Emily convinces Nikolas to focus on Colleen.

Mac has received the forensic report from the Parapet and it proves that there are indeed two sets of prints: Helena's and Colleen's. But there is no way to tell which of the two was held captive. Helena explains that she knew that Colleen was a threat to her great grandson before anyone else. She insists that Mac issue an Amber alert. Mac decides that Helena should be arrested for the kidnapping. Nikolas changes his mind and tells them to let her go.

Detective Rodriguez is introduced to Father Mateo Ruiz. The Detective is suspicious of him, but tells him he will be questioned about Spencer along with everyone else. Nikolas tells Mac that he believes that Colleen has his son, so Helena should be freed. Mike is furious, but Emily and Nikolas tell him that Colleen won't hurt the baby. Emily questions how much money Colleen can possibly have to cover her tracks? Nikolas says that he suspects Helena is behind it somehow. He intends to let his grandmother lead him to his son.

The Holiday Pageant is perfect. Except for the ending.

Alexis and the girls come to the hospital for the party. Ric is there, looking on. He tells Alexis "ho ho ho". She playfully asks if he has come to steal Christmas. He tells her that he wants a glimpse of the girls during the holidays. Alexis is somewhat cheerful and he wonders why. Maxi has decided to play an elf for the annual Christmas "story" and Mac asks her why she isn't at home resting after her miscarriage. Lucky joins them and asks the same thing. She says she'd rather be helping cheer kids up than be at home mourning her loss.

Liz is done with Lucky.

At the PCPD, Lucky is demanding that Mac investigate who might have had the opportunity to plant pills in his desk. Mac tells him that unless the drug test comes back negative, it won't matter. Lucky swears that it will. Mac has called Maxi down to the station to ask her if Lucky asked her to get him some more pills. Maxi tells her father that he certainly has not. The test results come back in and they are negative.

Sonny's heart is breaking.

At the PCPD, Lulu realizes that Jason is outside the interrogation room door. She and Spinelli go out to see what’s going on. Ric is telling Jason and his attorney that they are being forced to drop the charges because the evidence is missing. Before Mac sets Jason free, he gets all fired up and warns him that he is tired of seeing Jason get off on all of his charges. As Jason, Spinelli and Lulu leave, Lulu reminds Spinelli that she needs help on a case. He goes off on one of his tangents, saying “The jackal runs alone and free!” Jason holds him by the shirt and tells him that he will help Lulu. Lulu gives a sheepish grin.

Spinelli proves to be worth the trouble.

In Ric’s office, Mac is asking him to turn over the master copy of the flash drive that incriminates Sonny and Jason’s business. Ric doesn’t want to let it out of his sight just yet. Mac begrudgingly leaves empty-handed. Ric’s phone rings and it’s Sonny. Sonny tells Ric to be at his house in 30 minutes to talk about Molly and Kristina. If he doesn’t show up, Sonny will know that he’s not interested in cooperating and will act accordingly. Sonny knows that he has just cleared the way for Jason and Spinelli to head out.

Spinelli and Jason are brought into the PCPD. Sonny has hired a new lawyer and she is waiting for them. Spinelli tells Mac that the flash drive dummied up is a fake. No one takes him seriously, so Jason tells them that he can prove it. Lucky, Detective Cruse, Mac, Jason and the lawyer all sit around a computer while Spinelli shows how he did it. The department IT guy confirms that he’s telling the truth. Spinelli thinks he’s free to go and stands up, but Lucky pushes him back down in his chair. Mac says he’s not going anywhere. Mac asks him who gave him the flash drive assignment in the first place. Spinelli names Alcazar.

As Ric is leaving Sonny’s he gets a call from Mac. Ric starts to panic as he hears that Mac wants the original flash drive right away to compare it with the one Sam supposedly stole. Mac tells Ric, “The information on the drive Spinelli just turned in is fabricated.”

At Kelly’s Georgie is talking to Mike now, Pete has left. She tells him that Dillon doesn’t have time to hang our as much anymore. She’s glad that she watched so many old movies together in the past because they will really help her with her new project. As she’s talking to Mike, she sees that Maxi has come into the diner and is hanging around the stairs. Georgie walks over to her and asks Maxi why she is heading upstairs? Maxi says that she simply wanted to put a copy of her first ultrasound in Lucky’s room. Georgie tries to explain that a baby isn’t enough to win Lucky’s love. She points out that their dad (Frisco Jones!) didn’t stick around for them and he even loved their mom.

Even with a name like Lucky, it's not all good.

Mac rushes into Maxi's room and thanks God that she's ok. "What caused the arrhythmia?" he asks her. Maxi simply says that it's complicated. Mac tells her to simplify it for him. She said, "I overdosed." She told him to brace himself and proceeds to tell him everything. The affair with Lucky, the fact that Lucky used her to get him street drugs, and that last night he dumped her.
