Anna returns to Robin's apartment on cloud nine. Robin is excited for her as she talks about how deeply she and Eli connect. Anna compliments Robin's efforts to keep her baby bump hidden, and then says that Robin should never think that she is anything but happy about her pregnancy. "I'm going to be the best damn grandmother that any baby has ever had," Anna promises. Robin tells her that she doesn't have to change one bit when the baby is born.
Three Minutes in Nirvana.
Patrick and Robin have gone back to GH to work after their aborted hearing. Anna is there too, to tell them that she's going to stick around town rather than leave on an assignment. She says that she needs to face the music. Just then Epiphany says that Eli Love is in the lobby and people are going crazy. Anna assures her that he'll leave toot sweet as soon as he learns that she's going to be a grandmother. Robin promptly hides, and not a moment too soon. Eli gets off the elevator and greets them all warmly. He and Anna recall good times in Rio and how hard they partied. Eventually Kelly has found Robin and is trying to help her slip away, but Eli sees her. He is happy to see her and asks for a big hug. She rushes away after a brief "hello" and then Eli asks Anna for a private reunion.
I Want To Be A Baby-Daddy!
Diane meets Alexis in court and says she won’t get away with this. She says she is going to call in experts who will testify that Patrick should have access to the child even before the baby is born! As they are arguing Robin walks in. Robin tells them to stop fighting as Patrick comes in. Alexis tells Patrick that Diane is going to ruin things for Robin. Both of them want the case to be fought cleanly and worry that Diane and Alexis will fight dirty. Anna arrives and throws a wrench in the works - she says she won’t testify for either side! The hearing begins. Anna whispers to Patrick that she is sorry; he says he understands. Noah arrives and says he can’t testify either. Alexis is disappointed but Robin understands. She asks Alexis if they can stop the hearing but the judge arrives just then. Patrick takes the stand. He admits he didn’t want kids but says now that there is a child he can’t ignore it. He says Robin can trust him to stand by her. She listens. “Turns out, this is the most important thing in the world to me,” he says. Robin cries. She stands up and tells the judge that she is wasting everyone’s time. “You can see me and the baby any time you want,” she says. After court, Alexis and Diane congratulate one another. Anna tells Robin to go talk to Patrick. Noah tells Patrick that he is a good man. Robin goes to him and tells him she loves him. Anna receives a call from Eli, who is headed to town. She is nervous that he’ll find out she’s going to be a granny.
Everybody Thinks They Know Whodunnit.
"Why are you being so nice to me when we're about to rip each other apart in court?" Robin asks Patrick as he hands her a peach trifle for breakfast on their big day. Anna is there, too, and Noah arrives shortly. The two Drakes continue their argument from yesterday. Anna tells them that their cycle must be broken or else Robin will never feel comfortable letting Patrick be a father to their child. Patrick gets in Noah's face and Noah agrees that he wasn't a great father and reminds him that they are exactly alike. Anna says that she made horrible mistakes as a mother but she and Robin talked things out and have moved forward. Noah softens and says that he let Patrick's mother down because he put his career first and now he loathes himself for it. He urges Patrick not to make the same mistake and leaves. Anna apologizes to Patrick for bringing up old wounds and says that she's trying to protect them all from doing irreparable damage to one another. Robin asks her mother to give her some time alone with Patrick. Anna steps out and Robin tells Patrick that he's a far better man than Noah gives him credit for. Patrick tells Robin that he loves her and the baby and that is why he has to go through with the court proceeding.
Can Maxie and Lulu be Friends?
At GH, Anna tries to justify Patrick's right to a custody hearing because Robin forced his hand. She says that, if she has to, she'll tell the judge tomorrow that Patrick deserves to be a father. Noah says that he'll stand up for his grandchild's mother then.
Robin goes home and finds Noah, Anna and Patrick waiting for her. She gladly embraces Noah and is thrilled to see him. Until, that is, she learns that he plans to testify that Patrick will be a rotten father. He proceeds to list his son's shortcomings and then admits that he had a bad role model. Robin finally speaks up and says that this is about her and Patrick and how they want to raise their child. She tells Patrick that she loves him and she doesn't want to drudge up old pain for him. Anna asks why they're going to court tomorrow if they love each other and both want to be good parents. Robin says that she wants Patrick to be happy and that means being a top surgeon, not a daddy. She reminds him that the baby was her idea and she's the one who is willing to make the sacrifices involved. She doesn't want him or need him to give up his dream and that is what she'll tell the judge.
Grandpa Noah Weighs In.
Robin comes home and finds Anna measuring windows. She assumes that she's becoming domestic, but it turns out that the curtains she's measuring for will be made from Kevlar. Robin accuses her of feeling guilty about siding with Patrick and Anna says that she still supports Patrick's bid to be close to his own child. She says that Robin is objecting out of sheer stubbornness. Robin reminds Anna that she doesn't know Patrick very well and he has his limitations. Anna gently tells her that her instinct to push away the man she loves isn't going to help anyone. Robin leaves to get some air.
Back at GH, Patrick and Noah are coming out of surgery and run into Anna. Noah and Anna greet each other with a hug and comment that they are going to be grandparents. She asks what he thinks of the legal action that Patrick has initiated. Noah calls his son an idiot and says if he doesn't drop the suit he'll testify for Robin.
Anna Takes the Blame.
After Alexis is gone, Anna comes over to talk. She says that since she kept Robin's father away for the first six years of her life, it likely made her feel as if a father isn't important. Robin assures her that this is about Patrick's affirmation that he never wanted children until a few months ago. Anna tells Robin that fear is clouding her judgment. "Patrick wants to be with you, why won't you let him?" Anna wisely asks. Later Patrick drops by while Robin is napping. Anna says that she is to blame for Robin's emotional shortcomings where trust is concern. She adds that she'll feel worse if she's wrong about him. Patrick assures her that she's not.
Dr. Hunter Makes Waves.
At GH, Patrick informs Robin that Diane Miller is now his attorney and that he has a good chance of getting visitation. At that moment Anna appears and knocks Patrick to the ground for causing Robin stress.
