Lulu is attempting to leave the Q mansion, but is stopped by Edward and Monica. They remind her that they are her guardians at the moment, and Lulu assures them that nothing is going on. Just then Logan arrives and Edward jumps down his throat. Logan says that he's not happy to be Scott Baldwin's son, but at least coming to Port Charles has lead him to Lulu. Monica jumps in and says that in addition to having a questionable father, working for Sonny Corinthos is bad news. She says her son, Jason, has gone down the same dangerous path. She turns to Lulu and says that the women in Sonny's life are always in danger, too. Logan tells the Q's that even if he quite his job tomorrow, they still wouldn't let him date Lulu. Edward orders Alice to remove Logan. She holds him by the shoulders, but he shakes her off. Lulu tells Monica that she is going to see Logan no matter what they say.
Lulu surprises Edward and Monica at breakfast. She asks about phone calls but no one has taken any calls for her. Alice brings a package to Monica and offers Lulu some eggs. Edward insists she take a few bites, uncovers the plate. Inside in a muffin with a candle on top! They wish her a happy birthday, explaining they were planning a party but had to cancel it. They decided to cancel, Monica explains, because of the stress Lucky's been under. Lulu shrugs it off, thanking them for remembering her anyway. She takes the muffin and Edward reminds her to make a wish. She doesn't want to. Edward begins talking in circles; Monica tells him to just say it: they want to know if Jake is Jason's son! Uncomfortable, Lulu dances around the issue. She reminds them that Liz swore under oath that Jack was Lucky's. Lulu leaves.
Alan and Tracy bicker over Edward's running of ELQ - Alan tells her they need to work together to outsmart Edward! Logan arrives and asks Tracy if he can have permission to date Lulu! Alan and Tracy burst out laughing. She tells Logan he will never have her permission. Lulu walks in, wondering what is going on. Tracy tries to convince her Logan is after money but he tells her he just wanted permission to date her. Lulu takes Logan's side and they leave. When they are alone, Alan tells Tracy that Lulu is only being a teenager but she doesn't think so. Edward arrives and calls Tracy out - he believes she is trying to interfere with Lulu's life to make Luke happy! Tracy tells him he needs to let her out or Lulu will be in big trouble.
Lulu rushes into the Q study and fills her purse with pastries to take to Logan. As she attempts to slip out, Monica and Edward corner her and tell her to put away the stolen food. As Lulu laughs at them and heads for the terrace door, Alice appears. They tell her that she is under house arrest for her own good. Lulu reminds them that she is 18 and free to do what she likes. Edward says that she has been entrusted in their care and needs some supervision because she is showing bad judgment by hanging around with Logan Hayes. "You are our last chance to get this parenting thing right," Edward tells her. They tell her that she's beautiful and intelligent and far too vulnerable. "In other words, you're easy pickin's" Alice interprets. Monica explains that if Lulu needs to run errands, they will drive her. Edward tells Alice that she is in charge and if Lulu escapes, there will be serious consequences to pay. After Edward and Monica leave the room, Lulu asks Alice if she seriously plans to adhere to Edward's new rule. Alice says that she cares about Luke and that she is doing it for him. Lulu offers an exchange. She tells Alice that she WON'T tell everyone what she does in the boat house when no one is looking, in exchange for a some time out of the house. "You've got 2 hours," Alice tells her.
Edward and Monica warmly greet Skye when she arrives and Skye is skeptical. Edward tells her that Lulu is missing and they wonder if she knows where she is. Skye can't believe that they haven't called the police and Monica says that they plan to next. Edward says that he sprung Tracy from Shady Brook on a day pass to help find her. Just then, Tracy, Scott and Lulu come home and everybody starts arguing about Lulu's new curfew, etc. Tracy tells Alice to tell Cook that she'd like lamb chops for dinner and Edward tells her that it's Shady Brook or Lockup. "Don't let Lulu try this again," Tracy says on her way out the door.
At the Q mansion, Edward is being surly with Alice because Cook refuses to make dinner for anyone since there are so few of them now. Monica comes home from surgery and says that she's not hungry anyway. Alice offers to make Edward a "Dominator special" sandwich. Edward says that Dillon is only gone one day and now he's reduced to cold cuts. Monica asks if he has heard from Dillon yet, and Edward says that Ned called after they landed in LA. Edward says that Dillon will turn around and come home when he learns that Tracy is stuck in Shady Brook. Monica realizes that Edward has a plan. She tells him not to saddle Dillon with the burden of resurrecting ELQ. Then Alice brings a lettuce, humus & wheat germ sandwich for Edward and he grimaces. Then he tells Monica to mark his words -- Dillon will come back and work for ELQ.
The Quartermaines are still arguing over whether or not Dillon is leaving. Tracy pulls her blonde wig off and proclaims that she needs him. (And, she's arguing with Alan at the same time!) Scott arrives to take her back to Shady Brook. Alice says, "Who wants me to kick his ass and throw it out the door?" Before he takes Tracy, Scott wants to give his two cents worth. He tells Dillon that he was his age he was married to Laura - in fact today is their anniversary. He says that he has no regrets about his marriage to Laura even though he was young, so Dillon should trust his gut. Lulu tells Scott that she would be willing to go someplace and listen to Scott tell her about his anniversary with her mother. Scott is happy to go with her and Monica is quick to point out that Lulu distracted Scott from calling Shady Brook. Edward tells Tracy to go back on her own to Shady Brook, but instead she gets close to Dillon and tells him to stay. Dillon says that it's ironic that his mother is finally reaching out to him just as he doesn't need her anymore. He asks why she suddenly needs him. "I'm afraid you'll never come back," Tracy quietly says. Georgie arrives and tells Dillon that she's really happy for him and that he's going to be wonderful. Dillon turns to his mother and says the he won't be wasting his life, it's a year or two tops. He says that all those years in Europe, the films that he watched were more of a constant for him that his mother was. He says that movies put magic into his childhood and now he has a chance to learn how to make the magic for someone else's life. Edward begs Tracy to make a choice for once that isn't about her.
Edward tells his family that he never once spoke to Alan about the pride he had in his accomplishments. Alan says, "I know father," but only Tracy hears him. Tracy fights back tears as she says that she believes in Dillon 100%, but this is a mistake. Dillon kisses her on the head and says that she wouldn't be his mother if she agreed with him. He turns to Ned and says that he's taking him up on the offer. Ned tells him that they leave tonight. Tracy says that she won't stop him but she's still his mom and she won't say goodbye. "Works for me," Dillon says as he tries to hold back his tears. "I’m not going to say goodbye to any of you. I'm going to remember you just like this. (He holds his fingers in a rectangle as if he's framing the scene.) He and Ned hurry out the door to keep the tears at bay and as soon as they're gone Edward tells Alice to call Shady Brooke to come get Tracy.
At the Q mansion, Monica is surprised to see that Skye has come over. Skye says that she was summoned, but she doesn't know why. Edward is especially grumpy as Ned walks in and tells the family to say goodbye to Dillon. Edward says that Dillon hasn't even decided yet, and Dillon comes in and says that he has. As Edward continues to tell Dillon not to waste his life on movies, Monica tells him to shut up. Skye says that the family should show some love for a change and Edward tells her that she killed Alan. As the fighting gets out of control, Lulu comes in and tells them all to shut up. Dillon walks over to her and she sweetly tells him that she's happy for him and there will be a big gap in her life when he's gone. They both cry as they hug and she says that she hopes he can forgive her someday. He jokes that he'll "work on it." Skye tells him that he has "talent and vision to spare". Then Monica hugs him and says that she's very proud of him. Alice picks him up and squeezes him. Finally Edward stands and says, "You're a damn fool, but you're our damn fool. Goodbye, good luck and don't you dare call asking for money!" Just then, the terrace doors fly open and a very breathless, blonde-wigged Tracy busts into the room.
The Q family makes fun of Tracy's wig and the fact that she escaped Shady Brooke. Edward tells Alice to confiscate all sharp instruments. Tracy says that she wants to talk Dillon out of making the biggest mistake of his life.
