Boom! Week Over!

Friday, January 11 2008

Skye goes to the hospital because she wants to say goodbye to Edward and Monica. Then, she runs into Jax and says her goodbye to him. He asks why she's leaving. She comes right out and says that she was on the brink of another disastrous relationship and explains that Ric has even more baggage than she does and a relationship with him would've been pretty crowded. She tells Jax that she would feel better leaving him if he knew he was okay. Jax assures her that he and Carly are fine, but Skye doesn't believe that's possible with Carly.

Tracy reluctantly gives Luke and Skye some privacy and Skye tells him of her plan to start over somewhere green. Luke jokes that she's going to live in a money vault and then they laugh over some of their adventures together. Luke asks her if she thinks it's good to keep an endangered species in a cage and when she seems confused, he says he has a favor to ask of her. Later, Edward finds Skye on her way out and asks her to tell Lila Rae about her namesake when she gets older. Skye seems in a rush and says she hates goodbyes. As she gets on the elevator, Luke (dressed as a limo driver) is there with her!

Inside at the nurses' desk, Mayor Floyd is brought in on a stretcher after hurting himself in a skateboard accident. Edward, Monica and Epiphany are rushing around to get him some help and that's when Joe and his wife return. Joe informs them that this time he's brought his insurance with him. He opens his coat to reveal that a bomb is strapped to his waist.

Defending Luke's Life.

Thursday, January 03 2008

Luke finds that while the GH staff is working on his code blue - his soul is in Purgatory. He plays the role of the judge, as well as the defense AND prosecuting attorneys! The first witness is Alexis, who admits that Luke asked her to help him kill Helena and didn't show any remorse. The next witness is Carly, who tells the court that he blackmailed her not to come forward and admit that she is Bobbie's daughter. Edward is next and his biggest beef is that Luke got Tracy drunk and duped her into marrying him. Mac comes to the stand and tells the court that Luke slept with Felicia while he was married to Laura. Blaze is next and she sheepishly admits that she had sexual relations with Luke while he was married to Tracy. Guess who's next? Tracy - who has volunteered to testify against her own husband. She says that he poisoned her martini once among other things. Nikolas enters his comments about Luke referring to him "the Spawn" and Leslie Webber reports that Luke constantly put her daughter in danger. Scott says that Luke stole his wife and even raped her.

After much damning evidence against Luke, the slacker defense lawyer gets to call his witnesses. Bobbie starts by saying that her big brother always took care of her; in fact he encouraged her to become a prostitute. Lucky says that his father was so unconventional that he used to admit that he hated being a father. He goes on to say that he learned how to lie, cheat and run a scam from his dear old dad. Then Lulu tells the court that her absent father never really even tried to bond with her. Luke tries to speak on his own behalf, but the judge turns to the jury for their plea. One by one, everyone who has spoken stands and says "guilty" except for Tracy. She convinces them to give him another chance, so, one by one, they all say something to the effect of "not guilty, but not too innocent either".

Another funeral.

Friday, December 21 2007

People start coming into the church, first Edward and then Ric and Skye. Felicia has taken her place next to Mac and they receive the guests together, along with Robin. Patrick offers his sympathies to Robin and then Mike has some great stories to share with Felicia about how Georgie befriended the customers at Kelly's.

Liz's Tender Goodbye.

Wednesday, November 28 2007

The funeral has ended and everyone is filtering out of the church. Sam watches as Lucky compliments Liz on her speech. Then, they agree to stop fighting even though Lucky says that he doesn't know if he'll ever be able to forgive her lie about Jake. Nik finds the entire Q family and thanks them. They tell him that he is the one who made Emily's dreams come true. Nik leaves and Edward asks if they are supposed to just go home and start over without her? Ned says that should try to stop bickering at least. Monica says that they should go home, in that case, and be gracious for Emily. Lucky tries to hop in the car with Nikolas - so he won't have to go back to Wyndemere alone, but Nik says he wants to be alone and screeches off.

Emily's Funeral Begins.

Tuesday, November 27 2007

When Nik, Lucky and Liz arrive at the church, Edward is already there lightening a candle. He tells Lucky that he was always a great friend to Emily and Liz was more like a sister. Then he addresses Nikolas. He thanks him for not listening when he tried to chase him out of Emily's life. "You made her very happy," Edward says. Liz, Nik and Lucky take their seats as other people start to arrive, first Monica followed by Dillon and Ned. Edward says that their family has lost so much…A.J., Justice, Lila, Alan and now Emily. He doesn't know how much more he can take. Jax arrives, then Maxi and Georgie. Dillon and Georgie catch up for a few minutes. He asks her why she isn't returning any of his phone calls and she admits that there is someone that she is interested in now. Dillon tells her that she is still his best friend and he wants her to be happy. Leslie is there, complimenting Monica on teaching Emily how to be a good mother to her grandson (Spencer). Monica reminds Leslie that the two of them spent years fighting over Rick and now here they are alone. Lainey and Kelly are smiling about how Emily could throw back tequila shots, and Logan greets Lulu when she arrives with Tracy. The first thing Tracy does is tell Monica that she regrets the way she treated Emily. She explains that she resented the way everyone compared her to Lila. "I am so sorry for your loss Monica and I hope you can forgive me," Tracy chokes out the words before she takes her seat. Monica is touched by her honesty. Jax finds Alexis and sees how worried she is about Nik. "It might help if he didn't have you to worry about." He explains that Jerry's nurse tells him that she has been checking in on his brother. Alexis says that she is just concerned about her client, that's all. Jax warns her not to get too close to his brother.

As the service is about to start, Monica sees Spinelli enter the church. She tells Edward that she doesn't want anyone connected to Sonny in the building. Edward says that the boy is harmless and Emily wouldn't object. Monica walks over to Nik's bench and asks for a word with him. He asks if there's anything he can do for her and Monica says that Emily loved his manners. She tells him that the last few months were the most joyous time for Emily -- because of him and Spencer.

(Un)Happy Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, November 21 2007

Ned has arrived at the Q mansion and is hugging Edward. He walks his grandfather over to the sofa so they can sit down and talk. Edward says that he feels broken inside over the loss of Emily. Monica walks into the room and calmly tells Ned that that they only seem to see him at holidays and funerals and today he gets to kill two birds with one stone. Ned and Edward sit quietly and let her ramble. She says that she should've cleared her calendar and been at the ball herself to celebrate the endowment for Alan. Then Dillon arrives and says all the right things to Monica. She tells him that she's glad to see him, but can't say anything meaningful right now. She says that if she would've spent her daughter's last few hours with her maybe she could've made a difference. Ned points out that Anthony Zacchara is a madman who couldn't be stopped. Monica points out that he is a mobster, just as her son is.
