Things are tense in the delivery room as everyone waits to hear Robin's baby's first cry. Finally, she does and Kelly announces that she's healthy. After a big sigh of relief, the proud mom and dad hold their little girl. Epiphany allows Anna, Mac and Maxie in so they can all be together. Patrick jokes that the baby's name is Millicent, but then tells Robin to do the honors. She announces little Miss Emma Grace Scorpio Drake. When Patrick holds her for the first time, his face grows somber as he says that she has a tiny nick on her ear. Robin's face falls because she realizes that could mean the baby was exposed to HIV.
Out in the waiting room, Mac reminds Anna that Robin's viral load is virtually undetectable. For her part, Maxie rambles to Spinelli turning Emma into a fashion icon before she can walk.
Soon, Anna comes in to meet her granddaughter and gushes over her relentlessly. When Robin worries about the possibility of Emma being HIV positive, Anna promises that she'll worry about her child forever no matter what. Next, Mac and Maxie come in. Maxie is afraid to hold the baby, but she tells her how much they all love her. They talk about Georgie and then Mac promises to be a doting great uncle. Robin beams as she takes it all in.
Back in Port Charles, Anna brings Spinelli into Robin's room to meet Emma. Robin tells him that he should be her daughter's honorary uncle, but Mac doesn't want Emma exposed to computer hacking. When Kelly comes in, she announces that Emma is HIV negative. Then, Robin crashes.
Out in the waiting room, Anna is very upset and Mac tries to remain calm. Maxie sits next to a very sullen and quiet Spinelli. Matt doesn’t know exactly where he fits in so he rambles out the periphery of the family members and the staff.
Anna is allowed to go see Robin, so she puts on a brave face. She tells Robin that she's nearly a mother now and she needs to give her baby all of her strength. After Anna is asked to leave, Robin calmly tells Patrick that her mother is right. She tells him to save the baby instead of her if it comes down to that.
At the wedding, the minister asks for a doctor and half the congregation stands up. Kelly steps forward and takes charge; the crowd is dispersed. Kelly says they can't wait for an ambulance and they commandeer a limo to get Patrick and Robin to the hospital. Anna drives while Patrick, Robin and Kelly are in the back; Robin tells Anna to slow down but she just keeps driving faster!
Anna, Robin, Patrick and Kelly arrive at the hospital; Kelly and Elizabeth takes Robin and Patrick into a delivery room. Kelly sees that the baby's heart rate dropped and says there could be problems. She tells Robin they have to move the baby and asks Patrick to support Robin so they can work quickly. Kelly calls for an O-R but they are booked. Epiphany and Liz look at one another. Kelly leaves to clear a room, just in case they have to do a C-Section there. Patrick tells Robin things will be okay; she has another contraction and screams. The baby becomes more distressed.
Maxie wants to see Robin but Mac, who is freaking out, and Anna tell her to give the doctors room to work. Spinelli arrives and Maxie asks him if everything is going to be okay with Robin's baby. Mac is worried, too, but Anna tells him that Robin – and the baby – will be fine because the staff knows how to protect her. Matt walks in and asks where Robin is. Elizabeth comes out and says there is a complication. She says the baby is in a bad position and they are trying to move the baby. Maxie can't believe this is happening to Robin. Spinelli gives her a book of art to cheer her up. Elizabeth returns and tells them that the baby's heartbeat isn't strong; Jason hears and walks out.
That's when Patrick rushes into the church. Robin just smiles and shakes her head when she sees how rumpled he looks in his tux. Maxie insists that they do everything the traditional way and pushes Patrick to the altar and Robin to the back of the aisle. Coleman fixes Patrick's tie, and Mac and Anna each give Robin the classic bittersweet sentiments of parents who are about to lose their only child.
