Emily nervously makes a mess at the GH hub. Epiphany saves the day - and the blood samples - as Patrick and Robin arrive. They tell her the pregnancy scare was just that, but Robin is obviously affected by the news. They argue again about their parents; Patrick compares Noah's possible drinking to their not being ready for children. They talk about Eli but both are still thinking about the pregnancy test. Patrick tells Robin it is all for the best. He leaves. A couple walks by with a young child. The kiddo drops a stuffed animal and Robin picks it up, handing it back. She looks at the child longingly.
Across the room, Epiphany tells Emily about Jason's acquittal. Liz returns to the hospital and talks things over with Emily. She is relieved that Jason won't go to jail but doesn’t know how that news will affect her marriage. Epiphany points her in the direction of a few dirty bedpans, telling her to get back to work. Liz tells Epiphany she'll stay late but Em says she can't - they are supposed to be meeting Lucky and Nikolas for dinner!
Robin is trying to tell Elizabeth about some meds for a patient, and then admits that she's distracted today. Elizabeth has overheard about the possible pregnancy and tells Robin that both her sons were surprises and now they are her life. Meanwhile, Patrick is talking to Epiphany. He says that if he has a child, he wants to "make a contribution", but he's just not ready to do that. Epiphany tells him to consider "the mother" for a moment. Robin stomps by and tells Patrick that she's going home to take a pregnancy test.
When Epiphany hears that Jason's case has gone to the jury, she tells Elizabeth to take the rest of the day off and get down to the court house. Liz thanks her, but says that she can't do that to Lucky. Soon, Amelia shows up at the nurse's desk and tells Liz that she should go down to the courthouse to support Jason when the verdict comes in. Liz asks Amelia why she cares so much. Amelia replies that Jason saved her life and she's concerned about him. Again, Liz affirms that she's not going to the courthouse. "The whole town knows that I slept with him, why make it worse by showing up for the verdict?" she tells Amelia.
Noah is dressed as Eli Love at the hospital. Epiphany tells him that he needs to get his head examined. Noah plays with her and suggests that he call himself Dr. Love from now on. Just then, Patrick and Robin walk up to the nurses' station and continue to bicker. Robin says that all Patrick cares about is sex and then stomps off. Noah shrugs and tells Patrick that he's on his own.
Epiphany busts an orderly pushing 2 racks of couture gowns through the hospital hallway. He explains by saying "What Kate Howard wants, Kate Howard gets". Epiphany goes straight to Kate's room and says that her magazine is a waste of trees with "empty-eyed girls" who are built "like sticks". Kate says that she has to do business from the hospital since no one will discharge her. Sonny comes in and Epiphany warns him that Kate's over-sized ego could pop.
Patrick demands some blood work from Epiphany, who tells him to calm down. He asks again, nicely, as Robin walks up. Epiphany realizes his mood is based on sexual frustration and tells them both to cool it. Noah, also annoyed, demands some tests from Epiphany. They realize Noah has the same issues Patrick does! Noah gets angry at Robin, believing that she is the reason Anna won't even talk to him now. Robin wonders why Patrick defended her to his dad and Epiphany fills him in - Patrick defended her to get back into her bed! They argue about Anna and Noah - again.
Kate has collapsed on her terrace and Sonny is calling an ambulance to come to 124 Shoreline Road. After she has been transported to GH, the attending doctor is questioning Sonny about what happened. Sonny tells the doctor about how Kate saved his son from a pond even though she can't swim - or at least she couldn't twenty years ago. The doctor starts to look over Kate's body and finds a poisonous snake bite on her ankle. They find the proper treatment and hook up her IV. Epiphany hangs back after the doctor leaves and asks Sonny how he knows that Miss Howard can't swim. He tells a story about how he tried to teach her how to swim years ago, but she was afraid of the undertow. Sonny's face lights up as he recounts how he would swim way out in the ocean near Coney Island and she would wait for him only ankle deep. He says that when his son was in danger today, however, Kate went right in after him. Epiphany has a tear rolling down her face as she says, "Sounds like someone worth getting to know again." In a little while, Kate wakes up and Sonny explains that she is in the hospital. And why! She can't believe that she was not only in the water, but with a snake. She says that maybe she should take it as a sign and move back to Manhattan -- where snakes walk around on two feet. Sonny gently says that he could probably list 100 reasons why she should go back, but he doesn't want her to leave. She assures him that she has no plans to move back to the city any time soon. Sonny asks her if she ever learned how to swim and she says no. He says that she jumped in and saved his son's life. "I'll never forget that," he says. She asks if he remembers when they used to go to Coney Island. They laugh as they talk about the arcade games that they used to play. Sonny looks to the ground and says that when they broke up… (He doesn't finish because Kate has fallen asleep). He reaches over and brushes the hair from her forehead.
Patrick and Robin are worried because Noah hasn't shown up for work. He walks in, happy, worrying them even more. Epiphany walks by with several nurses who are enthralled by the similarities between Noah and Eli. They leave. Noah tells them not to worry because he has everything under control. They talk about the night before and Robin tries to find out just what happened between Noah and her mother. He skirts the issue. Kelly arrives and pulls Robin away. Noah tells Patrick that Anna is really good at teaching him how to be Eli. He leaves. Epiphany walks back in with the nurses, telling them to go observe with Dr. Hughes. The nurses leave as Liz walks in. She tells Epiphany her fears about testifying at Jason's trial. Epiphany tells Liz not to lie, not matter what but Elizabeth is worried that the truth will be twisted to hurt Jason. Sam walks in, with a wrapped wrist, for help. She tells Epiphany she needs help now because she has to testify the next day. Elizabeth listens. When Epiphany steps away, she questions how Sam hurt herself and they begin arguing over Jason. Epiphany returns and Sam leaves. Instead of comforting Liz, Epiphany tells her that she understands how Sam feels and warns her that she - and Jason - better watch out. "There is nothing more dangerous than a woman scorned," Epiphany says.
At the nurse's desk, Epiphany asks Liz if she's heard anything about Jason's case. She explains that as a mother, she thinks that if Jason stays in prison, maybe Stan will stay out of trouble. Liz tells Epiphany that she and Jason didn't talk about his case when she visited him. Ric walks up to the nurse's desk and delivers a subpoena to Liz.
