Carly has Sonny tucked in on her couch, but Jax is at the door! She carefully pulls Sonny to his feet and stashes him in the next room. When Carly finally opens the door, she finds the one thing she's been hoping for - her husband. He tells her that he was driving by and saw the lights and she explains that she's just checking on the house. He buys her story, and then tells her how much he misses her. He asks if she had to choose between him and Sonny, who would it be? Carly says that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him and that Sonny is her past. He suggests that they have dinner, but finally she is able to convince him that tomorrow night would be best.
After Jax leaves, Carly puts Sonny back on the couch. He tells her that she should've gone with Jax. She tells him that he really owes her because Jax finally wants to talk about reconciling, but she's too busy saving his sorry life! Sonny thanks her, and says she should go. Carly agrees to go if he'll let her drop him off at the hospital on her way. Sonny reminds her that Karpov needs to think he's dead.
Cliffhanger Monday!
Somewhere beneath the water in the harbor, Sonny's slow descent comes to a halt when he hits the bottom. As visions of everything significant in his life flash before his eyes, Carly appears, swimming with all of her might. She struggles with the chains around his feet and has to go up for more air several times. Finally, she's able to free him and pull him to the surface.
Once they are on the dock, Carly gives Sonny CPR and realizes that he was stabbed, too! Sonny comes around and asks how she found him. She says that she had a meeting with Karpov and came around the corner just as they threw him in. He demands to know what the meeting was about, but she orders him to lie down! He's bleeding too much for her to handle and she wants to call 911. He tells her no cops! She finally relents and takes him back to her place.
When they arrive, she explains that they've been staying at The Metro Court so no one will find them here. Sonny says that Karpov will think he's dead so he has time to hit back. Carly wants him to stop while he's ahead or her saving his life was a big waste of time. He asks what she was doing meeting Karpov anyway? She tells Sonny that she wanted to prove that Karpov didn't shoot Kate so he wouldn't have to go to war. He tries to get her to leave, but she refuses because she is afraid he'll bleed to death.
Laura Comes Alive!
Back in Port Charles, Nik and Carly are standing near the bar at The Metro Court looking towards Jax and the woman he's sitting with. Carly can tell by Jax's body language that he's not flirting, so it must be a business meeting. She says that her husband is up to something and it likely won't bode well for them. Nik isn't ruffled.
Tequila Time!
Carly pops in on Jason and learns that Sonny is about to make a deal with Zacchara to run his organization. Carly is enraged as she points out that Zacchara just wants Sonny to implode! She asks Jason how he plans on stopping it and Jason says that he'll have to give Sonny back his business. He says that he'd like to walk away from it all, but he doesn't want to give Sonny a loaded gun. Carly apologizes for getting him into this whole thing.
Jax is in debonair businessman mode over at The Metro Court. He's meeting with a female broker about buying Spoon Island out from under Nikolas. Carly spots him from across the room as she offers Nikolas some papers to sign. She tells him that Jax is up to something.
Spinelli's Committed. Literally.
Nadine and Nik scramble to pull themselves together as Carly bursts into the study at Wyndemere. Nadine immediately assumes that Carly has come to flirt with Nikolas some more. She says that she saw them at The Metro Court and if Nikolas is foolish enough to go for her, she's out of here! After she's gone, Nik continues to look for his shirt and finally Carly produces it. She tells him that she can't do business with a half naked man and then hands it over.
Team Lulu Comes Together.
Nikolas meets Carly at The Metro Court bar. She tells him that his offer to buy her shares just doesn't add up. He calmly explains, again, why he wants to buy in. Finally, he says that he might be motivated by a woman. He offers little by way of explanation, but says that the thought of waking up every day in Port Charles and working from there, rather than jetting to his holdings all over the world, is starting to appeal to him.
