Jax tells Carly that he came halfway around the world for her and the boys. He tells her to stop looking for reasons why they can't work. Jax reminds Carly that he risked himself by trusting his secret about baby John with her. (Inferring that life is a risk.) She admits that she does want him. She reminds him that not too long ago, she ended up in a sanitarium. She explains that she's not going to break the promises she made to herself after she recovered. He kisses her and she finally shuts up.
Carly tears herself from Jax's lips and says she needs some breathing room. Jax charms her into some more kissing and they agree that they are madly in lust and start to make out again. Sonny storms in and announces that they need to talk. He says it's a private family matter and Carly proclaims that Jax is her guest. Jax gets the hint, kisses Carly and leaves. Carly asks Sonny if he's jealous, to which Sonny says, "You and Jax can bop around like bunnies if you want." He explains that he's there to warn of the danger looming from Alcazar. Sonny tells her to keep the door locked, even when she and Jax are on the couch acting like horny teenagers. He says the last time he checked, "Jax wasn't packing much heat." He warmly suggests that the Carly he used to know was smart enough to be afraid when she should be.
A sexily-clad Carly finds Jax and tells him that she's booked a room at the Metrocourt for them. Jax says he'll have to take a rain check, that he thinks she's doing it to "stick it to Sonny." He tells her that he doesn't want to sleep with her for the wrong reasons.
Lulu deals with a new day as Luke takes off for unknown reasons.
Carly and Jax are at the hospital waiting for news about Alexis. Carly tries to get Jax to take a break and go somewhere with her for a little while. She says it's really important and that it's "about us".
At the waterfront, Michael, Morgan and Carly tell Jax that his new boat needs some barnacles. They need to go out sailing, of course. Carly tells him the conditions are good and by the time they get back, maybe Alexis's test results will be in. So Jax squats down and teaches Michael how to tie some sailing knots.
The happy sailors return to the waterfront and Jax promises to take Carly and the boys to the Caribbean some time, Carly seems to freak out a little and quickly ushers the boys away with a quick goodbye.
Back at Carly's house, Jax enters and asks why she acted so weirdly after they went sailing. She admits that it's one thing that she is risking her heart on Jax, but it's completely unfair to let her boys get attached, too. Why? "Because it can never last…" She explains that they never know when he's going to pick up and leave again.
Lucky Refuses to Let Liz Leave Him
Jax confesses to Carly about his assumptions on what would be here when he decided to return to Port Charles. Carly tries understanding his selfishness but he has more regrets, especially after finding out about Alexis cancer. He tells Carly how much he needs her. She tries to understand that he's terribly worried about losing Alexis and gives him a "free pass" on any promises he's trying to make at the moment. But Jax disagrees telling Carly that he's not making any frivolous promises, he really needs her for life!
Sonny storms in wanting to talk with Carly immediately and Jax offers to leave. She confronts Sonny replying that it better be damned important. He explains why he lied to Alexis about Kristina and doesn't know what to do. He asks for her help wanting to remove Kristina out of Ric's home tonight and thinks Carly could be of comfort for his little girl. Sonny continues, explaining that Ric is trash and without Alexis to keep him in check, he's going to go down his own roads again. Carly agrees but tries to explain that at that moment, Kristina feels safe in that home and doesn't need to be torn away from that. Her life needs to be as normal as possible, especially if her mother dies.
Jax returns after Sonny leaves and Carly needs to get something off her back. She was determined not to let him in her heart but she's crazy about him and doesn't want to miss out on anything else with him. Jax smiles and whispers that he's so happy to hear that. Michael interrupts them wondering who's here?
Alexis Takes a Turn For the Worse
Carly and Jax spend time with the boys and end up kissing each other. Michael gets upset and asks them to stop. Carly talks to her son asking if seeing her kiss Jax makes him upset? Michael replies he just thinks it's gross for anyone to be kissing.
Later that night, Sonny shows up yelling that Michael called him earlier all upset that he saw her and Jax kissing. Attempting to calm Sonny down she tells him they'll deal with Michael together later but they have to get to the hospital because apparently Alexis has taken a turn for the worse.
Sonny Threatens Ric's Life
Carly talks to management about not taking orders from Jax. She receives another phone call regarding the finalization of the sale of the hotel. She confronts Jax about him ignoring her wishes. He smiles and assures her that she'll appreciate the deal as soon as she sees the paperwork. Carly smirks that he better hope she likes the offer otherwise he's down a river. She then asks him what he's doing for dinner and kisses him.
