Back in the bride's room, Mac tells Robin that if Patrick left her at the altar, he'll kill him! Robin calmly says that Patrick will be there. Spinelli is trying to figure out if Patrick took any trains or planes out of town, and Robin calls the hospital. She learns that he checked out over an hour ago.
The crowd in the sanctuary is getting restless. Edward grumbles that Robin's too good for such a skirt chaser and when Sonny takes his seat, he ducks for cover. Robin appears at the back of the aisle, everyone nervously rises to their feet. Robin tells them to stay seated and that she just came out to ask them to be patient and the wedding will get underway soon. She tells them that they all know how tumultuous her relationship with Patrick has been, but they are committed now and no one should worry. Edward says that if no one has the decency to escort her home, he will! Mac says that he's the uncle of the bride and he'll do it! Robin insists that she's not leaving with anyone but her husband.
That's when Patrick rushes into the church. Robin just smiles and shakes her head when she sees how rumpled he looks in his tux. Maxie insists that they do everything the traditional way and pushes Patrick to the altar and Robin to the back of the aisle. Coleman fixes Patrick's tie, and Mac and Anna each give Robin the classic bittersweet sentiments of parents who are about to lose their only child.
Liz and Jason are enjoying a stolen moment at Queen of Angels. They're at the altar, of all places! She tells him that she feels as if she's dreaming to be with him, like this. Suddenly Maxie, Mac and Robin arrive and Mac gets in Jason's face for showing up. Robin asks for a moment alone and asks Jason what changed his mind about coming? She's happy to hear that Maxie was the person to finally get through to him about how important he is to her on this day.
Out in the sanctuary, Maxie is in a rush to go home and change, but Mac pulls her down on the pew next to him. He talks about the first time he met Robin, and then recalls the day he married Felicia and inherited her and Georgie, too. Maxie says it doesn't seem fair that he got stuck with all of them. She asks what he might've done with his life if he hadn't been burdened with three girls to raise. Mac says that was the most important thing he ever did. Maxie says he did a great job with Robin and Georgie, but Mac insists that he did great with all of them.
Mac and Coleman find themselves together in the lobby greeting guests. In the rare moments that Coleman isn't telling the women that they look hot, he asks Mac if they can pretend that he didn't bust him a few dozen times, just for today! Mac insists that Coleman perform his Best Man duties and find out where Patrick is.
It's wedding central over at Mac's house. He's nervously making phone calls to the PCPD involving the traffic flow to the church while Robin calmly puts stamps on envelopes. Suddenly, there's a whirling sound of a helicopter outside and then Anna comes through the front door. She had a last-minute assignment and then took a little time to see Robert, who is doing better and sends his love, by the way. She asks if she should help Mac with the security for the wedding, but Robin tells her that she should relax and have fun, that's all that's left to do thanks to Maxie. Anna sits with her and becomes emotional about all of her daughter's milestones that she's reaching. Then she talks about her regrets for not being there for Robin after Stone died. Robin says that she's here now and she couldn’t be happier about that.
It's time for Robin to leave for the church and she finds that the limo out front of Mac's house is surrounded by squad cars! Maxie suddenly realizes that everything is accounted for except the groom. Then she tells Spinelli to go make sure that the best man hasn't gotten him drunk at Jake's. Robin confidently tells them all to relax because Patrick won't be late.
Over at Robin's place, Maxie and Robin are guiding Spinelli and Patrick in the fine art of making bird seed packets to toss after the wedding vows are exchanged. Patrick keeps asking why such things are important, and Maxie explains that he needs to be more like Spinelli who listens like a girl would. Spinelli is wounded by the comparison, but Maxie is able to turn it into a compliment somehow. Patrick makes a lame excuse and heads out of there faster than if he were on fire. Mac shows up and snags a little alone time with Robin. She asks him to walk her down the aisle and they speak of Robert who is fighting cancer. Mac says that he wishes Robert could do the honor, but that he would be proud to do it and give his blessing. He clarifies that he'll never give her away, however.
Sam is scrambling over at her place to convince her mother to believe her. She tells Mac that she has been working undercover for months on trying to prove that Jerry and Karpov are smuggling drugs. Alexis tells Sam to stop talking and let Mac arrest her. Then she promises that she'll have Diane meet her at the PCPD. Lucky bursts through the door and Mac tells him that this isn't his case. Lucky says that he came because he and Sam used to be involved. Sam tells Lucky that he bailed on her months ago and needs to leave.
