurors debate the case and the elderly woman, Mrs. Albright, comes out as the strongest in Johnny’s defense saying all Johnny did was protect his sister. The jurors then mill about talking amongst each other while on break. Edward and the juror who flirts with Epiphany discuss the merits of the designated hitter in baseball, but Mrs. Albright tries to sway other jurors to acquit Johnny, which is against the rules and which Epiphany overhears. Epiphany tells Edward and the other juror about Mrs. Albright, as the senior citizen goes into the hallway. She gets on her cell phone, telling whoever is on the other end that she has already turned two jurors and is making progress on two more. Epiphany, Edward and the other juror catch her and Epiphany gets on the phone. She says, “Anthony Zacchara, you are so busted!”
Ric and Scott are in the courtroom, along with Johnny, during the jury selection process. Epiphany is among the potential jurors and promises her complete objectivity. She is selected by both the prosecution as well as the defense. When Edward is called, he states his belief that he could never be a juror in this case because it would be a financial hardship on his family if he missed work. Scott objects and the court makes him admit that he made 100 million dollars in interest last year. Edward adds that he's biased against Johnny anyway. Scott accepts him unto the jury and Ric whispers to Johnny that Edward isn't likely to hurt Lulu by putting him away so they won't object. Before long, Tracy arrives in the courtroom and gets a good laugh when she sees her father on the jury. Alan pops up next to her and they agree how delicious it is to see the old man trapped among ordinary folks day after day. Tracy adds that Edward already thinks that Johnny is guilty, so at least he's good for something.
Robin finds Liz in the hospital lounge and hears that she thinks a marriage to Patrick is the best choice for all of them. She says that Robin is blessed to have the man she loves willing and able to share her life with her. Later, Robin finds Lainey, Epiphany and Kelly at the nurses' desk and notices that something is up. They tell her that she's crazy about Patrick and she should marry him. Just then Mac and Anna come in and she's happy to see someone on her side. Mac says he isn't so sure.
In the OR, Matt has removed Spinelli's spleen and Nadine is full of questions about whether or not he has checked the bowel, ruptured the diaphragm, etc. Finally Matt has had enough and asks her to leave his operating room. Epiphany echoes him and tells Nadine that she is "on report."
Maxie and Nadine are eagerly waiting for Epiphany's assessment of how Spinelli is doing after surgery. Epiphany tells them both that Dr. Hunter is arrogant, but he did a fine job and deserves their respect. Maxie goes into Spinelli's room and holds his hand while he sleeps. Liz comes in, checks his vitals and then brings Matt into the room. She reports that Spinelli's fever is spiking, so Matt orders a bunch of tests. Maxie smacks him in the face and announces that if anything happens to Spinelli she will ruin his life.
The crowd that has gathered around Patrick and Robin at GH is listening intently as he professes his love for her. Anna and Mac, Kelly, Leyla, Liz, Dr. Matt and Epiphany all appear to be touched by his words. When he gets down on one knee and presents Robin with a diamond ring, his chin quivers as he says, "Robin, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" She remains stunned and Patrick asks her to say yes already so everyone can get back to caring for the sick and the needy. She smiles and tells him that she never thought of marriage happening like this and then runs to the elevator.
Over at GH, Epiphany tells Patrick that he is losing his mind, but he claims that she has just lost her sense of adventure. Robin joins them and asks what is going on? Patrick scurries off to work and Robin shakes her head and does the same.
